She was unlocking the door of her room when he stealthily approached her and tapped on her shoulder. “Hello.”
"AHH!" She abruptly pivoted towards him, letting out a loud scream with her hand on her chest. “What the hell!”
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.”
Breathlessly, she glared at him. “Your ability to emerge in places unexpectedly and quietly is remarkable. Are you human or apparition?”
“Is your heart one of the places you were talking about?” He said wiggling his brows while his eyes sparkled with playfulness. Her eyes roved across his face while her heart drummed a wild rhythm in the confinement of her chest.
He noticed her gaze flicking over his face and smirked. “So, the answer is yes.”
His cockiness pulled her out of the trance. Summoning her senses, she stared at him with pursed lips, masking her emotion behind deep frown.
“You wish.” She scoffed. "Gaining entry into Almas's heart is no easy task, Mr. Ahad Shirazi."
“That’s perfect,” Ahad said while pulling a strand of her hair before leaving it and watched it in fascination as it dangled around her face. "I really enjoy taking on demanding challenges."
She stepped back while rolling her eyes but he held her wrist and pulled her closer. “And by the way your heartbeat seems unusually noisy, any particular reason?" He breathed out in her ear.

One piece of news changed Ahad and Almas's whole life. Today is the day they met and tomorrow they became enemies. The knot of sacred bond became a knot of anger and revenge. It took them a lot of struggle to make things work. It was like walking on fire but they gave their best to handle it.  But the damage was so nasty that it needed a hell lot of time.  Will they be able to cure their so-called relationship?

Wow ❕ an example of a simple, cute, and entertaining read where you enjoy the banter, love, hate, revenge, and whatnot.  It started with a misunderstanding and now they can't stand each other. Their journey has so much drama that you will be curious to read how this marriage survived.

A simple yet one-of-the-👍🏻 best 👍🏻

I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You by Shazia Akhter is a contemporary romance novel that begins with a forced marriage alliance, followed by romance, and separation, and ends with happily ever after.
The author has described the romance between the newly married couple in the most decent by skillfully avoiding steamy scenes while writing this amazing love story.
This book is a roller coaster journey of Almas and Ahad who come from completely different financial and family backgrounds.
The author had wonderfully framed all the characters, especially the female protagonist. The character of Almas resonates with every girl who is born in a middle-class family in India. I loved her courage, persistence, and never-give-up attitude in the story.

Book        :   I can't help: falling in love with you
Author     :  Shazia Akhter
Format    :  Kindle Edition
Ratings    :  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"I Can't Help Falling in Love with You" was a delightful romance that effortlessly wove together the lives of Ahad Shirazi and Almas. Ahad, a wealthy man, and Almas, who struggled to support her mother, found themselves unexpectedly married by fate.

Despite their initial differences, their relationship evolved into a heartfelt journey of love and resilience.

But their lives took a drastic turn when fate intervened, and it was from this point onwards that I found the story particularly compelling. While there were grammar mistakes and the first half could have been written better, the second half hooked me to read it.

The story was concise and to the point, offering a clear and engaging narrative. As a first-time reader of this author, I enjoyed the storyline and would definitely read more books by her.

Overall, it was a short, sweet, and heartwarming story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Too many characters

I would have given 5 stars but there were too many characters in the book to remember who was who and also some grammatical errors. The story is different from your typical desi romance. The twist comes in the middle of the story rather than towards the end. Overall loved it.
