As the title says he is bound to her by her ring and as the book unfolded I not only learned the significance of the ring but also that without the ring more than just a marriage is lost.

The book was in short about Jasmine who finds herself with amnesia after surviving a nasty car accident, the only link she has to the last few months of her life before the accident is a set of gorgeously crafted rings on her left hand, and more questions than answers of who the man is she called her husband.

While attending a party one evening she comes face to face with the man who placed those rings there and suddenly her memory starts returning in flashbacks and it seems that Luciano is the key to her unlocking her full past. Now as much as she is set on regaining her memory Luciano has other plans of the more life destroying kind, he wants revenge and when he finally gets it, he will walk away leaving her as empty as she did him all those months ago.

The main characters of the book were well written and both had their own uniqueness, Jasmine being the woman who finally learns to stand up for herself and Luciano finally learning that control is not always the best option. I also really loved the different kind of person Luciano is every now and then , going from strong and commanding to passionate and caring, that kept me entertained. I particularly loved the manner the author used to layer back their secrets for me as reader. She kept me guessing all the way to the end as to just what really happened to tear these two apart when they clearly loved each other so much.

I was transported back between happier times for the couple and the here and now in fluent motion, which was important as when a book goes from past to future in a non flowing motion it lets me loose interest, as if I want to tell the author " Are you trying to make this as uninteresting as possible", however this author met my expectations and bounced from memory to current situations effortlessly.

The backdrop of Broome was perfect as it not only kept me at a relaxed page while reading with the vivid descriptions the author used to describe the island and it's tranquillity, but it also mixed in beautifully with the turmoiled emotions that both characters were going through and therefore the calm vs the storm was beautifully combined.

The dialogue was in tune with the story, going from a flirty to emotional and then from secretive to soul baring. And at the end of the day I can honestly say I enjoyed this read very much. It was heated romance combined with cold hearted revenge being brought to a explosive bang by a onslaught of memories and a punchline that left me with sadness and sorrow but also understanding and a large dose of happiness for the characters.

If your thinking that these two effortlessly and oh so smoothly fall back into bed together after being separated you would be wrong as the author put a lot more effort into it and surely but slowly lets the secrets, memories and love unfold unlike some books that deal with amnesia and lovers, they go from not remembering to jumping into bed and then going "Well that's OK I will remember later". This author took her time but not a dragging manner, as I said before I was kept on my toes and really entertained and intrigued at all time.

The title of the book was incorporated into book with absolutely stunning exquisiteness, which I found simply awesome!

Excellent work Nicole, keep them coming!

This is a classic reunion story with an Italian alpha male and the woman he believes betrayed him. Jasmine has been lost for months, amnesia after a car accident wiping her memory of the previous months.

When Luciano returns to wield the power of his billion dollar corporation to take control, she doesn't quite know what to think of this aggressive stranger.

Forced into his company, the physical attraction she feels undermines her determination to resist his domination. As they get to know each other again, everything begins to change.

The story started a little slow for me, the heroine not quite adding up considering her amnesia, her previous relationship with her controlling father and the ambivalence of her feelings towards Luciano.

Once it got into it's stride however, it totally enthralled me. The hero and heroine are well matched and engaging and the story had the prerequisite moment that got the tear ducts active.

Altogether an enjoyable, stress free read with a very satisfying ending.

Full review in my vlog on Saturday :)

Oh *sigh* Bound By Her Ring is everything I love about a Harlequin novel. It's deeply romantic. There's drama and heat and heart. The hero and heroine are well drawn and I cared about them so much my heart was tight for part of the story, grieving for the pain Lukas and Jasmine were going through.

I loved seeing them open their hearts up to possibilities and rediscover their love.
I recommend you pick up Bound By Her Ring if you want to be swept off your feet into beautiful story of lovers reconnected.

I purchased this book after seeing Desere's review and I am glad I did.

Luciano is ready to deal Revenge on his estranged wife for doing the unthinkable. The only problem is she has no idea who he is. A few months before the party where Luciano comes face to face with his wife Jasmine. She leaves him to travel to see her father. After leaving she has an accident and loses her memory. She has no memory of going to see her father or her husband. She was given her rings when she was leaving the hospital and feels as though a missing part has been put back into place when she sides them back on, but she still cannot remember her husband.

At the party she sees Luciano across the room and can't take her eyes off on him. When he first confronts her and she tells him she doesn't know him he believes she is faking it. He tells her she will travel with him or he will ruin her father, and she believes him. He also tells her they will be sharing a bed. The night she meets him she has a flash of memory. She leaves with him to travel to Broome. Soon passion takes over. It feels right being in his arms. And the more time they spend together the more memories return.

The author writes a really good novel about a love that is strong. And things that happened after the accident to cause a riff between the two. When Jasmine finally gets her full memory back, it is just heartbreaking. I was worried what was going to happen to her. Hated that Jasmine was alone when this happened. The betrayal, the lost, the trust of a love one. WOW. Really good story and was without a doubt worth the .99 cent cost.

BOUND BY HER RING by author Nicole Flockton was a February 2013 release from Escape Publisher, a division of Harlequin Enterprises, Australia.

This story had all the important elements consisting of amnesia, reunion and a big dollop of revenge adding to the tension. The sensuality in the love scenes were sizzling.

Readers get a fantabulous romance story with an alpha hero and a strong, fiesty heroine in a full length novel for less than what novels cost!

Highly recommended and well worth reading.

Bound By Her Ring by Nicole Flockton is my kind of book!

Jasmine is recovering from amnesia when she's confronted by Luciano who claims to be her husband. She doesn't remember Luciano but has memories of a "Lukas". Jasmine feels like she's being slowly woken from her internal nightmares when she's with Lukas. Memories start returning and nothing makes sense; she feels longing for Lukas but has a complete mind blank as to how and why. Her memory is patchy but small things trigger recollections. Each flashback not only fanned the flames but keep the questions coming, some of which Lukas refuses to answer. Jasmine is determined to find out her history and is frustrated when Lukas or her father won't assist in recovering her memories.

Lukas is driven by revenge and deep hurt when he reappears in Jasmines life. H blackmails Jasmine to accompany him on a business trip. He wants to lash out at the world for past hurts which are fed to the reader drop by glorious drop but his overall qualities shine thru. Things don't go to plan when Lukas quickly realises he physically feels the same way about Jasmine as he did prior to her accident which in turn makes him question how he feels inside. The new Jasmine is an enigma to Lukas; things just don't add up. After spending time together it's hard for Lukas to remember his desire for revenge. He clearly loves Jasmine and knows he's in trouble when reaches the conclusion he wants to protect Jasmine and not let her find out her past actions.

I adored Bound By Her Ring because I love second chance stories. I enjoyed the passionate and emotional ride I was taken on with Lukas and Jasmine. Their love for each other shone thru. The memory sequences are first-class. As each piece of the puzzle clicked into place I could understand Lukas's feelings and my heart just dropped when Jasmine recovered her full memory. I want to start over and read the book again... not later, now!

I impatiently wait for Nicole Flockton's 3rd book!

Jasmine Anderson has no memories of her husband or anything that has occurred in the months prior to her car accident. She is suffering from amnesia and her only clues are the stunning engagement and wedding ring set she wears, even though she cannot remember the man who put them there. All she knows is he hasn’t been around since her accident. There has been no sign of him – until he erupts into her life at a function and demands she accompany him on a business trip or he will financially ruin her father.

Luciano Morelli is looking for revenge on the wife that not only ran away, but did something unspeakable. He’s not buying the amnesia storyline either and hes determined to crack the marvellous display of acting skills that Jasmine is treating him to. He knows she has no choice but to accompany him and he’s going to use that to get to the bottom of what she did.

But neither Luciano or Jasmine are prepared for the passion that still exists between them. It makes it very hard for Luciano to keep his goal for revenge in his mind and it makes it hard for Jasmine to hate the man who is using his financial position to coax her into doing what he wants. There’s no denying the way she feels when she’s with him and the fact that he’s making little snippets of information return to her. The more time she spends with him, the more she believes that she’ll be able to fully regain the missing pieces of her memory. If they can get past the shattered trust, they might be able to find the happiness that led them down the aisle in the first place.

I love amnesia stories! They cop a lot of flack but they’ve always been a favourite of mine when they’re done well. I’m always drawn to buying an amnesia story and I was looking forward to this one.

Jasmine was in a car accident and she has no memory of ever marrying or her husband. All she has are her two rings which keep her anchored. She knows that they feel right when she puts them on, but she doesn’t remember anything about how they got there. When she is accosted by Luciano, who informs her that he is her husband, she somewhat refuses to believe him. Luciano refuses to believe that she has amnesia so the two of them are at odds. Luciano is determined to punish Jasmine for a cruel act she believes she commited – Jasmine has no recollection of ever meeting him, so she has no idea what motivates his behaviour. Luciano thinks that Jasmine is acting to get out of having to face him for what she did – he’s furious with her and he’s high handed and bossy and manipulative. He demands she go with him on a business trip that turns out to be mostly pleasure. Jasmine begins to feel that Luciano is the key to her memory returning – when she’s with him she has flashes, she thinks without speaking and things come to her. The link between them is so powerful she cannot deny it, despite the fact that she has disliked his high handed attitude.

Luciano is perhaps a bit too Alpha for me, there were times when I wanted to reach into my kindle and give him a good slap. But I do like the way that he was portrayed as struggling between a desire for revenge over something that had so wounded him, but also still drawn to Jasmine and the way that their marriage had been before the accident. Although he pushes her, infuriates her, he never actually uses what happened against her. He doesn’t believe her amnesia to be real at first, so I’m surprised he never actually came outright and played his hand. But when he does become convinced, he leaves her to piece together things herself, finally getting to the crux of the horrible event that caused her to suppress all her memories of Luciano. Despite my frustration with Luciano, I appreciated the fact that he never went too below the belt in his attempts for revenge, or understanding. I am however, surprised that he didn’t figure out what had happened a little earlier, given the fact that he’s a smart guy and he already knew several key pieces to help him put things together.

I do think that Jasmine was a very forgiving character – she was very easily persuaded/manipulated by Luciano more than once and she was able to forgive him for all he said and did and she was able to forgive a character who wronged her beyond belief later on in the novel. I would’ve liked to see her stand up for herself a little more and assert herself, especially towards the end of the book. It felt a bit rushed and like it was glossed over quite quickly.

I think people like romance novels with dominant, take charge heroes will like this one. But if you find yourself getting mad at characters who are too arrogant and domineering, or heroines who are too doormattish then this one might not be the best choice. There’s no room for sensitive new age guys with Luciano.

Jasmine anderson was in the car accident and lost her memories. But the wedding ring that returned to her told her that she has been married. But to whom...?. she only lost that part of memory. Weeks past and her husband never showed up, She gave up questioning about her husband.

Jasmine never expected to find her husband at her father's opening gala for the hotel.
Not that she could remembered him but Luciano Morelli announced himself as the man who put a ring on her finger. She mustn't be convinced by that, but somehow she knew that she knew him.

Luciano promised himself that he wouldn't fell for her again. When she told him that she lost her memory about their marriage, he denied to believe. Luciano threaten her to join in his business trip. He wanted to see the crack in her innocent mask. And after the terrible thing she did to him, this was the time he would revenged.

" I look at you and I'm home " -finding nemo

4.5 awesome stars

Actually I was craved for the storyline with amnesia for a while but didn't find one that match.
OK I knew that a lot of book had amnesia as storyline. But after reading blurb after blurb I never found one that ignited my interest until this. And this book didn't let me down.

First of all, I must said that I love the cover. I thought this was beautiful and captured my interest instantly. and when I read the first page, I was captured by this book instantly.
This book was flowed in the smooth pace, not too slow and not too fast.
And reveal little by little about the secret the character's hold.

I fell in love with the characters. I love Luc & Jasmine. Their chemistry was obvious deep and powerful. Even with lost of memories.

" what was it about him that made her almost melt? all he had to do was look at her and she lost control of such a simple task as walking "

Their personality was loveable. Jasmine was gentle and understanding, smart and dedicated.
She knew what to do in every situation and I found myself never once question her choice. She was the best match for Luc. Luciano was arrogant and success as a billionaire. He controlled everything and planed everything beforehand. But one thing he never planned was to fell for her.He fell for her hard. and in this book we would see he struggled to resist this love but that was never success.

He loved Jasmine. Loved her with his whole soul. He'd loved her from the moment when he'd walked into that Anderson's hotel. From the moment she'd looked up from the reception desk with a welcoming smile on her face. That was all it had taken, one smile and he was lost.

Jasmine's father seem to be most cruel person of all people. Many parent in novel just didn't love their child. But he wasn't one of them. And I love that, I really hate to know that parent didn't love their child.

This book was sweet, lovely and romantic. I was smile widely when reading this book.
I wished this would be longer. I wanted more of this, the joyful time with Luc & Jasmine : ).

This is awesome : )

Bound by Her Ring was an amazing story about love and second chances. It was heartfelt, compelling, and certainly a sensual read that will leave you breathless. This story was a beautiful tale about two lovers reconnecting again after months of separation from lies, betrayal, pain, loss, and other complications.

The characters were charismatic capturing my absolute attention and the story itself had me engrossed until the very end. Bound by Her Ring was a lovely read reflecting the power of love and forgiveness. I loved Bound by Her Ring and it goes without saying that this is an absolute must read. Pick up this book or put this book on your To Be Read list this instant. You won't be disappointed.

I have so many issues with this book, I do not know where to start.

Jasmine was in a car accident and has amnesia. She has lost all memory of the last year of her life. She knows she is married because there are rings in her fingers but she does not know to whom. And no one know either, or they won't tell her. Lukas is the idiot she is married to and over some imagined slight is seeking revenge. He comes back to reclaim his wife and get revenge or something or other.

I love amnesia stories but this one sucked. There are many issues and plot holes in the story, coupled with cardboard characters and an annoying male protagonist.

Let's start with the issues in the timeline. Even after finishing the book, I have no idea how long it has been since Jasmine was in the car accident, how long she was in the hospital or anything. At certain points of the story she says it has been weeks and others months. There is no clear answer.

The next issue is Jasmine. She was a doormat who did everything the males in her life told her to do. She has no backbone and the entirety of the book I wanted to tell her to stand up to one of the idiots. When Lukas, her alleged husband, mandates that she go on a trip to somewhere with her, she does just that. Who goes on a trip with someone that claims to be your husband without actually verifying if this is in fact correct? He can be a serial killer, could have been abusive, etc.... This part is completely unbelievable.

The inconsistencies in this book keep piling up. At one point Lukas ponders that "... he'd know she was faking her amnesia. And if she was faking it then she was a remarkable actress, she'd fooled many of her friends with her memory loss." How does he know? We get an entire paragraph a few pages prior as to how she questioned her friends and no one knew who she was dating. Yet, he knows what her friends think? This book had more holes than a colander.

Issue: Lukas. He behaves like the alpha of all alphas mandating and dictating. I would have left. Half of the things he accuses her off do not even make sense. He can't see past his Alpha male pride to think rationally. The thing he is seeking revenge for could have been fixed with a nice Q&A of like 5 minutes and a visit to the doctor.

And then, as if Lukas' jackass behavior wasn't enough, he goes ahead and blames her for getting amnesia. Yep, it was her fault she got amnesia, never mind she hit her head and went through a traumatic event. If she had just loved him enough, she would have remembered. -_- No words...

The book was not enjoyable. I was not rooting for these too. I thought Jasmine was way too good for Lukas and was hoping she'd grow a backbone and hit him over the head with a heavy book. Let's see if he gets amnesia. The book has to many plot holes, characters that are too stocky and uni-dimensional. Pass.

Someone tell me why it has taken me so long to read a book from Nicole Flockton (minus a shorter one I read in a box set)? I have been missing out this whole time! Never again. Woman is on my favorite author list from now on.

In Bound By Her Ring we start with Luciano, who is not happy with his wife Jasmine, at a celebration. I could feel his anger through the words. Then he saw Jasmine and all the old emotions come back even as he tries to stay focused on his plan for revenge. There was this intense power in Luciano that came through so clearly through the pages.

As he confronts Jasmine for the first time since her accident, she has no idea who he is. She knows she is married, it’s obvious from the wedding band but she has no memories of the wedding, of the man she married. You put these rings on my finger? Ok. Exactly who are you again?

The story continues as Luciano let’s Jasmine know that she will be going on this business trip with him, whether she wants to or not. She really has no choice. She’s backed into a corner. Go or watch her father’s world collapse.

The chemistry between these two was strong right from the beginning, before Jasmine even knew who he was really. Both characters were amazing. Jasmine in her own strength as she is trying to remember who her and Luciano were together and Luciano as we see him become a bit gentler as time goes by. I loved both characters so much.

This is one of those books that sweeps you off your feet as you navigate through the memories of the past and the moments of today. You are pulled in to this couple’s world, wanting so badly for Jasmine to remember because as time is going by you see how perfect these two are for each other. I read this until very very late last night when I realized that the alarm was going to go off in 4 hours for me to get children off to school. I started it as soon as I woke up, reading the rest of it in between making coffee, doing little girls’ hair, rushing the teenager out the door, and begging the youngest to brush his teeth. I didn’t want to put it down at all. It was such a wonderful read!

I am now reading Bound By His Desire and it is proving to be just as amazing as Bound By Her Ring was. I am going to be following Nicole Flockton from now on.

Thank you so much for sending me a copy of Bound By Her Ring to read! I loved it! 5 stars!

Bound by Her Ring. Nicole Flockton.
I try to choose carefully which books I request but I’m human – sometimes I get it wrong, and select a book that other readers may well love but which just doesn't work for me. Sadly this book was one such novel :( I'll write why it didn't work for me – it could be exactly what you want – fortunately everyone looks for different things and what doesn't appeal to me may be just what someone else is looking for :)
So, why didn't it work? Well, I love a romance and from the description this sounded perfect, but I need drama in my reading, lots of soaring highs and plummeting lows. I need a novel to be like a race along a winding, hilly, road up a mountainside, moments when your heart is in your mouth and you're struggling to breathe, when you look at the drop down the side and it terrifies you, where you wonder if you're doing the right thing taking this risk, but when you get there the view from the top is perfect, and makes it all worthwhile. What this novel is though is a sedate amble along a 10 MPH driveway, with a few very gentle speed bumps, so carefully placed you barely feel them. That about it – the story and writing is fine, very sweet but just not enough drama to hold my interest. There were times when I wanted to say to both Luciano and Jasmine “come on- really? Is that the best you can come up with?” as their actions and conversations stretched my credulity....
Still, maybe you want that gentle, easy to read, romance. This may be just your sort of read – it just isn't mine. It's priced at £1.89 for 152 pages.
ARC supplied via Netgalley.
Stars: two – just not my sort of read but that personal taste not reflection of book quality.

Jasmine Anderson is recovering from amnesia after a car accident. The only link she has to her missing memories are her wedding rings. When she sees Luciano Morelli across a crowded room at a business function for her father's company, she feels an instant connection.

Luciano wants revenge on his estranged wife. He'll make her fall for him again and then dump her like he thinks she did to him and hopefully hurt her the same way. He threatens to destroy her father's company if she doesn't accompany him on a trip, but he didn't plan on falling for Jasmine all over again. He's torn between believing she really does have amnesia and thinking she's just a great actress.

I really liked these two characters. Jasmine was sweet, gentle and smart. She did her best with what she had and was totally lovable. Luciano was a hard man at times, but he was also reacting to information he'd been given by Jasmine's father, not necessarily the truth. Because I knew what motivated his reactions I could still like him. The 'real' Luciano was loving and protective. Overall, this was a wonderful, heart-wrenching read.

I seriously fussed at the author about 30% into this book. Luciano Morelli was such a butthead jerk! For crying out loud, the chick he met and had a whirl wind beach wedding with a year ago didn't even remember him! Jasmine Anderson had a nasty car wreck that knocked out her last year's memories. To make things worse, her overbearing, controlling father has mucked up much more than his relationship with Jasmine. The first part of the book takes place with Mr. Morelli out like a shark to get revenge on his soon to be ex-wife during a mandatory business trip they take. I took Nicole's promise it got better.

Oh-la-la, the romance and good man I wanted appeared! Romance readers can easily dive into this lovely story by Mrs. Focton and get family drama-rama, the rediscovery of lost love, and the beauty of past mistakes and their futures.

I had a good mix of emotions reading the book, which is the whole point of romance, right? Writing flowed well and the characters had their past and present spoken into the story by their individual voices. Good read, folks!

Jasmine has amnesia all she knows from the time she has forgotten is that she is married and she only knows that because she has rings on after her accident. So when she sees Luciano she is surprised by the sparks and that he knows her from her time she has forgotten. Luciano wants revenge Jasmine left and did something unforgivable. But when he see's Jasmine again he can't deny that she still affects him, and her act of amnesia is flawless. So he forces her to come on a trip with him by threatening her fathers business so he can make her pay but the more time they spend together the more it seems he may be wrong. The more time Jasmine spends with Luciano the more she begins to remember till the truth finally breaks free. This was an ok read But I just had a hard time really connecting with Jasmine and Luciano.

So it was a chick-lit through and through, but I liked it. The story was short, but full of depth.

Luciano is out for revenge to his estranged wife. Jasmine is lost in translation as to who is her husband. He remembers everything vividly, and she remembers nothing about him, or them. He's out to hurt her, she's innocently breaking his resolve.

In a way, their story reminds me of Opposites Attract wherein the relationship is strained because of the meddling of family members, but I liked this more because of the whole pacing.

I loved their confrontation, the whole fall-out. Not because I don't like them together, but because it became a big turning point for them. The title really encompassed the whole story.

That epilogue, <3

I tend to avoid amnesia stories but I am glad I read this. The heroine was rightfully confused but never annoying and the suffering Luciano is going through felt very real.

I fell in love with both characters and the true love they had for each other! A truly memorable read :)

This is the Bound by the Billionaire's Desire trilogy. Luciano is out for revenge on the woman who married him and dumped him in short order. He doesn't believe the story that she was in a car accident that left her with short term amnesia. He's got a detailed plan to make her pay...until he runs into her again and remembers why he fell in love with her in the first place.

OMG, how much did I love this trilogy? Luciano aka Lucas is one of my favorite book heroes. I'm rooting for him even when he's wrong. LOL. Great chemistry between the characters. This is interesting in that it's a twist on meet cute in that, when they meet, they're already married. (And the meet isn't at all cute)

Nicole welcomes you to the city of Perth in this intense novel of rekindling a whirlwind romance and marriage that was lost due to amnesia. Jasmine has lost any memory she has of the previous few months, yet she continues to wear her rings because their mere existence calms the uncertain storm of emotion that is raging inside her. Luciano (Lukas to Jasmine) has other intentions when he begins to seduce his WIFE again by having her escort him on a business trip to the city of Broome: Crush her like she did him when he found out the news.
"She won't be my wife for much longer and I'd appreciate you not interfering with my personal life."
Cupid had different plans for these two. Lukas couldn't help but fall in love with his wife all over again while Jasmine couldn't pinpoint why she was instantly drawn to him. Lukas was a source of comfort, love and joy to Jasmine, she just wished she could remember how they got to this point. I must side with Jasmine in her frustration of everyone "leaving her to find her memory out for her own." I would be Googling myself or something. :)
There was this one moment in all their rekindling that just stood out to me. He presented his wife with a gift during breakfast and the playful banter that ensued gave me hope for the two.
"You can rip it open you know," his dry tone telling her he was impatient for her to reveal his surprise.
"I like to savour the moment, draw it out for as long as possible."
"To torment the gift giver?"
She smiled cheekily over at him. "When the gift giver is you, yes."
The road to love in this book was not an easy one. As her memory revealed itself, both Lukas and Jasmine were hurt again. Would their love be enough to move forward and start a new life together? Jasmine and Lukas both had demons in their past, and with a very persistent father not wanting this marriage to exist - this trip to HEA would be anything but smooth sailing.
Details about the plot? NOT from this reviewer. But, here are a few things you will get from me:
Nicole writes a wonderful story of second chance at a first love, and does it with such raw, real and intense characters. You do get your HEA, but not without a few well placed bumps.
Nicole is from Australia, and I have decided that I adore reading books by authors from other countries - the language and terminology is different, and I like to learn new words and phrases.
And finally - you have another book after this to look forward to, Bound By His Desire. (This one stars Nick, Lukas' business partner and this means I am sure we will get to catch up with our favorite Italian Stallion, Luc and his wife, Jasmine.)
Before I leave you to go and pick up this great romantic read by the uber awesome Aussie, Nicole, I want to leave you with my FAVORITE quote from this book. I adore grand gestures and this is why I find myself drawn to romances. Every girl needs John Cusack to stand outside of her window with a boombox on his shoulder confessing his love to her. And now that I have revealed my inner nerd to you, I must confess the one thing that can give a good romantic grand gesture a run for it's money, in my opinion, is a good NERDY conversation.
"Where is Doctor Who with his Tardis?" she muttered.
"Probably morphing between one realm and another. We don't need him, Darryl is an excellent pilot. I only employ the best."

How do you NOT fall in love with Luciano right at the mere mention of morphing between realms? :)

Bound by Her Ring was both a sensual and emotional read about second chances, forgiveness, and how outside influences can easily shred the love and trust between two people newly in love.

I really liked the plot - a whirlwind romance, a tropical setting, a marriage, and then everything fell apart. I loved Jasmine and Lukas as a couple. Despite his agenda to get revenge for something she'd supposedly done, and Jasmine's memory loss, this couple had a sizzling chemistry, and they were both very likeable. Lukas could have easily been pegged as being a complete jerk, but his mask of indifference slipped too often and exposed his vulnerability at his core. Apparently, he had been lying to himself that he was capable of doing anything that would hurt her. Jasmine was confident, outspoken, and definitely not the meek woman that Lukas remembered. I liked that she sort of reinvented herself. There were many great moments where she was was portrayed as his equal; something he had no difficulty embracing. This billionaire CEO had found a woman who shared his strong business sense, and that was so refreshing.

The story flowed and had a nice steady pacing. The "secret" was delivered in slow doses that worked very well with the struggle these two characters had to deal with; causing him to wonder if he could be wrong and causing her to question what she'd been told versus what she was feeling. While Lukas was convinced that her amnesia was just an act, his ideas of trying to get her to slip up showed off his romantic side. I truly believed, despite his thoughts to the contrary, that he loved her. The scenarios he set up gave them opportunities to see one another in a different light while jogging her memories. Of course their time together wasn't all flowers and chocolates. Jasmine spent a lot of time being on the defensive. As the reader, being privy to the truth that eluded Lukas, a lot of her reactions were heartbreaking (yes, I reached for tissues a few times).

The couple of love scenes weren't graphic, nor did they detract from the story. They didn't feel thrown in to fill time and space. The story's climax really had me bawling and hurting for both of them. I loved that the title of this book played a huge role in highlighting the scope of their feelings and depth of their relationship, as evidenced in one particular scene.

This new-to-me author has definitely gained a new fan, and I can't wait for the books of the side characters. I definitely recommend this book if you're a romantic sap like me.

Her mouth curved sardonically and her eyes darted from the stewardess to the bedroom, wondering if her job description included providing Luciano with some form of distraction on long flights.

“I wouldn’t go there if I were you.” His tone so quiet it took a moment for her to make out exactly what he’d said.

“Go where?”

“You know where, Jasmine. Your face is giving your thoughts away.”

Her fingers of her right hand went to the rings on her left. Jasmine cradled them for a moment before twisting them off. With each millimetre of flesh exposed by the removal of her rings, her heart broke into tiny pieces.

*sob*

I have read Miss Nicole Flockton before, and I can say I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to review Bound by Her Ring as well. I can say that reading Miss Flockton's work is always a pleasant experience. The characters are well-developed, the story line doesn't lack anything, and it has a real life like experience that readers can relate to in one way or another. Miss Flockton did a wonderful job on this novel, and I must say that this was a great read. I enjoyed the conflict that occurred throughout the novel with Jasmine, and Luciano - the two main characters the story focuses on.

Jasmine Anderson just wants to remember. The ring on her finger indicates that there is a special someone in her life, but the lack of his presence has her questioning a lot of events in her life leading up to the beginning of the novel. At an opening night for her father's new business, she lingers, lost in the crows alone, as she attempts to make herself welcome back into the life she once knew. That is until a strange man appears by her side, and makes it seem as if they've known each other their entire life. That man is none other than Luciano Morelli - the man who wants nothing more than to destroy her life, as well as her fathers.

What he doesn't put into perspective in his devious plan, is the passion that seems to still exist between them. Jasmine knows that this man is trouble; she can feel it in his presence when he makes himself known. She can feel the thick ice like air that surrounds her father, and this mysterious man whenever they are in close proximity to one another. This part of the novel moved quickly, which was a nice relieve - it was too good to drag out!

I liked the whole back and forth of the memories. It wasn't too difficult to tell when a memory from the past popped up, and most of the novel was present day memories of Jasmine's. The trust that was once shattered plays a part throughout the entire novel as Jasmine and Luciano fight to overcome the passion that they continue to encounter. There is not a moment that makes the reader feel bored, or as if the story line isn't going anywhere. Again, a great read that will have you zipping through the pages, and have you asking many questions.

I don't want to give too much more away - if you want a novel that has enough angst that keeps the entire novel moving along, and have characters that are well developed with real world problems, this is the novel for you!
