Caleb McCallister does not have a normal childhood. His mother rejected him, and his father is an alcoholic.

Despite everything, Caleb sticks to his morals and becomes a respected citizen of his hometown. Everyone loves him because of his determination to uphold the law and protect the innocent.

Due to his unyielding sense of justice, Sheriff Craig Dalton believes Caleb is the only person that possesses the right set of skills to go after a notorious outlaw by the name of Silas “Blackheart” Kane.

The outlaw has been wreaking havoc in Colorado for a while. Somebody needs to stop him.

Even though Silas seems like a loose cannon, he is not stupid. He is assembling a gang of dangerous criminals to go head-on with the law.

When Caleb ventures out of town to stop Silas, he witnesses the loss of countless lives under the gun of Blackheart.

Is Silas “Blackheart” Kane going to get away with his crimes, or is Caleb going to put a stop to his reign of terror?

Caleb and Amelia will definitely keep you turning pages to see what happens next!

Another five stars extravaganza from Mr. Storm, as there are no stones unturned throughout this compassionately loaded series of realistically old American western folklore adventures! No slowdowns from beginning to end!
Some of the most entertaining, and definitely endearing, storylines I have read thus far, and that covers a lot of books being read in the past few years! A very heartwarming story that will pacify anyone's desired expectations! Too, the outstanding character selections are unsurpassed from beginning to end! Caleb especially stands tall whenever the rubber hits the road, and Amelia pulls no punches in her ongoing involvement!
Most definitely recommend this compassionately loaded series of unending western excitement to all readers, as I assure you, regardless of your desired reading entertainment, will enjoy along with this deadly duo, and their associates, as they try to rid their area of the most corrupt group of outlaws that prey on the weak and innocents! Great entertainment from beginning to end!!!😃

Caleb is just a cowboy, but one well respected in his town. Silas and his gang are ruthless killers and thieves. When it looks like they are getting too close to town, the sheriff deputizes Caleb to go fetch them. Along the way Caleb meets Amelia, whose husband was murdered by Silas. She insists on going with to find the gang. She wants revenge and to keep the gang from murdering more innocent people. Further down the trail they meet a group of Indians, led by Chief Calian, that want them off their land. When Caleb helps them fight off some Comanches, they change their mind and insist on helping Caleb find the outlaws. For someone that was determined to do this on his own, Caleb has collected quite a group. The Silas gang isn't the only gang roaming the hills. There is the Wilford gang that Silas hires to protect him. They have other ideas. There is also Lyra's gang She hates Silas and has been dogging him wherever he goes. What a cast of characters. Join them as they try to track down Silas and his gang.

okay story

Sometimes you get to reading a story and it pulls you in and you are right there with the characters and sometimes you have a book that you just read the words and the storyline. Unfortunately this is a just read story. To me it is disjointed and not smooth to read at all.

Good Western

Very good classic Western. Lots of action and insight into the mind of a serial killer and outlaw. Caleb has taken on the responsibility for tracking down this vicious outlaw. With the help of an odd posse.

Not up to his standard.

I was really disappointed with this book. The Indians were not realistic. The cowboy went through the entire book without speaking of the name of his female partner. Even after their engagement.Sadly in all they seemed like paper people.
