Premise: basically these are light-hearted slice-of-life stories and lot and lot of silliness by different artists.

(1) There are some short stories about Kyoka and they are focusing on her cuteness. I like it.

(2) Many of the artists have cute artwork too!

(3) Kunikida being a complete housewife in a supermarket warfare. 😊

And Kunikida looks so handsome in his chapter.

(4) The long-suffering Chuuya in his chibi form again 😊

(5) I kinda like The Guild's scenes and Louisa May Alcott's short story!

I also ordered vol. 3!

I saw this anthology being sold when I was first getting into the bungo spin-offs (beast, the other one... *mind blanking on the name* 0.0) on Tokyo Otaku Mode like 2 million years ago, and resisted the urge to buy it because I cannot read Japanese.

(still can't... fully... we're working on it. now I'm post grad with carpal tunnel so I do have more time to devote to language learning at least!)

When I saw it in the library like a week or two ago translated in English I think my heart exploded for a little bit, then I read it and it was! very cool!!!!

In all seriousness, though, it was really fun to read an official fancomic anthology after being in the much more unofficial manga/anime/capcomgame fanworks community that exists in the United States for so long.

Made me think about creating fan works that actually communicate with the author of the original work more often. Definitely something I'm interested in getting into in the future, but this little creep (me :3) has only been in a single limited entry zine so far so we shall see.

Cute anthology, my fav is probably the one about Karl (I also want to have a pet raccoon I love them so much)

I love to see snippets of the sibling dynamic between Atsushi & Kyouka, my heart 🥹

Akutagawa with that dog was silly

These were all so cute & fun. 🥺 The recurring bit of Naomi and Yosano fighting over dressing up Kyouka was adorable and the story that feeds directly into the "Dazai is bi" agenda really made it for me (minus that same author involving the weirdo siblings and saying how much they love them 🤮).

Though I do think it's wild how basically none of them in here got to write their favorite characters and instead just drew them for their last page.😔

Was a lot of fun to read. It is interesting how the author was fine with a book made of fan made stories. It is a fun collection of more Bungo Stray Dogs

I loved the various short stories. They were fun, and I wish some were longer and that we'd get more snippets of daily life.
