Christopher 'Frost' Bell is a man head over heels for his fiancée Evelyn James. When he discovers Evelyn is battling leukemia, Frost's world goes upside down. He's all in, but fate's got its own plans.
Fast forward a year, Frost sees Talon Gibbs at a student basketball game. Sparks fly, and they vibe over Christmas break. Frost realizes he's falling in love with Talon, but he can't shake the ghost of Evelyn and Christmas past. Talon takes it upon herself to show Frost the joy of Christmas by planning daily activities that bring him closer to the holiday.
Can Frost let go of the past and unwrap a new beginning with Talon? In this heartwarming holiday novella, feel love, loss, and the magic of Christmas vibes filled with second chances.
The story was dripping with cuteness and sappy sweet. I liked that this was about a second chance for Frost to have a lovely Christmas. Evelyn laid the ground work for Talon and Frost to follow. Too cute.
"Snack Frost by Torryn Santana tells the story of Christopher 'Frost' Bell, who goes through tough times when his fiancée, Evelyn, faces illness. A year later, he meets Talon Gibbs, and their connection is like magic. Frost is struggling with memories of Evelyn, but Talon helps him find joy in Christmas. What's awesome is how Talon helps Frost heal from losing his wife and honors her memory by creating a scholarship fund. It's a heartwarming tale about love, healing, and the spirit of Christmas." 📚❤️🎄
This was a sweet little Christmas short. Frost loved that Evelyn down and an unfortunate life changing event stole all of that. However, that Talon wasn’t lacking on the gift of love. This is my first by this author and I enjoyed it.
This story of love loss and grief was not what I expected. My heart went out to Frost as he supported his first Love as she fought but lost her battle against Leukemia. I struggled to complete reading this story. It may have been the fact that I wasn’t sure how I truly felt about howTalon seemed to push Frost even when she knew he was grieving.
I loss track of the time line occasionally, however the writer Seemed pretty clear she wanted t take with this story. Although this wasn’t my least favorite books. I wasn’t the worst book I’ve ever read either. With that being said this story about overcoming the grief that accompanies the loss of a loved one. This book May not be for everyone , just know that there is a HEA
Snack Frost was tender, emotional and heavy in a way holiday stories don’t always allow themselves to be. Frost loving his fiancée through her illness, losing her and still carrying that grief years later felt real. His sadness wasn’t performative it lingered, showed up in quiet moments and shaped how he moved through love afterward. I really appreciated how open and emotionally honest he was about where his heart still lived.
Talon, though… I had mixed feelings. On one hand, her wanting to bring joy back into Frost’s life and honoring Evelyn through the scholarship was beautiful. On the other hand, the push sometimes felt a little too aggressive. Grief doesn’t have a timeline and it made me wonder if Talon didn’t have romantic interest in Frost, would she have been as invested in helping him “move on”? There were moments where she felt understanding and others where it seemed like she wanted him out of Evelyn’s shadow on her schedule, not his.
Do they care for each other? Yes. Is there love there? Absolutely. But sometimes the most loving thing you can do is let someone come to you when they’re ready instead of trying to pull them forward faster than their heart can manage.
Still, this story handled loss with care and reminded me that healing isn’t linear, especially when love and memory are tangled together. Emotional, thoughtful and imperfect just like real life. Oh and I can't be the only one who was dying to know what the inscription on the pocket watch said!!!

Christmas is supposed to be a wonderful happy time but this year however Evelyn discovered her favorite holiday as well as upcoming wedding plans had to be put on hold because she was diagnosed with leukemia and it came at her full forced and fast, knowing that she would no longer be there in the future with Frost she prayed that he would find someone to help him move on and find happiness yet again. On one rainy night while on his way to the hospital there was a broken down car normally he wouldn't stop but something just wouldn't allow him to drive by. Once he walked back into Evelyn's hospital room she told him that he met her but he didn't understand what she was talking about but in her heart she knew her prayers were answered and she could go on peacefully and rest knowing that Frost would have a second chance at love and happiness. At first he fought against it but in the end he and Talon found happiness and he understood what Evelyn meant.
Frost went through a devastating time in his when he lost the love of his life. Still struggling with his grief, Frost meets Talon. Talon is determined to help Frost with his grief and decides that the Christmas season might assist in this endeavor. In the end, Talon's love of the season and the love she had for Frost helped heal him. I felt for Frost and loved the love and care he had for Evelyn until the end. He is the kind of man we all need in our time of need. Frost and Talon were a cute couple together and I loved all of the Christmas activities mentioned that I wished I could have attended. 😊 Talon was just who Frost needed and she never wavered in her support of him through his difficult time.
I loved this story about true love, loss, grief, and second chances. I love how Frost was so vulnerable throughout. I wish we saw that in more male main characters. My biggest hang up with this story is the timeline??? I had no idea through this whole story how long things had been going on and normally that doesn’t matter to me, but it mad the story feel odd at some points. There was a part of the story that indicated two years had passed since the loss, but then later in the story they said it’d only been a year. So that made some parts confusing. Other than that, extremely likable, loving characters. I love that the conflict wasn’t because of any major character flaws. Would love to explore more from this author.

My Sentiments:
Will Frost finally be able to move on after Evelyn's death? It had been a year since her death, and now he was involved with Talon. Would he continue to grieve for Evelyn or start to be relieved that Talon was there for him and allow her into his heart? Will Frost finally realize that Evelyn has 'molded and shaped the perfect man?' Now, what had that been about?

This book is actually good. You’re able to see the main character process grief and have a second chance at love which is realistic. However, this books needs some serious editing. There were sentences that were heavily repeated. Then I’m thinking it’s Christmas already because they’re on break and then it says Christmas is a week away in the middle of the book. When that happened it seemed like the whole book changed. If this gets fixed we would be good. I would have deemed this as a novella because it’s short and gets to the point. Once this book gets a good edit, it would be really good. That’s why I gave it a 3.
Frost was set to spend his life with Evelyn, but life dealt him other plans! He meets Talon stranded one evening and they eventually find their way thru healing, grief and finally love! I enjoyed this just didn't quite like how he almost lost the love of this woman but I think Evelyn's spirit helped to bring him to the point where he had to let go to move forward.
Life after the death of a loved one may seem hard to breathe everyday however the person you lost wouldn’t want you to suffer. Everyone deserves love and second chances to find ever lasting love and happiness.
Allowing grace in everyday during your grieving period will provide opportunities for joy.
This was an excellent read that hit too close to home. I recently lost my love of 23 years. Grief is hard to deal with but you have to keep living. I’m glad that Frost found healing and a new love with Talon. This was well written and I truly enjoyed this sort. I now have a new author and will continue to support
So beautiful! This was just filled with so much emotions and sappy sweetness. I enjoyed this book. I felt the warmth and love. Definitely gave some heartbreaking moments but this was a heartwarming story about grief, healing and finding love again.
This was my first book by Torryn but won’t be my last.
2.5 ⭐️ I felt like the focus of this book focused more on the loss of Chris’s fiancé versus him overcoming the grief. By the end, it still felt like he was still hesitant to propose or move forward with Talon. This was a little heavy to be considered a Christmas book. It had all the Christmas elements, but I didn’t feel the Christmas feels while reading it.

This was a love story from a different perspective. Great read. Frost was so in love with his dead girlfriend, he almost lost himself. Along comes Talon and grief started not to feel so good. Evelyn predicted it,but Frost ignored it .
I ready this book so fast! That's just how good it was. I was sad that Evelyn left so quickly. I Loved how Frost cherished the love that was between then. I loved how Talon respected Evelyn, although she knew her and Frost were going to be together.
Frost was set out to not love again after losing the love of his life, but fate had other plans. Talon was just what he needed and she loved him even when he fought against her tooth and nail. This story shows how beautiful love is when it's meant to be.
Talon was a sweet woman who was so patient with a grieving Frost. Their romance moved a bit too fast for me. At times I found myself bored with their lackluster romance.
we all go through things but relationships shouldn't be this hard. I couldn't figure out why talon was fighting so hard to be a rebound relationship. it's hard to compete with a dead person. frost only wanted talon because thats what Evelyn and talon wanted
THIS WAS MY FIRST READ BY THIS AUTHOR. ALTHOUGH IT WAS A PRETTY GOOD STORYLINE, I JUST DIDN’T FEEL A CONNECTION TO THE CHARACTERS. TO ME THERE WAS NO REAL CONNECTION IT ALL JUST FELT FORCED😔.
It’s was like they were in a poly relationship. I get being understanding but where do you draw the line. It made me uncomfortable for Talon , I couldn’t even finish the book.
Struggled to finish. I felt nothing for these two. There didn’t seem to be any chemistry between them. Did I miss the meaning behind why Frost got the name “Snack”.
Love, pain, sorrow and grief finally leads Frost full circle back to love. Evelyn was an angel and wanted the best for him. Talon was just what she ordered.
