The novel revolves around two characters- Kalpana and Adhithyan.  Kalpana is a dentist who struggles financially.  She was once in love with Adhithyan, who belongs to a family of big political background.  Adhithyan leaves Kalpana when she is pregnant and she strives as a single parent.  As Kalpana is slowly (or rather quickly) building her business territory, Adhithyan knocks to enter her life again- but the motto is more political than of love. Will Kalpana allow that to happen?  If so, where would her life lead to? With various twists and turns, the author presents an absolutely gripping tale, and I can't resist giving 5 stars to it.

The plot flows.  'Flows' is the apt word that can tell out how I felt while reading the book. I read this book in two sittings, which I would have probably done in one if work didn't interfere.    I just can't put this book down- the story is fast paced and it awakens enthusiasm as the story progresses.   The writing style is simple and clear.  It appeals.  What more do we need?

This novel literally has everything- politics, romance, business, failures, hatred and what not.  The take on relationships between characters and their personal mottos are to the level. Author's way of connecting the dots is what I think is the best thing in the novel. Absolutely loved the ending.  Indeed, the plot twist is not at all what I expected it to be.  Well written in every sense.  Special mention to Ranjinikanth's references in the book- it hits home.

Recommended to anyone who's looking for a gripping novel in the genre of political thriller (and not just that).

Exciting story telling. Terse and to the point.
Well edited. Keeps the pages turning. Satisfying end.

Battle is yet to come but war won already. Nice touch.

Even though the story moves on expected lines, the energetic writing style of the author retains the reader’s interest.

Go for it.

This compelling novel delves into the intricacies of karma, weaving a tale of love, betrayal, and redemption through the lives of Kalpana and Adhithyan. Kalpana, a struggling dentist and single parent, faces financial challenges but embarks on a journey to build her business empire.

The narrative unfolds with the return of Adhithyan, whose reappearance is driven more by political motives than love. The plot takes unexpected turns, keeping readers engaged with its fast-paced storytelling. The author masterfully connects the dots between politics, romance, business, failures, and intense emotions, creating a multifaceted narrative.

The book's flow is aptly described as it effortlessly carries readers through the storyline. The author's simple and clear writing style resonates, making the novel accessible and appealing. The incorporation of elements like politics, romance, and personal struggles adds depth to the characters and their relationships.

The plot twist, contrary to expectations, adds a layer of unpredictability and excitement. The ending is well-crafted, leaving readers satisfied yet surprised. The author's skillful use of references, such as those to Ranjinikanth, adds a relatable touch to the narrative.

The overarching theme of the novel explores the complexities of relationships, personal motivations, and the consequences of one's actions. Kalpana's journey, marked by political intrigue, emotional upheavals, and startling revelations, transforms into a captivating roller-coaster ride.

The book's overview hints at a strong female protagonist, Kalpana, rising from adversity to pursue wealth and power. The choices she faces, both emotionally and politically, contribute to the novel's gripping nature. The blend of political thriller elements, along with well-executed storytelling, makes this novel a recommended read for those seeking a captivating and natural exploration of human relationships and ambitions.

This exciting tale explores the concepts of karma and brings us a story about love, betrayal, and forgiveness that revolves around Kalpana’s life along with Adhithyan. A dentist in debt as a single parent, Kalpana begins her trek of creating an empire through the business world.

When Adhithyan returns, driven not just by affection but also political motives, the story veers off course and proceeds at a great speed to keep readers interested. The author deftly interweaves politics, romance, entrepreneurship and failures with intense motifs to compose a polyphonic narrative.

Concerning flow, the bookology describes it rightly as smoothly guiding readers through its plot. Therefore, the book is reader-friendly due to a straightforward and obvious writing style of its author. Politics, love and inner demons are used to increase the depth of people as well as their interactions.

However, the unexpectedness brings an element of unforeseen and dynamism. The conclusion is effective, giving satisfaction with a surprise ending. The author’s smart inclusion of references all over, for example about Ranjinikanth adds a contextual perspective to the story.

The idea that pervades the entire novel is about relationship, individual motivation and retribution for actions. Kalpana’s journey with the political conspiracy, emotional turmoil and unforeseen revelations transform into an exciting carnival ride.

The book’s summary indicates a powerful female main character, Kalpana who struggles to acquire wealth and power. Facing personal and political challenges, the suspense in this novel increases. The recommended read for anyone looking for a suspenseful and truthfully written study on what drives human relationships and dreams this novel combines political thrillers with well presented narration.

In general authors follow a particular genre, be it a crime thriller, family drama, corporate tussle, drugs etc and with a set backdrop viz healthcare, law firm, airport or ship, banks etc.

However Bala standout from them by not sticking either to a genre or to a backdrop. In fiction he has done business building, emotional relationship and now a corporate and a political crime thriller. Hats off to him - It is very difficult to give such a variety.

A spark will get into a flame very quickly if the substance is flammable. This story’s substance is so captivating and the spark became a flame so quickly and impossible to keep the book down

It is natural that any movie or a book when it is relatable to ur surrounding and to the reader in anyway, it will always be interesting. Flame is so relatable to anyone who is living in India and Chennai in particular

Appreciate the author’s guts to create a female protagonist who has a lot of grey side but with a clear focus to attain power wealth and fame. Though the story is told in a non linear way, there is no confusion for the reader to follow the thread.

Author has not only written the screen play but also written the scene sequence too which will be helpful for any director if it is made into a movie or a web series

A separate arc can be created for each character and this book will easily fit into an interesting multi lingual web series. I wish it should happen soon.

I feel, the story should have extended a bit more and it has stuff to cover easily 250 pages. I am sure author will write many more

The book "Flame: Desire... Vengeance" is a fictional book by P.C.Balasubramanian.

The story revolves around Kalpana, a financially struggling dentist, and Adhithyan, from a powerful political family, who abandons her during pregnancy. As Kalpana successfully builds her business empire, Adhithyan reappears with political motives, not love.

The story unfolds with compelling twists, keeping readers engaged. The pacing is swift, and the simple, appealing writing style enhances the overall experience. This multifaceted novel encompasses politics, romance, business, failures, and complex character relationships, skillfully interconnected by the author. The ending is surprising, deviating from expectations.

The inclusion of Rajinikanth references adds a nostalgic touch. A captivating read, the book seamlessly blends genres, particularly excelling in the political thriller domain.

The writing style was different and crisp till end. I kinda liked the South Indian touch in the book.Highly recommended for those seeking a riveting narrative with depth. The novel's ability to evoke enthusiasm and its unexpected plot turns make it a compelling choice for readers. Overall, a happy read.

Flame is a political thriller fiction which has multiple third person pov.
Kalpana is an intelligent and beautiful girl who has big dreams and wants a successful life.
In college, she met Agathiyan. Agathiyan is a son of Elangovan who is a big political party head member.
Kalpana became pregnant with Agathiyan's child but Agathiyan declined to marry her and refused to learn about child. Then, Kalpana decided to give birth to a child and take revenge from Agathiyan and Elangovan.
In all this situations, She met Suraj who was her ray of hope. Suraj also helped her to grow her business but destiny takes turns and Kalpana got offered to marry Agathiyan.

💫 ℳ𝓎 𝓉𝒽ℴ𝓊ℊ𝒽𝓉𝓈
This book shows how shady politics works and how a rich and powerful people use their power to achieve their dreams and make themselves more powerful.
I really dislike Agathiyan characters he doesn't have any morals and insight about what is right or wrong. He is blind in lust which make me choose wrong path.
I go same for Elangovan who was busy with his career and never encounter with his son right or wrong things done by him.
People said, "parents doing wrong always comes to their children."
In Maya case, this feel like true.I feel bad for Maya and for Parthiban, it's true Karma is a bitch.

"Flame: Desire... Vengeance" by P. C. Balasubramanian is a riveting tale of Kalpana's tumultuous journey through love, betrayal, and ambition. Balasubramanian weaves a compelling narrative, blending political intrigue with emotional drama, as Kalpana faces tough choices amid the challenges of pregnancy and a struggling dental clinic.
What I can assure that the author has beautifully narrated the whole story from the beginning and it's praiseworthy. The plot is well developed. It's an amazing thriller, it seems like an adventurous movie that will surely filled your heart. The unexpected twists, head-over-heart decisions, and stunning revelations keep readers hooked, turning Kalpana's story into a captivating roller-coaster ride.

What I was impressed with the most was the flow of the writing! Everything is gelled together seamlessly and I whizzed through the book in one sitting. This is a type of book which I can read whenever or wherever I am. The author's technique of raw, magnetic characters and great plotlines is a gift.

However, I found this quite soulful and engaging to keep the readers hooked and tempted towards the track and plot of this book.Once you pick up, you can't put the book down!

If you are looking for a captivating thriller that skillfully combines rich storytelling with romance, drama and intrigue then Flame by P C Balasubramanian should be your next read!

Amidst the political conundrum lie many secrets, unseen realities, that are sweeped under the rug for political upliftment of the few. These realities usually carry a gruesome picture of the lesser privileged being trampled upon and on the corpses of these innocents stand the thrones. Spiky. Bloody. Gleaming. Flame: Desire... Vengeance by P C Balasubramanian is a book that brings forth one such political thriller.

The prologue sets the preamble for the narrative to unfold. Parthiban is sharpening his weapon to give a closure to a gory chapter. Further the story unfolds to unveil the lives of two starkly opposite characters - Kalpana and Agathiyan - intertwined in the gamble of politics. ©
