Smooth Story
A very promising beginning to a fantasy series. Katania looks like a female superhero, with sufficient drama, action and adventure. Lovely storytelling skills, immersive and enjoyable. The additional short story is also a delight.

Katania & Kathos by Ruth Watson Morris was a delight to read, full of fantastic characters, demonic creatures, reptilians and a great story to encompass them all with a mythical blend perfect for teenagers and adults alike. What I didn't expect was two books in one. Thank you to the author for that extra treat.
Part 1 is Kathos which introduces the reader to the beginning of the known universe. Gods have children but their offspring develop into good and evil which splits apart the equilibrium. Kathos the angel is sent to watch over Lucifer and his brothers. Can Kathos bring order and keep his evil brothers in line? Will the Voxians help Kathos attain this difficult goal?
Part 2 is all about Katania a new generation angel who continues the struggle between good and evil. I especially loved the new demon characters and their names which invoked their characters to perfection. The dialog is excellent and the book well-paced. This is a brilliant start to a new series that will certainly take off.
Five Stars for this mythological fantasy and highly recommended.

KATANIA
This is a great start to this new series for young adults, but I have to say as a more mature adult, I thoroughly enjoyed the read! Katania has to lead ‘the new gen’ against a demon named Nytshade. When Nytshade visits Isis and meets King Greigoria, she leaves a trail of destruction behind. Then, the Vardu race, who were believed to be extinct also create havoc on the planet Vox. Soon, Nytshade’s father Synn steps in. There are so many different and interesting species in this exciting adventure.
The book is fast paced, and at times brought a smile to my face. Definitely worth a read!
KATHOS
A bonus read which I didn’t expect.
This story takes us back to the beginning, and sets the scene for this new series. Lilly and Synn were lovers who begin fighting as a result of two their sons, bad behaviour. This results in The Wonders dividing into two parts, good and evil. Evil Lucifer is ambitious, but Lilly prepares her other sons for the dangers ahead. Another of Lilly’s sons, one named Kathos is an angel, and is sent to watch in case his evil brothers’ threaten them with danger. After travelling, he is introduced to the Voxian people and becomes King. Can Kathos work with the Voxian people to bring his brothers back into line? Great introduction to what appears to be an exciting new series…
