I was born and raised in the mountains of Colorado, before moving to Oregon. As a kid, I enjoyed the freedom of a childhood spent outside. My days were spent running through and exploring the woods, sledding down our road towards the highway, or any number of other activities I probably shouldn't have survived.

As an adult, I decided to give back to my community and joined my local fire department. I spent over a decade and a half as a firefighter and emergency management professional.

I developed a passion for writing as a form of stress relief. The amount of stories in my head feels endless, but I have one rule: write books I want to read.
