About the Author
Greg Lim is a technologist and author of several programming books. Greg has many years in teaching programming in tertiary institutions and he places special emphasis on learning by doing.
Don’t expect to be spoon fed. If you have some programing experience, it wont really help. Swift has its own way of doing things, some of which is familiar but others don’t feel intuitive. If you are prepared to put in the work, maybe experiment a bit, and do a lot of extra reading, this book might be a start. Myself, I prefer to learn with some more solid foundations.
Greg has a few books on iOS development, as do many others, but this one is as good as it gets. It’s clear, well paced, contains useful examples and projects and should serve as a good base to start work building an iOSS app. If you want printed iOS instruction, grab this one.
