As from what can be expected by an answer key, this book isn't too bad. It goes into some detail about the solutions many of the problems. It's helpful for studying organic chemistry.

i wouldn't say i love this book, but i feel like we've developed a special relationship. i wake in the morning and it's the first thing i read...in addition to the last thing i peruse before going to sleep at night. it is the only book in my life currently.

relatively simple in its explanation, it does a better job than most textbooks communicating concepts.

i won't miss it though when i can finally shelve it.

This is probably the best solutions manual I have ever used. Each chapter starts with an outline summary of the corresponding chapter from the textbook, which I find very helpful when studying for a test. All of the problems from the book are worked, and most of the solutions are explained thoroughly. This is an essential companion if you are studying organic chemistry from McMurry's text.

(Oh, and this solutions manual is written by Susan McMurry, not John, as this listing says.)
