A few too many 'sweetheart's and the story was very rushed butt she did run a bookstore/coffeeplace

Honestly the worst book I have ever read. I probably would’ve DNF if it wasn’t only 107 pages long. Also if I hear “easy sweetheart” ever again I think I might vom.

This book puts me in a fall mood and I don’t want to get out of it.

Meredith is a young woman who just lost her mother to ovarian cancer. One day she decides to pack up all her things and take a cross-country trip with her dog Max to all the places her mom wanted to visit. She finds a small town that calls to her and decides to stay there and open a small bookstore\coffee shop. One day the town sheriff visits her shop for some coffee. He is tall, dark and handsome with tattoos and their relationship slowly develops from there but Meredith has a dark past that is tragic and comes back to haunt her.

I love how T.Thomas handles Meredith’s social anxiety from her past trauma. I love her relationship with her dog Max and how he comforts her with her anxiety. Chase is such a great love interest with the way he just knows how to take care of Meredith’s anxiety and make her feel comfortable. I loved their cute dates together drinking coffee and just talking about random stuff. It was so cute, Also I love the bookstore aspect with having the TikTok section and smutty books that was cool. At the end of the book, some eventful things happen and it keeps me hooked.

Overall this is a Sweet small-town romance that gives lots of fall vibes. I can't wait to read about Chase's sister and his best friend. I highly recommend this book. It is short and under a hundred pages.

Sweet small town romance. Along the lines of a Hallmark movie. Kept my interest wished there was more to Chase and Meredith's story like a final wrap up look into their future. But over all 5 out of 5 would definitely read it again. I think I experienced all of my emotions while reading Falling For You.

I was looking forward to this book putting me into a fall cosy feeling! And it did, kind of!

This books is very short read, it’s easy doesn’t e up much time. And it follows a young girl who has gone through a traumatic experience and has moved to a new town to start a life.

Here is where she meets the local Sheriff and he falls immediately. You follow their love story and it’s cute.

But, I wanted more. It is a short story so I know they needed to get the plot out but it was far too rushed for me. For someone with such trauma they wouldn’t go at this speed so as much as it’s a cute easy read for me it was hard to build it was real.

I would have loved a longer book, more background on the characters. More character development from the FMC she could have slowly come out of her she’ll and the MMC could proud he was interested slowly and respectfully.

All in all this book is good, it’s easy it’s cute but for me not the best book ever.

I mean it was a really quick read but that’s probably one of the only good things. I feel like the plot had so much potential to be longer and to actually have depth to it. It just felt like this happened, then this, then this and then this if that makes sense. It’s kinda deep in parts and it would have benefited to be discussed less causally.

Super fast-paced romance. Many secondary storylines were not cleared up super well and basically came out of nowhere. The characters got together in a seemingly unrealistic way.

-2.5 stars! First I was a bit hesitant about the story but I somewhat enjoyed it further on even if it was a bit rushed. If I read “sweetheart” or “girly” one more time…🙃

The only reason I’ve read this book was because it included a service dog and it was free for my kindle app. It was very fast paced, way too much if you ask me. However, it did gave a pretty good example of a psychiatric service dog which I liked and have never read before so only for that reason it’s a 2.5⭐️

I didn't expect that I would enjoy reading this book. While the love at first sight trope and the chemistry between the protagonists didn’t quite hit the mark for me, the story reveals surprising depth and emotion as it unfolds. I was deeply moved by what happened to Meredith and her mom, as well as Grayson, and his mom. Nobody deserves to be treated that way, and their struggles added a powerful layer to the story. Definitely a perfect read for those who enjoy a fast-paced book.

Absolutely a good romance novel. Keeps you wanting more and keeps you intrigued. Not normally the kind of romance novel I read however I finished this within hours of starting it and want the next book!

This was rough.. I didn’t care for either of the characters besides Max the dog. Maybe I’m crazy but I would have enjoyed a description of the dog or even what kind of dog he was.

Meredith? Absolutely insufferable, she needs more than just a service dog the way she passes out at every little inconvenience or scare. Chase? If I had to read him call her “sweetheart” another time, I was going to throw my kindle.

The story line?? Didn’t even make sense! They referred to her business as a book store when it seems it was more of a coffee shop than a book store. The whole thing about her being abused by the neighbor, first of all why did he get out of jail that soon? How did he even find where she is? Bad bad bad, I’m glad it was only 100 and some pages because I cannot lol

i'm in tears.

SPOILERS AHEAD⚠️
this book was everything to read and enjoy for fall / autumn weather. i absolutely adore both chase and meredith from the beginning of this story. you can tell chase instantly loved meredith from day one. i felt bad for her since she had to navigate her life without her mother but she had her service dog with her.
meredith's dad nearly pissed me off for breaking in right after chase left to go to the fire. i thought her dad was going to kill max but thankfully max survived but was looking for meredith. my heart was nearly broken when meredith almost died. but chase and meredith had my heart throughout this book that i want their love. definitely such a fast paced book that i enjoy.

2 stars 🌟

Very cosy autumnal small-town vibes, but it just felt very rushed (which is a bit obvious considering there’s only 100 pages) and not a believable love story at all. Chase (MMC) was a bit patronising at times and there wasn’t any chemistry at all (imo).

Seemed to have a lot of secondary plots that didn’t really tie-in or make sense, and then it just suddenly ended (but again, obvious to how short the book is).

If the book was longer and these could be delved into more, then I’d say it could gain a few more stars, but it’s 2 stars for what it is.

This book was sooo cute, I really enjoyed it. It wasn't just a cute romance tho, it also had some serious topics and moments. I absolutely love small town romances, so really enjoyed this. The characters were soo nice, sweet, fun and loveable, really loved them. The main characters are sooo cute together! I do think it all happened fast tho, but it wasn't that long so kinda made sense. Also almost cried

This could have been so, so good if it were a 300ish page book!
I love the story, but it could have dragged out a lot more.
Page 1 she moved to a new town.
Page 5 she has a own shop there.
Page 30 and she was in a relationship.

But hey, it's only 100ish pages so I didn't expect anything else.

Overall, very enjoyable and an easy read. It did deal with some heavier topics, so check Trigger warnings if you have to.

Cute, fast, and cozy fall read. I LOVED that coffee was apart of the whole story! It was a great way to kick off the fall season!
I would say I would have loved a little more clarity on the plot. It seemed really fast for the romance, character build up, and the dual POV wasn’t always clear. The ending seemed kinda rushed as well.

4.5⭐️ summary of the book : autumn, Meredith runs a bookstore/coffee shop with her service dog, Max, and Chase is the sheriff in town, clean small town romance, love at first sight!! This book was fast-paced, sometimes rushed, but it was expected for such a small book. Would’ve loved a bigger book for this story as i got so attached to every character.

Meredith left the town she grew up in after suffering something unimaginable and then her mothers death. Chase was the sheriff of a small town that Meredith ended up settling in with her service dog. Cause and Meredith realized an instant attraction and began to slowly court. And the the unthinkable happened. With danger, horrible pasts coming back, and fear, Chase and Meredith fought for their HEA. Sweet and emotional read

Meredith loads up Max and takes off on a cross country trip. She meets Chase who instantly falls in love with her. They are beautifully written characters. Can he keep her or are they doomed to fail?

This book gave me cavities.
Was the writing exceptional? No.
Was the story predictable? Yes.
Did I want to know what was going to happen next? Yes.

In short; this book did what it needed to do and I can appreciate that.

Wow! My heart went out to Meredith and everything she has endured in her short life. Little did she know that she would find healing and unconditional love when she decided to move to a small town in Tennessee. Chase was the local sheriff and fell head over heels the moment he saw Meredith. Right from the start Chase seemed to know exactly how to read Meredith and her needs. Chase gave Meredith peace and safety, two things she desperately needed in her life. This couple, along with some fun side characters, made a beautiful, sweet and clean romance that only T. Thomas knows how to create. Looking forward to the next book in this new series.

it was cute but it would’ve been so much better if it was 300+ pages as half the story felt like it was missing
