Sean Stanley grew up in the woods of Northern Ontario. He dropped out of the University of Victoria's Creative Writing program in 1998; since then he has worked as a gas station attendant, house painter, janitor, furniture mover, warehouse packer, stonemason's assistant, paving crew labourer, surveyor's assistant, book store clerk, handyman, bartender, and documentary filmmaker.
