He’s a protective mountain man who doesn’t like Christmas… But this curvy journalist is determined to rekindle his holiday spirit.
Ella As an ambitious local reporter, I’ll do whatever it takes to get a story, even if it means driving into the mountains three days before Christmas. But when my car breaks down at the base of Snowfall Ridge, I have to walk through a blizzard to find shelter. Lucky for me, there’s an empty mountain cabin nearby. But once I get a fire going and strip out of my wet clothes, I realize the cabin isn’t so empty after all…
Cade When I walk in on a naked girl in my cabin, my world is instantly shaken up like a snow globe. Ella is so damn beautiful, and her curves drive me crazy every time I look at her. Now it looks like we’re snowed in together for Christmas, and Ella is determined to make our time together as festive as possible. I have my own reasons for being such a Grinch, but this curvy girl's sunshine personality is thawing my heart. Will this be the Christmas that changes my life forever?
Clara King writes short and steamy romance books featuring grumpy heroes who are tough on the outside and gooey on the inside. Her heroines are strong, curvy women with big dreams and sunshine personalities. Clara’s books include age gaps, cozy small towns, and a happy ending for every couple. When she’s not writing, Clara can be found reading, watching comedies, and eating anything remotely chocolate-based. She’s a history nerd, a cat person, and a fan of all things Jane Austen.
Ella is a journalist and is in town for an interview. She gets into a snow storm while getting home. She seeks shelter in a cabin and that's how she meets Cade. Cade is a grumpy loner and he kind of hates Christmas, but everything changes when he meets Ella. They fell head over heels for each other🥰 Instalove , age gap, sweet , romantic and safe with a sweet HEA and no drama😍😍
I was so excited for Cade's story after reading Maeve and Jackson's story, and it did not disappoint. Christmas with the Mountain Man is a short and steamy age gap, OTT, instalove, grumpy-sunshine, curvy girl gets her hunky mountain man romance. Ella is a young, curvy journalist who loves Christmas. Cade is an older, hunky, grumpy mountain man who is not overly fond of Christmas due to trauma in his younger years. When Ella gets stuck on the mountain in the snow after her car dies, she goes looking for someplace warm. She finds a cabin and strips out of her wet clothes after starting a fire, only to have Cade walk into his cabin... talk about an embarrassing first meeting. Either way, the two are insanely attracted to each other. But Cade is worried about their age gap. As Ella's Christmas spirit starts to melt this Grinch's heart, will he let love in? This couple had insane chemistry. I loved how Cade was so tender with her, and we got the best HEA. I loved it and can't wait for Nash's story next!.

Journalist Ella is sent on an assignment in the mountains. But her car breaks down and she has to find shelter quickly. An empty cabin was just what she needed! She strips out of her wet clothing and sets them to dry by the fire… just as the cabin’s owner walks in! Oops.
Mountain man Cade does not like Christmas. He lives alone on the mountain and likes it that way. But this was a nice “gift” for him to walk in and find, and he can’t take his eyes off the lovely female. Even the blizzard outside cooperates, because they certainly are not going to be going anywhere until the snow stops. So they get comfortable and get to know each other. Even though Cade is more on the Grinch side, for his own reasons, Ella has a sunshine personality and loves to share happiness with everyone. Can she raise Cade’s spirits and teach him to appreciate Christmas? And will she refuse to stop at enchanting just him when the whole town can use a little sunshine? Could Ella be the beginning of a HEA that will bring joy back into Cade’s life?
Christmas with the Mountain Man is the first book in the Snowfall Ridge series. This was a very enjoyable and fast read with insta-love/lust, age-gap, and forced proximity that takes a whole new meaning to "present under your tree". Ella is a young reporter for her hometown paper and is sent to interview a man the next town over about his stolen gnome. On the way back a snowstorm moves in quickly and her car dies at the side of the road. With no other option she walks to what she thinks is a cabin in the woods and when she gets there no one is there. But she enters, starts a fire and strips off her wet clothes. Cade is coming home after doing a day of delivering firewood in the area. When he gets there he finds a woman standing at his fireplace and get the surprise of his life. With no where to go they are snowed in for a couple of days. As it turns out she came to his cabin and shook his world up like a snow globe.
Journalist Ella (h22) is sent into the mountains by her editor on another questionable lead but still does her best only to have her car break down during a blizzard. She seeks refuge in what seems to be an empty cabin only to have the grumpy owner walk in the door after she’s peeled off all her wet clothes. Cade (H39) may not have good memories of Christmases past, btu Ella is determined to make his Christmas just a little happier this year. The pair find themselves drawn to one another and things heat up quickly while the storm rages outside. But when Ella gets going, she gets going and she’s determined that the whole mountain should have a very merry time – the whole party, Stanley and everyone coming together was just really lovely. Sweet and spicy age gap, grumpy sunshine, mountain man instalove romance with lots of Christmas cheer and community.
This was a wonderful and engaging holiday novella. The main characters (Cade & Ella) were from two different worlds and were focused on completely different things. A forced proximity situation, courtesy of Mother Nature and a snow storm, kept them locked inside his cabin for several days with little to do but get to know eachother...and they did. Readers were privy to back history with Cade (especially if you read King's latest series) but we learn more of his horrible family history and why he hates Christmas. Ella's gentle hand abs kind, giving spirit eases the way for Cade to open his heart. But what happens when the snow thaws and the roads start to clear?
I received an ARC of this book and was thrilled to be able to read/review it. I happily devoured each word and can only hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
Cade walked into his cabin during the worst blizzard in years to find a naked woman in front of his fireplace. Ella thought the cabin was deserted when she took refuge inside. Her car had broken down giving her no choice but to seek shelter somewhere. She dived for the couch grabbing a blanket for cover giving an explanation. Cade was smitten at first sight. He never thought that Ella would feel the same in return, but she did, and she made him want to be a much better man doing things for the area. They planned a Christmas lunch for all the lonely people on the mountain for Christmas in a short time possibly bringing other lonely hearts together. An amazing short holiday read with lots of spice and romance.

It’s definitely the kind of story you might expect from a novella like this. But boy is it cheesy!! Christmas cheese at that.
Though I liked the bit about Stanley and other lonely senior citizens and how Ella threw an impromptu potluck for all the lonely people in the area.
I don’t know why I read these stories though. I guess they’re an easy palette cleanser. You know it’ll be an HEA with instalove and a bit of spice. But again, Cade being a 39yo virgin 🙄 and the way they meet with Ella breaking into his cabin and stripping naked when he walks in🙄 But what can you expect from a book like this. It’s almost like the point is to make it instalove in the most impossible and cheesy way.
This book is just like eating Christmas cookies simply irresistible and delicious. I have a hard time resisting a good sugar cookie and this book was just like that. It had some Christmas spice and also some of the grinch in it. :) Cade is a mountain man who enjoys being alone. Ella is a reporter who gets snowed in with the Grinch after her car broke down. When the two of them have some of the best sex ever I am surprised the snow didn't melt away. This is a really quick and romantic book to read which will spice up your Christmas.

Ella is out in the wilderness to write a story about a lost gnome not realising what she is going to get started. Code is a loner who hates Christmas because of bad parents. Leaving at just 17, then finding out he has a sister who is so much younger than him. This couple definitely had chemistry from the moment Cade found Ella t his cabin. Definitely a good Christmas story to thaw even the grinchiest of heart. A heart warming tale about opening your heart and making better memories than you had. Can't wait to read about Nash.
Me emocionei com o final e o epílogo per-fei-to. Cade e Ella eram total opostos, mas que se completavam maravilhosamente. Que bom que eles se encontraram! Eu tô apaixonada até agora. Entrou na minha lista de favoritos. Super-Hiper-Ultra-Mega-Power recomendado!
I loved Christmas with the Mountain Man Snowfall Ridge. Ella was just trying to get warm after being in the snow storm but was surprised when Cade walks in on her naked. The storm will keep them together for the Christmas holiday but Cupid is trying to make it longer. Ella wants to stay but what about her job? Cade wants to be with Ella but she’s so young. Can they make it work? This will turn out to be a special Christmas for these two and others. I would definitely recommend this book.

Awww, this was a such sweet holiday romance! After reading Jackson and Maeve's story, I was excited for her brother, Cade’s, story. I loved all the feelings from this book. I got a little teary eyed when Cade was telling Ella about Stanley. That was so sad. I loved both Cade and Ella, and what they did for everyone on the mountain who didn’t have anyone to spend Christmas with was so incredibly sweet. This was another excellent read from Clara and I can’t wait for Nash’s story next!
Christmas with the Mountain Man is sexy, swoon-worthy, sweetness with a touch of grump and a heart of gold. Budding Journalist Ella Bell is such a feel-good character that you can’t help but love her, and grumpy Cade is a beautifully broken loner whose shrouded heart opens slowly and lovingly with Ella’s gentle determination. This is a gorgeous story that I will read over and over!

Christmas with the Mountain Man is an age gap insta love romance that ticks all the festive boxes for this time of the year. It is sweet with a side of heat that gives you romance with all the passion. It is a heartfelt romance that fills you with lots of love and warmth. It was great to finally see Cade get his HEA and fall just as hard as his best friend did. A great Christmas romance that has you singing a particular song over and over in your head.
Ella steamrolled right into Cade’s life. She was just what he needed to bring back his holiday spirit. Ella‘s editor sent her on an assignment to the mountain town of Snowfall Ridge. When she got there to her assignment, she was kind of put out that she was being forced to write a fluff piece on a “stolen” garden gnome. Then the trouble for her starts. She happens upon Cade’s cabin which she thinks is abandoned. Cade walks in and finds Ella in a compromising situation. Can Ella turn this grinch around?

I absolutely loved this book about Care and Ella. Basically the grinch and jingle bell. Hehe. Ella is sent on assignment to write an article about stolen property. After her car breaks down and she is stranded does she meet Cade. He is all grump and can't stand Christmas. That is until the curvy little spit fire kinda makes him. Once the snow blows over will they find happiness or is she leaving Crave County for good?
The author has given us a heartwarming older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Cade and Ella. The story keeps us turning the pages with instant connection, forced proximity, doubts and steam.

Cade is such a grumpy mountain man. I loved him and Ella together. They have a chance encounter that involves Ella stumbling into his cabin and him finding her naked in front of a fire. Their story after that is cute and sexy. I really enjoyed reading it!.

This was a short steamy read with a grumpy mountain man who has a past that makes him hate Christmas. Ella lands in his cabin suffering from hypothermia and soon has him changing his tune about the holidays with her sunshiny ways. A great start to this new series. I received an arc copy of this book.
I absolutely loved this book! Clara King is absolutely the best when it comes to big mountain men hunks. They just take your breath away! CHRISTMAS WITH THE MOUNTAIN MAN is a perfect holiday read with lots of interaction between Cade, the Mountain Man, and Ella—aka Jingle Bell. You need to grab a copy of this book today!
Loved this story! Ella comes into Cafe's life at Christmas time thanks to her car quitting near his cabin in a blizzard. Cade hates Christmas because of his parents but Ella intends to change this Grinch. Read this book to see how Ella changes many people's lives this Christmas.
This is a really good Christmas romance. It’s an age gap, love at first sight, curvy girl story. They find strength and happiness through each other. A very sweet and naughty feel good story.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I like how Ella brings Christmas cheer to Cade and to others on the mountain. However the best is the love that Ella and Cade found together.
A fun holiday read of falling for her rescuer the grinch. Enjoyed this sweet storyline of find love fast and furious when an unexpected visitor comes and gives Cade a new lease and outlook on life.

this was such a cute holiday insta-lust romance between a damsel in distress and the kind mountain man who stopped to help her. As time passes the two can't help fall for each other but will they be able to have a HEA when her work assignment is over and her life back home awaits?
I think I would like it better as a longer book rather than a short story. I like the characters very much. The story line is great. Just too far fetched to meet and fall in love like that. And the whole virgin thing. No.
