Constant Goda is an exceptional author. He cares and helps people!

Art Based Somatic Therapy is new to me and intrigued me into reading The Body Knows. I was fascinated by the idea of being able to work through Post Traumatic Stress through the use of Art which can, through Symbolism and Analogy, bring to conscious awareness things that are not yet ready to be released through words.

The risk of overwhelm is handled with recommendations on how to release past stress, struggle, and trauma in small doses.

Self-love, self-care, and self-compassion are brought to the forefront and many methods, and materials needed, are described in a step-by-step way to guide readers through these healing processes.

The stories of the traumas of individuals and their unique uses of art based somatic therapies allow for readers with similar traumas to feel safer when stepping into this healing modality.

Thoughtfully and well written!

I have been having some health issues and downloaded The Body Knows by Constant Goda to help. It emphasizes active participation in recovery through somatic art therapy, combining creative expression with emotional healing. Goda’s clear and concise writing makes complex concepts accessible to all readers. The book is well-organized, guiding readers with practical advice and anecdotes from trauma survivors. It introduces somatic art therapy, which uses simple art activities to connect the body and mind for emotional recovery and is filled with easy exercises and real-life success stories.
This hands-on approach integrates Somatic and Arts Therapy principles, offering a powerful toolkit for recovery. The real-life stories are particularly inspiring, making the concepts relatable.

start restoring your body

You never know how your body will overcome trauma and pain. There are so many different therapies and you don’t know what will help without trying something. The author delves into somatic art based therapy to help you get your life back. One thing I found interesting is that just because the physical aspect is healed you still may have mind trauma also. By using the steps it can help you heal.
