An amazingly entertaining read. Must read.

This book captivated me from start to finish. I had been intrigued by Karthik's character in her previous book and diving into his story was highly entertaining. It didn't disappoint. I loved Karthik. He was a compelling, utterly charismatic alpha male, drawing me in like a magnet. Meenu beautifully captured his raw emotions, making his character feel incredibly genuine. Janhavi was a perfect leading lady for Karthik. Their chemistry was electric, setting my Kindle ablaze with their scorching romance and delightful banter. Each character was impeccably developed, enhancing the storyline and crafting an immensely enjoyable read. This stands out as Meenu Pillai's best work yet—a definite must-read.

For mutual convenience, they agree to a fake relationship. Despite having no room for any romantic relationships, they can't deny their feelings for each other and keep getting closer to each other. Will they realise their feelings for each other or will faith have some other plans?
The story is a ravishing romance with a pair of strong headed protagonists, dealing with emotional turmoil and baggage of broken personal life. The story establishes their backstories really well and surprises reader as their paths cross in a shocking twist. As a romantic story, the book excels in portraying the palpitations of two lovers. Jhanavi has her own marketing company. She lost her parents at a very young age. She has a stepfather with whom she does not have a good bonding.
Tall and handsome Karthik was "the enigma, the mystery" to her. His features would make even a ninety-year-old blush. His raven black eyes shone with mischief, mystery and a devilish glint to bewitch any soft heart. It seemed to her that Karthik knew all her dark fantasies and had the skills to make them come true.
"You moaned. Well, I do find it hot when a woman moans when I am touching her." Karthik grows intimacy with Jhanavi.
"He wasn’t this bad when I dated him.” why past dates are unfolding with new consequences? The author blends different conditions of relationship with modern day appearances.
Karthik had a fallout with his father Raj Singhania. Karthik Malhotra has taken over the Malhotra Group of Companies after the dispute.
Karthik and Jhanavi' meeting by chance in Paris is a significant turnaround for both of them. One kiss and they are attracted to each other like a moth to a flame.
Due to circumstances Jhanavi and Karthik have a turbulent marriage.
But does the intermittent feeling means they have separated from each other?
The nightmares that she had just stepped out of were horrific and bone-chilling. It made her stare at the life which Karthik wasn’t a part of. Why she had such an experience?

I liked the mysterious smartness of Karthik as well as the stubborn nature of Jhanavi to find the truth who was responsible to kill her father.
The book tells us a beautiful love story filled with emotions. The banter between the protagonists is a fun to read for the readers The writing is simple and easy to read. The other characters have a plenty of files to make the narrative engaging. I recommend the book to all.

Jhanavi Mohan is invited to Paris for the engagement of her best friend Mia, but only after reaching the venue does she realize that Mia’s fiancé Parth is the one she already dated in the past and since then Parth had been obsessed with Jhanavi. To escape Parth, Jhanavi kisses a random guy she bumps into, who turns out to be the billionaire playboy Karthik Malhotra.
Karthik to mend his image in the public eye and to acquire the shares he has been eyeing, Jhanavi to avoid Parth, begin fake dating charade. Karthik has only one ambition — to bring the past glory to his grandfather’s Malhotra group’s business and if need be, bring down his father’s Singhania group; marriage and love are out of sight and mind for Karthik.
Will their fake dating lead to Karthik and Jhanavi’s true romance or their misunderstandings break the relationship even before it begins, forms the rest of the story.
This is second book in the Marwah Series, and though I did not read the first book in the series, I did not have trouble understanding the character’s back story. Fake dating and forced marriage are among the favorite tropes of romance genre, throw in few steamy makeout scenes, constant sexual tension between protagonists who are poles apart — and you have a winner at hand.
The story begins with a bang and the sequences between the protagonists, especially in Paris feel straight out of a spicy rom-com. Their interactions, dialogues, how they are besotted by each other inspite of the contrasting personalities coupled with high paced narration keeps the reader spell bound.
However, the second half is where the story starts losing track as the twists though unexpected, lack logic. Even the climax has such suspense elements that cannot be guessed by the reader, however, it feels too superficial. Karthik is the best written character, carrying a sense of mystery all through, as he behaves in the most unexpected manner. Jhanavi’s character begins with promise but the author falters in the second half in taking forward her character.
Inspite of the shortcomings in the second half, the story is a perfect entertainer. If you like angsty romances, then this book is a perfect pick for you.

The newest release from your favorite author is always a treat. I treated myself with many beautiful reads over the past few months. Meenu's latest release is one of them. And oh boy, it was so good, I could keep myself from knocking her inbox and venting out my excitement in between reading.
Karthik had me intrigued since meenu introduced him in the first book. He was that wounded soul, who believes the world is nothing but evil, so ruin it as best as you can. He was a morally gray (my favorite trait) hero with a penchant for challenges. He only had one motto in life which was, destroying his father.
Jahnavi Mohan, strong yet kind and generous to the bones. She was the perfect muse for our soulless devil. She was determined and passionate for her work and the people who she loved. She could do anything to save her loved ones, so when her stepfather threatened to marry her younger sister in exchange for a business deal, Jahnavi stepped up and took the blow.
Jahnavi and Karthik shared scorching chemistry and a phenomenal emotional establishment as they trudged through the rocky journey of marriage.
I devoured this book in a matter of a few hours. A literal and easiest five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐of last year's reads. Meenu never disappoints. She is one of those authors who could never dissatisfy you with whatever they deliver.

On the other hand the male lead Karthik has a rough relationship with his own father Mr. Raj Singhania, who is hell bent on having Karthik onboard to the Singhania family business. But Karthik has a deep hatred for his own father.
One thing leads to another wherein Karthik and Jhanavi start off with a fake relationship but will true love bloom between them? Will destiny bring them together or is it somebody else’s business ploy to play with their relationship? Why does Karthik hate his own father? Does Jhanavi fall in her step father’s trap?
