This is another exciting book with Detective Brooks and District Attorney Ethan Mathews. If you read the two previous books, you will remember that the two were trying to put away some heinous people including high politicians. I hated to see how a trusted co detective had tried to burn up Piper in her house and had given her PTSD and was not the strong willed woman she used to be. I loved how Ethan loved Piper and was determined to take care of her and protect her. The story was so exciting with twists and turns. I so wanted Ethan and Piper to take down all those awful people. There were so many suspenseful times I would not put my book down for anything! I strongly encourage you to read the book.

CHALLENGED brings new challenges into the lives of DPD Detective Piper Brooks and DA Ethan Mathews. It’s a sure page-turner with its intense emotions, drama, and passion. The surprise that awaits Piper and Ethan at the end may just be their biggest challenge of all, leaving you eager to know where their journey is headed next.

Too much blasphemous language!!!
I disliked that almost every swear word used the Lord's name in vain. Phrases such as "Goddammit", "Jesus God", " Christ" and many more using God's name disrespectfully. I disliked that Ethan hit Piper on her butt to make her shut up. A case of abuse on a woman. I disliked all of the comments made about her body from co-workers and her boss. The men could not do that in a work place. Could have been a great book but a person would need a dictionary to understand some of the words. Again, it did not need all that.

This is a book about how the many challenges that Ethan and Piper encounter while dealing with the biggest cases in their experiences.
Lots of suspense, romance, and jealous women abound. Problems come from every direction that would put some people in the looney bin. Piper and Ethan handle everything thrown at them with grace except for when Piper is threatened.
I hot an advance copy for giving my honest opinion . This is a fantastic read from Ms Lee.

okay read
Okay read. Dominant alpha male with beautiful supposedly equally strong woman working in law enforcement dealing with fallout from attempted murder of said female. Over the top self praise and adoration of those working with them. Good storyline if self appreciative and over the top.
