My fated mate is a beast who’ll destroy me…who’ll ruthlessly use me in his pack’s breeding program.
So, I do the unthinkable. I reject my mate and run from the wolves who stole me from my family. Starving, alone, terrified…if they find me, I’m in a world of trouble. Because I have a secret I’d rather not share – one which makes me valuable among our kind; I’m fertile for any male who takes me. And my savage new mate wants to use me, not just for himself, but for his entire pack…
I run.I run fast, and I run as far as I can.
But escape may not have been the best idea. Turns out that the saying “out of the frying pan into the fire” is true because I’m discovered by an alpha who scares me more than my last captor. But for very different reasons.
Jagger Law is big, mean, and the baddest rogue wolf I’ve ever encountered. He also happens to be the sexiest man I’ve ever laid eyes on. Not that I’m looking too hard because he’s a vicious outcast. A creature who belongs to a pack with no roots and no rules.
Guess what?
Jagger is willing to protect me – but at a price…because nothing in life is free. Why am I so surprised there are strings attached?I hate to admit it, but I need him.
Except Jagger might be the one I need protection from…because it turns out my heart is in more danger than my body."Alpha Bond" is the first in a series of interlinked, but standalone stories featuring bold, sassy heroines and the wolf shifters who are strong enough to handle them. Note that this story is written for mature audiences only.
After two decades as a journalist, B.E. Brouillard made the leap to fiction. It was time to create the dark stories that had lurked in her mind for all those years. Tortured souls, flawed lovers, dysfunctional behavior...her characters are not for the faint-hearted. Having said that, many readers will find common ground with the less-than-perfect heroes of these stories. In spite of a mild case of cynicism, Brouillard remains a staunch romantic - Happily-Ever-Afters are guaranteed.
A child of the global village, Ms. Brouillard loves Paris, Africa, sushi, and champagne. When she's not wordsmithing dark debauchery, she spends time with her beautiful men, their German Shepherds, and her pack of killer ponies. Or drinking martinis with friends.

REVIEW
Good plot. Decent writing. Okay characters. Heavy subject. Average execution. No emotional connect whatsoever. But that could be just me. (Hence the rating.)
I had to work really hard on understanding the world created by this book. There was no clear description, as such, to frame it—everything was shrouded in useless mystery up until the very end. Even then, there was not much known.
The subject of the book talks about sexual assault/harassment and more. I couldn't feel the depth of such an experience in the words that the author chose. I understood it, but did not experience it with the FMC. The characters, themselves, were surface level at best.
Still, the plot stands out. There is a story to unravel. The book holds and grabs your attention. For that, I would recommend a read.
Absolutely cracking great start to a new series. I loved the back stories for the hero and the heroine. His was so sad and really affected his reactions to everyone and drove him to be protective. Hers was a little more sparse, but her beginning proved she was a fighter!! I loved it and look forward to book 2. I received an ARC and this is my honest review
Welcome to Steel Lakes where a pack of outcasts live in an organized and well oiled society. Everyone has a task and Jagger ensures the safety of the pack that took him in when he had nowhere to go and dedicates his whole life to the protection the pack. Enter Sierra, escaped from an abusive situation and rescued by Jagger during one of his reconnaissance shifts. She doesn’t know where she is and how much she can trust these people with her secrets. When Jagger offers her the very same thing she swore never to do she can’t however refuse him because within it may lie the solution to her current situation and the future of her people. New series, new characters but same captivating and gripping writing: Ms Brouillard has a way with words. This book is a standalone but strongly connected to the next one, out in February and I seriously can’t wait.
Sierra was kidnapped from her home and family to be used in an alpha rings breeding program. Sierra escapes but is found by another alpha, Jagger. Can she trust him? Jagger has taken a vow to never take a mate. But can he resist Sierra? Is Sierra safe from the evil bad of alphas she escaped from? This story is dark, dangerous and steamy. Can't wait for the next book!
A simply wonderful read, great characters and wonderful scenario that will captivate readers She has been rejected by her mate and has done the only thing she feels is the best thing to do and so she is in a great deal of trouble as she is hiding a secret and that that make her highly valuable to her own kind but unfortunately not for a reason she wants. She is fertile for any male and is able to to bred by any male and if the secret is revealed it can be used for ulterior motives and this is what initially happens and to save herself she runs as far and as fast as she possibly can. I guarantee that you will love this book it is a captivating read and the characters and the plot has been so well written. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing

I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. I’m not gonna a lie, when I saw the cover I thought “what in the Wattpad” and I immediately went to the reviews, only to see 5 and 4 🌟 ratings and 0 complaints. Which obviously intrigued me. I read the book in one setting and I really enjoyed it. I liked the characters, both FMC and MMC were solid characters. Jagger surprised me with how well he resisted Sierra at first. And I felt so bad for Sierra. Poor girl, also the whole menopause thing due to the implant they put in her? 😭 not gonna lie I was expecting an epilogue where she by some miracle ended up pregnant but that didn’t happen. Which totally makes sense, and I’m not mad about. I liked how the book ended, leaving a perfect opening for book 2. Which I’m 100% gonna read.
Did I like and enjoy he book? Yes, I did. However, there is a but. I knew going in it while be a slow burn, and the spice level would be on the lower side of things. The plot intrigued me, and I took a chance. The spice level was pretty low, and it wasn't quite enemies to lovers either. It just felt like something was missing. I'm not sure maybe more spice. Not to mention, there's no back story on the FMC pack. She just left the fate of them hanging. I also was my a fan of the infertility. I would have liked to see her be able to give him a cub of whatever. I'm not sure if I'm going to read the next book yet, but I will save it on my TBR.
This starts with some*very* big, bad wolves. Definitely not the kind that normally inhabit shifter stories. Fear not, things get back to a semblance of normality pretty quickly. Sierra is on the run from the bad guys & finds herself taken in by a stable community but knows the threat isn't over.
It's good fun once it gets going properly. I did find myself getting very frustrated with Sierra over her reluctance to speak up about one particular thing. No, I'm not going to give the info out here. You'll just have to read the book yourself!!
This was a very enjoyable story and a great start to a new series! My heart went out to Jagger and Sierra for what they’ve both been through. They’re both caring and strong individuals and I loved watching their relationship grow. I can’t wait to see where Gage and Savanna’s story takes us! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
This is my first book by this author, and I'm looking forward to Gage and Savanah's story. I enjoyed Sierra and Jagger's book! I loved fated mates, and this story has an intriguing twist on the werewolf lines.
If you love paranormal, fated mates, and slow burn, then you don't want to miss out on this book.
The switch is too abrupt. They went from despair to everything is perfect and I found the transition jarring. I liked the characters well enough, though finding out Jagger's celibacy was conditional was another uncomfortable note for me. I don't know that I'm invested enough to continue in the series.
Alpha Bond by B.E. Brouillard Overall Score ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heat Level 🔥🔥🔥
I hate adulting sometimes. I would have finished this book in a day if it wasn't for having to adult. I absolutely loved it! I think this is her best story to date!
I really liked this shifter/fake matinf romance. Poor Sienna had a rough go. Luckily, Jagger found her. He had his own issues, but together they made the perfect pair.
Exciting. What Seirra goes through and deals with is aw inspiring. Jagger is a protective kind of guy. Put these two together and you get steam. All I want to do is yell at Seirra to tell them the truth. There is danger lurking. This was a good read.
This is another unique take on wolf shifters. I found the concept intriguing and the characters are very well written. I love this author and I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.
The book was really good until the end. A lot of questions left with no answers. Did they go back to see if her family was still alive? Was she able to have kids? I hate when authors don’t finish a book before starting the next.
There is nothing better than a new series that you know you’re going to love right from the start. Sierra is running from her supposed mate & his pack of thugs who are determined to make her into their breeding wolf. She is seriously in need of help & luckily she is found by Jagger Law who has his own back storyline. I have to say that when you hear the name Jagger Law you just know he is going to be a hot hero! Loved the book, loved the characters & world building, can’t wait for the next one
3.5 stars This book felt dystopian instead of paranormal which is good because it draws you in! This a wolf shifter book with a cool take on mates and an amazing MMC
This was fun. Somehow serious and easy at the same time. I liked when she bashed in his head. Of course he lives because he's the bad guy and this is book 1…
