Sacrifice
Kathleen opened her eyes to a white ceiling, white walls, and no windows. The strong smell of antiseptics may have woken her up, or perhaps she was still dreaming. She wasn’t sure of anything anymore as she lived in a haze lately. Her throat was parched, her thoughts muddled. She felt despair engulf her when she recalled the reason she ended up in that place.It took weeks for Jason to finally locate Kat and free her from that nightmarish place. He was seething. He is going to do whatever it takes to protect Kat and keep her safe. Bring justice to the one that hurt Kat was a bonus.

What a delightful romantic novella! It had me gripped from beginning to end. Author S.A. Santos packs a lot in 90 pages: passion, longing, danger, adventure and the perfect honeymoon. Jason is a swoon-worthy hero as he strives to protect Kat while wrestling with his growing feelings for her. Kat is an endearing, brave heroine and their romance is tender, sexy and believable. The perfect read to brighten up the longer, darker evenings!

A captivating quick read!
There is a lot of suspense, intrigue, and passion in less than 100 pages! It's a very enjoyable short story! It kept my attention throughout the book, and kept me guessing as to how the book would end. I look forward to reading more by this author!

it was an enjoyable reading, the reality on the evolution on each chapter made me curious about what would be going to happen next.... easy reading, good romance and I really loved it.

An unusual romance story...which is a good thing. It starts with Kat waking up drugged in an asylum. She can't think straight, and the nurse simply administers more sedatives. In dreams slash nightmares, she remembers bits from her father's funeral, crying, and her stepmother, Carol, giving her a tablet to calm her.
Jason, who her parents took in as a ward, rescues her. The story has many twists and turns. Apparently Kat had a teenage crush on Jason, then Jason's ex turns up. Throw in a murder attempt and lots of self-doubt, and you have the perfect romance novel.
Would Jason's sacrifice be enough for a Happy-Ever-After ending?
You'll have to read the story to find out.

A sexy suspense with lots of surprises! This novel starts off with Kat in a very vulnerable situation: she wakes up in a strange room, with restraints on her arms and legs, feeling drugged, helpless, and without memories of what is going on. Honestly, this scene tugged on my heartstrings. The “medical” staff does nothing but keep Kat sedated. Why is this happening and what is she to do? This mystery slowly unfolds as the reader learns about Jason, who barges into her room on a mission. But who is Jason and why does he keep Kat at arms length? Ms. Santos does an excellent job of showing us just why Jason treads very carefully around Kat. And as an added bonus, the sexual attraction between them is off the charts! A highly recommended read!

The author has Amazingly penned different layers of love in subtle form , the beginning is quite slow but as you proceed curiosity begins to spring, Love which is supposed to Divine feeling , here the author highlights that sacrifice is always better in love when there lies no trust or the idea to move on further as holding to such love does no good , the end part of the novel did not allow me to wink the eye as the author has excelled in bringing both the emotions as well formation of sentences to her best. Kudos to the writer.

An Excellent novel
The story left deep imprint on my soul. The romance between Jason and kat was almost breathtaking. And love¿ It had no limits. The way he took care of her made me longing for true love. I mean the writer's style of writing rendered in me an oceanic longing to be loved. The chapter before the epilogue made me shake like a leaf, but as I read further, a wave of contentment surrounded me. An excellent novel.

The mark of a good short story is when it leaves you wanting more. Or at the very least, leaves you satisfied as a reader. This short story by S.A.Santos does exactly that.....satisfied yet still wanting more. I could so easily see this story played out as a movie and even tried to picture the lead actors in their roles.
There is so much to be told in the Jason and Kat love story; a wealth of backstory that alone would be enough to keep the reader intrigued. Yet there’s so much more goodness in their adventure. It all begins with Kat in a awful situation, her very life endangered. Jason, like all true heroes, comes rushing to the rescue and so begins their path to love and happiness, a path that is strewn with moments of sweetness, danger, misunderstandings and challenges. Kat, after her terrible ordeal turns out to be a stronger character than the reader initially thinks and Jason is definitely a man of action - when it comes to Kat, he will do anything and everything to protect her. Their journey is fun, hot, spicy and intriguing. But I will give you no spoilers....read for yourself.
Knowing that this book is written by someone for whom English is a Second Language makes it all the more impressive. It’s written with a natural ebb and flow yet every now and again a certain charm peaks through, its’ intonation reflecting the author’s non-English background and brings forth a wonderful cadence that otherwise wouldn’t have been there.
A huge BRAVO to Ms Santos for a delightful short story. It’s a quick read and highly recommended.

Heart stopping romance
An intriguing romance novelette with action thrown in to keep the story going. Will he, won't he, does he, doesn't he and how does she feel and why do her emotions keep changing?
With Kath in a vulnerable position, and Jason there to only protect her, things develop as both realise their true feelings. Five star easily, loved it.

This is stupefying love story of Kat and Jason. I really loved the way how Jason express his love and is almost ready to sacrifice his life for. The author has weaved the story very well. It's easy to understand as well keeps the reader hooked on.

Olá! 1º livro que leio da autora, gostei da escrita fluída e do desenvolvimento. Confesso que gosto mais quando é escrito em 1ª pessoa e que em 3ª pessoa tenho impressão que os personagens ficam um pouco distante...

amazing book amazing hook and unique
It takes allot for me to enjoy a book of this genre yet only half way through the first chapter I fell in love with the main character Kat and am worried about her. I finished the first chapter and am way excited to read the rest. The writing is far from boring and easy to read this easy to be absorbed into the world like it’s yours.

- Imaginem vocês acordarem em um hospital sem se lembrarem do que aconteceu e como foram parar lá. Imaginaram? Então, foi exatamente isso que aconteceu com nossa protagonista Kathleen, na qual acorda e se vê de repente em um hospital e sem recordações do que lhe ocorreu, desesperador né?! Kathleen aos poucos vai lembrando-se do que houve em sua vida – o seu querido pai está morto e ela se vê sozinha no mundo, já que sua mãe faleceu anos atrás. Mantida presa e sedada em um hospital e sem esperanças de fuga, eis que surge nosso outro protagonista, Jason, que salva Kat das garras deste hospital.
Jason um homem que passou pela dor da perda dos seus pais quando novo, e que após esse acontecimento foi acolhido por seu padrinho, ninguém menos que o pai de nossa protagonista. Devido a essa circunstância Jason se torna um homem com uma personalidade um tanto problemática e de um temperamento muito forte.
O contato entre Kathleen e Jason tinha sido há muitos anos atrás, portanto a preocupação e ajuda do nosso protagonista para Kat em um momento tão importante em sua vida a deixou de certa forma balançada. Ao decorrer do livro percebemos que a relação entre Kat e Jason é muito além do que imaginamos, os dois compartilham de uma forte atração e sentimentos.
Como tudo na vida tem um propósito o fato de Kat ter sido mantida em um hospital, além de reaproximar duas pessoas que se gostam a muito tempo novas surpresas vão surgindo, onde Kat percebe que sua madrasta não é alguém tão confiável assim e que ela pode estar envolvida em toda essa tragédia que acometeu sua vida.
Aventuras, mistérios, um romance pra lá de intenso, e o ensinamento de que uma relação é construída com o tempo e confiança envolve esta maravilhosa trama. Além de nossa escritora S.A. Santos possuir uma escrita fluida e envolvente, é MUITA perfeição. E aí o que estão esperando para embarcar neste admirável enredo??
