Saria

Rate this book

Interesting idea, where story place in dystopic Venice ruled by church and some variant on n*zi regime. Unfortunately, script would need some polishing, as many things happen haphazardly, without proper introduction or character and world building. That may be the curse of short European format, where is hard to squeeze everything into 50-60 pages. But there are people who can do that so... Whole plot also doesn't make much sense, especially with ending.

So most enjoyment I've got was from art. Second and third album, where Riccardo Federici took over from Serpieri are amazing. Stunning grim dark ride, through dystopian word. I really loved it and I was willing to forget quite superficial storytelling. 3.5* (Where 2 are for art)
