Ze zitten aan de ontbijttafel. 'Toe dan', zegt Jonathan tegen Sophie, en hij leunt zo dicht naar haar toe dat ze de mee-eters op zijn neus kan zien. Hij wil dat ze in haar cornflakes spuugt. 'Nee', zegt Sophie. 'Als jij het niet doet, dan doe ik het.' 'Nee!' 'Schiet nou maar op,' zegt Jonathan. Mam is boven, op zoek naar schone sokken omdat Sophie sap over de hare heeft geknoeid. 'Maar ik wíl niet,' zegt Sophie. 'Ik tel tot drie en dan doe ik het. Een... Twee...' Sophie spuugt. 'Meer', zegt Jonathan.

Relato muy breve que nos cuenta los abusos psicológicos que sufre una hermana menor por parte de su hermano mayor, el cual la acusa de ser la causante de la muerte de su anterior hermana, a pesar de que todavía no habia nacido.
Es solamente un esbozo pero está bien escrito.

Me dejé llevar por la portada y el título que en realidad muy poco tiene que ver con el contenido y claro. La historia no está mal, los que no me gusta que está narrada desde una perspectiva infantil y que podría ser mucho más siniestra.

This is the first book I’ve read in Spanish- not that it is a full sized book. And I did need to look up a bunch of words. But I finished and enjoyed it! Will probably reread as I get more proficient 😄
