Stupid book.

There is no way a person would obtain any useful techniques for systems thinking and problem-solving from this book.

I have been involved with systems analysis and systems thinking since 1965. I have been looking for a good book that I can recommend to people who know nothing about systems thinking. This isn't it!

The definition of "systems" used by the author is totally inadequate. It is generalized and abstracted to such a high level that the reader will not be able to recognize a system, determine its boundaries, or identify subsystems.

The operations of communication between subsystems is totally inadequate. Furthermore, there is no mechanism described for analyzing the performance of a system, or of influencing functions to change or modify system behavior.

Lastly, the text is politically biased and not bound to Science: The author's political biases are not up for evaluation and comparison.

I am sorry I wasted my time with this book. Its only good point is that the footnotes and bibliography point to some excellent sources of real information.

Interconnecting. The impact of our life decisions. It’s easy to forget our actions can affect other beings. System thinking goes along with second-order thinking.
