DK Marie’s a voracious reader. Her number one love is romance and devours any and all of its genres, but also enjoys thrillers, horror, and non-fiction. Basically, if there are words on a page and a spectacular story, she’s diving in, heart and soul.

However, there’s one thing she loves even more, and that’s writing her own steamy contemporary romances. They’re a mixture of heart, heat, and humor. Brimming with confident heroines and kind heroes, all living, loving, and lusting in and around her hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

When not falling in love with her characters, DK Marie is laughing, relaxing, and planning her next adventure with her family. Okay, and also drinking boatloads of coffee, chatting on social media, and dreaming about her next travel destination.

The poems were about lust, love and sex. It was sexy and seductive and sometimes a little heartbreaking, but still empowering and gorgeous to read!
Me, personally as a reader, am still a youngster in the world of reading poetry. But you don’t have to be an expert to enjoy these little pieces of beauty.

Sensual Scribbles is an evocative and emotionally charged collection that explores the intensity of passion, the depths of pain, and the raw energy of primal human experience. D.K. Marie uses lyrical and expressive language to create poems that are both intimate and compelling.

The strength of the collection lies in its ability to capture powerful emotions with authenticity and nuance. Each poem contributes to a cohesive exploration of desire, vulnerability, and the human condition. Sensual Scribbles is particularly suited for readers who enjoy poetry that is deeply emotional, sensual, and thought-provoking.

"Sensual Scribbles - Seductive Poetry For The Passionate Soul".

I think you would only have to see the cover of this book to know what you're getting. This is a romantic poetry book. If you asked me what it was like to read this, I would say that each poem was a scrumptious little serving, to feed the passions of the heart and soul. Of course, each poem was a little different, there were different tastes and flavours.

Love, lust and sex were very present themes in all of these poems; that goes without saying. These poems were sultry, sexy, steamy, but still beautiful and powerful to read.

I think that the beauty of poetry is often underappreciated, and often when it comes to poetry, part of its beauty is its ambiguity, because there is no clear meaning and it's very open to interpretation.

I tried to read these poems in a thoughtful way, savouring them, because sometimes, an arrangement of words on a page can be beautiful. If you are someone who enjoys romantic poetry, this is the perfect book to read around Valentine's Day, or perhaps to give to your spouse as a gift.
