*This is a combination of all four full length novels in the Love series* This series is my first. A lot has changed in my writing style since the Love series. It’s very interesting to me to see that growth. I hope you follow along on my journey. In Blue Love a New Adult / College, Coming of Age story Tessa Ross tries to fight her attraction to bad boy Lucas Links. He is hot, arrogant, and has a sexual past that most boys his age could only dream of, (If they even knew they could dream of such things). Lucas, the star quarterback seems to have it all, super star athletic abilities, expensive clothes, cars, and women who literally stop just to watch him walk by. On the outside he appears to have it all. Tessa is a young woman who lives her life always doing what is right to make everyone else happy. She tries desperately to hold herself accountable to the demanding expectations of her family and everyone around her. Is Tessa as innocent as she appears? Is Lucas just a spoiled young man who seems to have what every male, and female wants? If you Love an emotional story that is full of spicy hot goodness. If you Love to follow a story from beginning until the bitter sweet end. If you are often left wondering what happened next... get your tissues and lip balm ready you are in for the read of your life. As we all know, you should never judge a book by it's cover. In book two of the "Love" series, Tessa and Lucas have decided it best to be friends. But is it possible when they share a love as deep as theirs? Follow Luke as he tries to be the man he realized he wanted to become when he fell in love with Tessa. Follow Tessa as tries to stay strong for herself and Lucas through loss, life, and new love. In Sad Love book three in the "Love" series. Love had not been easy for Tessa Ross and Lucas Links. In book three of MJ Fields Love series we follow Tessa and Luke through there college years. Will they get back together or is enough finally enough? In True Love, book four of the Love Series,Tessa Ross has finally decided to give herself a break. A break from her forced smiles and the people she loved so that her heart could continue to heal. She needed to continue to figure out a way to stay strong which meant putting distance between her memories and of her and Lucas. Tessa returns to her families house in Cape Code a place that she always loved.
MJ Fields is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance novels. She lives in New York with her daughter Miss A, smoochie faced Newfie, Theo and the newest member to the 'fields crew, rescue diva / holy terror Eleanor. When she’s not locked away in the cave, she enjoys doing home improvement projects, spending time with her family, attending live music and sporting events, the theatre, singing off key, dancing to her own beat, listening to audio books, and reading of course.
BLUE LOVE: Jesus Christ (i apology if you go to church but dammit this book effs with your emotions.) The beginning of the book I liked girl meets boy, boy tries to impress her, "you're not used to this kind of attention are you?" he said trying to hide his smile, "You need to get used to it Tessa. I'm going to be watching you." Lucas is also a jealous little s*** and honestly I'm not sure why with all the crap he puts Tessa through my God I wanted to chop his nuts off half the time and Tessa just forgives him likes it's not a big deal, "what? Tessa, why are YOU acting like that? I'm the one who came here to be with you and you're the one hugging some guy right in front of me," he said through his teeth. "That's not how I want MY girlfriend to act." Yea well you shouldn't throw rocks at glass houses you a**. And of course there were some times I didn't want to chop his nuts off but there were hardly enough of those moments for me to actually like him, "do don't be sorry, baby; I love how curious you are. But it makes me want to do naughty things to you." No comment for that one. And of course when Tessa is pi**ed the girl says hurtful things and I'm screaming, YOU GO GIRL! "Oh I'm SO sorry. Maybe you can go with me tonight so you can watch me give a blow job Lucas," she said raising her voice, "Maybe I can see if he will kick your a** after I screw him." And then he has balls to make comments like, "would you be offended if I pi**ed on your leg, mark you as mine." EFF YEA I'D BE OFFENDED you a**. The next book better hurry up and get here because after reading this I realized Lucas isn't worth the time or space and the air he breathes.
NEW LOVE: I had to mentally brace myself for this bookie because the first one hit me HARD, and it wasn't just the cliffhanger. As we all know Lucas and Tessa's relationship was kinda non-existent by the end of book 1 now it's kind of existent and well not going the way either of them planned, "nope, look last night was fun, I know you're leaving and I know you're going to have a baby, but for just a few minutes," she stopped took a deep breath and swallowed, "I forgot, so my mistake, I'm sorry. I'm not mad and I hope you can forgive." You know Tessa we're seeing a new side of her it's kind of like roles are reversed and it's Lucas's turn to look after and be there as a support person, "that's nice Tessa but what s*** did you do? Did you drink, do pills, or smoke something?" Lucas demanded." Lucas he can be sweet, and just lately he's getting on my nerves it's like the pot calling the kettle black, "Tessa you want to tell him the stuff I'm going through?" Lucas snapped. "How about we tell Ben here what you're actually like?" Then he got back in my good graces, how did he manage that by well not making a big deal over something when mother nature hits Tessa, "Lucas stood and look at all the different types of pads, "Now what the hell do you need wings for and why not these?" he asked picking up a box of tampons." When they're together I love their playfulness, "ok my bad," he put his hand on her a**, "This will look fine in uniform," he rubbed his hand down her butt and grabbed it." I mean Tessa she grows balls in this book and speaks her mind, I love seeing her grow, "you complained, and you got pi**ed at how I sucked your di**? Yes, I'm pi**d that on'es going to be a little hard to get out of my head." This cliffhanger wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be it was something to work with so I was pleased, well still upset that there was a cliffhanger but pleased with the cliffhanger, if that makes any sense at all.
SAD LOVE: Erm...um... I think this installment is the first one that I've really disliked, not the writing itself but more like Lucas. I mean Tessa that girl I'm not sure how the hell she does it, "I forgot it was up to me to make everything better for everyone else, except for me," she said sarcastically." Lucas good grief where in the hell do I start with his a**, this book he had me so freakin' angry and disgusted and his behavior is just unacceptable, but there were times you couldn't help but fall in love with him, "it's all yours you should just take it," he pulled her hand back to where he knew she wanted it." I mean he still has a way to get you hot and bothered, "I want to eff you right here, baby, nail your a** against the wall," Lucas growled in her ear as he pulled her to the opposite side of the pool." Now let's get to the disgusting factors, and I totally don't give two sh**s if his a** was drunk: She threw up and tried to grab a hair tie from the counter and went back to the toilet and bent over and threw up again, she felt something wet on her leg and looked over. He was pi**ing on her leg. "I told you to move," he laughed. She stood up and slapped him, and he continued to laugh. "Just marking my territory." Effing hog! Honestly if his sh** doesn't get worked out I'm hoping she finds someone else and makes Lucas work for it, all he has to do is say 'I'm sorry' well hate to break it to ya but Sorries sometime ain't good enough Lucas ole' boy.
TRUE LOVE: So I know what I wrote about Lucas in the last review but um.. it was kinda weird in the beginning with Collin, but then again come competition never hurt a man. I mean I kinda sorta liked Collin but then again I didn't, "well who the hell else would you a**? I'm so pi**ed at you your lucky I didn't crack you in the head. Collin you're an a**hole, you walk into my house, break into my bathroom while I'm taking a bath, talk to me like I am some pig, and try to intimidate me. You scared me!" And nothing like a little jealousy from Lukey-boy, "so is she banging him now?" Lucas asked pi**ed off." And even though Tess and Lucas still have a lot going on the boy is protective, "he effing killed someone, Tessa. I won't leave you alone with someone like that," Lucas yelled." One I didn't like how this book worked out I kinda want MJ to re-write it. I mean it took me by surprise and this book was originally the first book in the series so if it had been then I would have liked what happened but since it's not I hated what happened.
Oooooof Mexican telenovelas are shook when it comes to the series lol it had every single drama, but it was entertaining hence my rate, I like it.
I have to mention, the series has 6 book in total, but I’m gonna pretend that the last two book doesn’t exist and maybe author just wrote it for the soccer moms team Lucas team cheating asshole team mf that couldn’t wait one day to fuck someone else :-)
As you know, the series is about Tessa and Lucas, two supposed soulmates, but were they really one? Nahhh. So, the series goes from when they were in high school, college, and more. It’s heavy on cheating, like heavy. Tho the aren’t really very descriptive scenes but I can recall 15 ow names so yeppp.
What I liked about the series is that, it just caught you right from the beginning, you can’t stop reading until you finish the book because you want to know more or if anything, you want to know how the hell will this series gonna ends? I kinda skimmed thru a lot of boring scenes because I just wanted to jump into the drama, she me.
Tessawas tough to like, I just kept wanting to scream because honestly? She was so fucking stupid. I said what I said, 15 OWs and she still took him back? Not to mention the ones when they were off like for example this scene when she caught him fucking someone else and then they were off for one day then she does to his house for a freaking forever and Lucas had someone else in the bath lmaoo bye girl. At least in True Love, she ends up with the true Hero Collin ❤️
Lucas, you are a whore and you deserved to be cheated on in the next book I didn’t want to read because why bother? I didn’t care about his sob story. He honestly fucked up Tessa, so freaking bad. He cheats, he breaks her, he goes sob sob and ily’s, he fixes her, he cheats again, he breaks her, in a vicious unhealthy circle. What freaking bothers me is that he didn’t even try to change for Tessa, not even for 5 years but then after she moves on, he reconnects with an ex (that mentioned before to Tess, that that ex was different lol) and he is so in love with that ex, Ashley, and he also gets married, have a baby and all ha ha ha like bitch why going all sob to Tessa, going berserk again Collin and some others when he clearly didn’t want to change his whoring ?? But here it comes Ashley and it’s fixed \o/ jerk, I’m happy you are not happy with your marriage.
Collin the truest Hero of the series. You are much alivie and I’ll recommend you to not read book 5 and 6, because you will find him dead so then Lucas and Tessa can end up together, ha ha ha I told you they are not worth it, not after the whole stuff i just mentioned about Lucas. I really loved Collin, he truly loved Tessa and defended her against Lucas’ when he was taunting him even if Lucas was cheaping Tessa calling her a whore or saying stuff like she learned the tricks from him etc etc, Collin didn’t go into a dic measurement to win against him, he had class at least.
So, i recommend the series if you love a good drama, want to get frustrated, cheating, and a HEA that is not with the cheating Hero.
Safety!
Ow/Om: yes to both. A lot of cheating i can’t even.
Blue Love Lucas is a bad boy. In other words the boy all the good girls want but would never touch. Tess is a country girl. Can she get the bad boy? Loved this story it will make you laugh and cry. All about young love and the ups and downs of it.
New Love Tessa is a very good person but Lucas is not.... He tends to take advantage of her. Tess is very forgiving and makes you want to smack some sense into her. Lucas you just wanted to hit for all the pain he causes. I HATED Lucas by the end of this book. Not sure I will like him ever again...
Sad Love If the last book didn't make you hate Lucas this one will. He needs hit with a brick, a chair, really anything that is handy. MJ knows how to bring a story together to bad I HATE one of her main characters. He really needs to get his crap together. Drunk or not you don't treat you girl like that...
True Love Tessa is with someone new!!! Yay so glad as I wanted to smack Lucas. Colin was a man-whore but wants Tessa and no one else. Will he treat her better then Lucas? Tessa is in love with Colin. Glad that they married and are having twins. But is this the end of Tessa and Lucas or not......
Love You Anyways Okay I have to admit that I HATED Lucas in the first four books of this series but you know what he grew on me during this story. This is 20 years after the last books. You want a true love story then read this book. MJ wraps up this series nicely. By the end I was glad that Lucas and Tessa made it back to each other.
I freaking loved this series!!! MJ Fields is a very talented author! I laughed, cried, got angry, laughed again, then cried a lot! I have never felt so much emotions while reading a book, like I did with this series!~
Best series ever! This story follows Tess, Lucas and their families and friends through heartbreak and love. You will cry, laugh, scream and feel every other emotion you can think of! If you haven't read this you don't know what u are missing!!
I don't have the words to say what this series means to me. You simply fall in love with all of the characters. There's so much more this series than a simple love story. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series!!!!
This series is an amazing emotional rollercoaster love story! Hot & sexy! it will have you crying one minute, smiling the next, then feeling hot & bothered!! A must read for anyone that loves erotic romances!!
What an emotional rollercoaster but I loved them all!! Tessa and Lucas's relationship was tested time and time again, which was true to everyday life! I seriously couldn't get enough of them!
