Australia, 2035. Robotics engineer Tereza has never contemplated how to escape hell on earth … until now. When her work trip to a remote island for a military tech company turns from mundane to murder in the blink of an eye, Tereza’s sheltered world goes haywire. Hunted and haunted in a game of cat and mouse, the lines between friend and foe dissolve. Some want to help escape this madness; others want her dead. To stay alive, Tereza must make terrible decisions. But these decisions unearth nasty secrets. Secrets that shatter everything she ever believed in. Out of options, Tereza must fight back and run a macabre gauntlet, where any mistake spells doom worse than death. It’s all in, and the stakes couldn’t be higher, as her fate and sanity are far deeper intertwined with the island than she could have imagined. Ultimately, the question boils down to Will technology unravel the mystery of who Tereza truly is, or will it annihilate her?
Lieutenant Konrad Beck's vision was growing dark, his heart was racing and his lungs were failing. In his escape, he stumbled, unfortunately...
Elsewhere, in 2035, Tereza was traveling on the Prague tram, her mind lost to the sound of her music...

A good “thriller/espionage/military” book that is rather mysterious and captivating to read.
After a slightly disturbing start to the novel for my taste, the main character of Tereza finds herself embarked on dangerous adventures despite herself.
This was a really interesting read! A good length story, so something to get lost in, which is great. Twists & turns in the plot, some unexpected, which is good & held the interest! I did really like the characters, despite the main female character having quite high levels of angst. THe pace was fast & lost of action! A really good read!
Good read. Characters well fleshed out. Background was thought through for the type of story and battles. Never said how the teams died. Definitely recommend to my friends.
It is a thrilling adventure that opens up important questions about our future. I read it in a couple of days, the story is gripping and the interesting characters make you follow it to the end.
