Between Two Moons was a lovely and sad novel about a Muslim family in Brooklyn, their community and the forces that might tear it all apart. It was also an interesting insight into being a young Muslim woman, trying to conform to many different expectations and finding oneself in the middle of them all. To me, the strongest aspect of the novel were its characters and the writing, the gorgeous, gorgeous writing.
The only thing that bothered me was that a few side plots were not properly tied together in the end, and although that made sense in the context of the novel, it still annoyed me.
