Leif and Nina are unwittingly tangled in Devlin’s plot, which has become entwined with the enigmatic woman who only goes by “C”.

Hidden away in a dusty attic, Charlotte uncovers a carefully concealed legacy that changes everything she and Devlin have ever known.

Two families, bound by unlikely love and a centuries old feud, find themselves thrust into a battle between good and evil, where ancient secrets stir and destinies intertwine.

Who can be trusted? Who should be feared? After all, things are not always as they seem…

Oh man. This plot was like a mystery/thriller mixed in with romance and all the paranormal species that kept popping up in a human town. I wasn’t ready for all of the maneuvers and behind the scenes strings that were being pulled in this. The scales kept tipping back and forth, and the game was a long slow burn. There was a lot of world building, as this was the first in a series.

In town, there are two founding families that have been arch enemies since the town began. Add in that it is a magical hot spot due to the magic in the mountains, and is it no surprise that nonhumans start showing up. But some of those nonhumans are in a life or death battle, and the humans get caught up in it. Will they be able to survive a supernatural war?

Thank you to Sunny Babe PR for the copy, all thoughts are my own.

This was such an amazing read! I absolutely loved this supernatural drama. At first it took me a minute to get into the layout of the story and keep all of the characters straight, but once I got past that I was completely sucked in. I read most of this book in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. This book had the perfect mix of romance and paranormal elements. There was a lot going on, but it was done in such a great way.

Read this if you like:
♦️Multiple POV
♦️Soap Operas
♦️Family Feuds
♦️Evil Twins
♦️Vampires, Witches, & Demons
♦️Forbidden Love
♦️Enemies to Lovers

I really can’t say enough good things about this book, definitely grab a copy once it comes out.

This one was a fun read! It definitely is as described, and is like reading a soap opera. There are so many characters and subplots to follow, and so many tropes occur with just about the same level of drama— but make it paranormal, Witches, demons, evils twins, vampire, you name it. I will say be sure to read it directly, and not just listen to it (spoken content) because it can get confusing because of all the POV changes. Also it’s spicy too! And with multiple couplings instead of just a main one. If you’ve ever seen Jane the Virgin and liked it, and then you will like this one too, as it is along the same vein in terms of outlandish plot because it’s a soap opera.

Thank you Sunny Babe PR and the author for the copy!

this was my introduction to the fantasy/supernatural genre and i think it's safe to say i'm a big fan and excited to get more into it🌟
i'll admit i was a bit skeptical but it didn't disappoint at all!

if i were to describe it in one word, it would be chaos😂

there was always something happening which was crazy but so good at the same time because it kept me hooked and interested to read more - especially with the chapters ending almost always with a cliffhanger🕷

there were so many twists and many that i didn't even see coming and i honestly think it would make a really good netflix series😂

i'll admit i was sometimes a bit lost with all the different characters (charlotte is my baby🌹) and plotlines/flashbacks but overall it was really interesting and fun🥀
i loved discovering all the mysteries, relationships and heartbreaks.. just maybe check the trigger warnings before deciding to dive into it!!

i'd rate this a 4,25/5🌟 and 3/5🌶!!

This was 600 pages of straight up drama!! And I loved every bit of it lol.

Think pretty little liars/gossip girl meets vampires & demons.

It’s family versus family. Secret love affairs. Vampires. Demi-demons. IT WAS JUST DRAMA. That’s all I can say.

I love that even though this is in 3rd person, you get EVERY characters POV (and there is a lot)… however this book is SO easy to follow. Not once was I confused about where the plot was while I was reading.

This was just so much fun to read. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
And who I thought was gonna be together in the beginning… was not who was together in the end. AND I LOVE IT.

Wow—this one took me a minute to get through, and I mean that in the best way. The level of detail in this book was incredible, and every shift in perspective brought a whole new setting to life. The writing felt like I was watching a soap opera unfold—dramatic, immersive, and totally captivating.
I genuinely enjoyed this story. The characters were well-developed, full of depth, and easy to connect with. If you're a fan of 90s or early 2000s soap operas, this book will absolutely hit the spot.

That said, I’d recommend checking the trigger warnings before diving in—some themes may be sensitive for certain readers. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get my hands on book two!

~ ARC READ ~

Thank you @sunnybabepr and @nomipalmerauthor for this ARC.

There is so much going on in this book. Love, hate, vampires, demons, witches... 🩸🧪
In the beginning I couldn't really follow. There are so many characters and POV's. I really had to focus while reading. Once I got my head wrapped around it, I wasn't able to put the book down. The book is around 600 pages, but it didn't feel like it. I really loved the forbidden love in this book. It gave me some Romeo and Julliete vibes.

The book is out TODAY!

This book was exactly as described. Soap opera drama with supernatural elements. I had to keep reading to know what was going to happen, but I found I wasn't as big of a fan of the constant back and forth flipping between characters.

This book reads like a Supernatural Telenovela! There is passion, family feud, secrets, forbidden love… Just so much that really adds to the drama of this read. And as I am one for loving some chisme, I could not put it down until I knew what was going on in this whirlwind of intense feelings (pun very well intended).

I must admit that getting into this book at first really almost had me giving up. It has been YEARS since I’ve read a third person story with SO MANY POVs. It can really be too much and at time I needed to double check whom’s side of the story was I reading. But it is a very easy read and it is even easier to get sucked into the drama of it all.

My favorite character dynamics were Devlin and Nina and I think I enjoyed reading Nina the most. But overall character dynamics were a 10/10. The way their dialogue and interactions really mapped out the entire story and helped it unravel. Their vibes and backstories were really well outlined.

When it came down to the mystery, although it was fun to follow along some things were easy to figure out and predicable. I wasn't really surprised about the outcomes or the big reveals. Still, that doesn't take away from the fact that it was a fun read.

I received this ARC so generously in exchange for my honest opinion and review, thank you for the chance to read this absolute SOAP OPERA. Thank you @sunnybabepr and @nomipalmerauthor!

“𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒏! 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔. 𝑺𝒐 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒆. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔.”

What happens when you mix a family feud, some forbidden love, and magic in the mountains? Toss in a heaping spoonful of all the drama and wooooowza. There’s love, hate, plotting, revenge, forgiveness, supernatural and so much more.

⛰️🌊🧛🏻‍♀️🪦🧙🏻‍♀️

Truly, I loved this. It took me a while to get into - there’s a lot of characters and a lot of plot lines. I’m usually a dual POV first person kinda gal, so once I got the relationships and history in my head, I couldn’t put this down (for real, I think the first quarter of the book took me three days, and the remainder was a few hours). The third person took a bit of getting used to, but that’s really a personal “issue” if you will! The relationships are beautifully written. The dialogue was SO accurate for how I imagined the characters acting at points. While it’s not a spicy book, the few spicy scenes were INCREDIBLY well written. When a book makes me go back and forth on if I like or don’t like a character, who I’m rooting for, who I want gone, I know I’m into it. This was a happy level of fantasy/supernatural for me - an important plot point, but it wasn’t overwhelming.

I loved this so much. So so much.

If you want a dramatic story full of twists and turns and supernatural beings, this one’s for you.

Immersive and captivating, this book weaves a mesmerizing tale of dark and supernatural allure. The author’s skillful storytelling breathes new life into the genre, creating a world where vampires and witches are both enigmatic and relatable. With rich character development and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat, it’s a must-read for any fan of paranormal fiction. This book is written in the POV of multiple characters which might take a bit to wrap your head around but it is worth it!

Well, that was… something. I’m still trying to gather my thoughts.

Ok, I’m back after thinking about this book for a few days. Honestly, how do you create a book that *is* a soap opera?!?? Completely in awe with what Nomi has created. 💜

💕 There’s a lot going on, lots of characters, lots of POV jumping (which I really enjoyed), lots of drama. SO much drama! It really did feel like a soap opera, and was a super fun read. Go get a copy if you’re into paranormal romance with a heavy dose of drama and OMG/WTF moments. I won’t spoil anything, but honestly, so many times I had to stop and think WTF just happened?!?!

📺 It really did feel like you were watching a soap opera. Who knew you could do that with a book?! 🤯

Intense Feelings by Nomi Palmer is the first book in The Passions Series. This was a rollercoaster of a book and I loved every minutes of it!!!

The book has multi POV's but it is so easy to follow. There is a family secret, mistaken Identity, her brother's rival, forbidden love and one bed tropes. There is so much happening it gives off Soap opera vibes. There is hate, love, deception, oats, betrayal, friendships, found family, paranormal charters and a few spicy scenes. The book has everything and more. Although this is the first book in the series it ended with no cliffhanger. This part of the story feels complete and the book is already out.

[ 4,5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS ]

Thank you so much @sunnybabepr and @nomipalmerauthor for given me the oportunity to read and review this arc ✨️
Soapy romances are something that I truly hold-dear in my heart, maybe 'cause in my house we like to watch telenovelas (the hispanic equivalent of soap operas 'cause yes, i'm latina and i love a good drama with people crying and hearts breaking) thanks to my grandmama. So, when I read on the synopsis that this story was going to have that kind of vibe (plus paranormal witchy vibes, which I love) I got so excited and apply for the arc. This book, at least for me, it's like Romeo & Juliet meets Twilight and Hocus Pocus. And that's everything I love.

Eventhough it started pretty messy, with a lot of information been given and a lot of characters being introduced, the story is catchy and after a couple of pages it's pretty easy to get fully into the plot. This one's a pretty atmospheric story, the environment in which the characters move it's fundamental and it felt like another character all along the plot (Tourmaline has life for itself, it's such a magical place with this weirdly enchanting vibes). Writing style's simple and good paced, with a pretty nice rythm, but I would've loved to see a little bit more into some characters relationships, like those stolen moments of conversation and introspection, more construction. but aside from that, everything's fine for the type of story that we're reading with this soapy vibe.

I have to praise the dialogue, 'cause it felt very natural, and the backstories. Also, the smut was SO good. Girl, Iwas looking forward for that moment and when it came I was giggling of pure happiness. The ending is divided into two aspects: the final fight with the villain was unexpected and I did not perceive that it was easy, and this is something I want to highlight about this story. The path to fight the villain, to reach the final resolution, was complicated and highly examined (excellent here, because I really suffered and felt the same insecurity of the characters). Now, the other part of this ending was soap opera-esque and I loved it, because I love soap opera endings.

Characters turned out to be SO good, with a lot of development and evolution throughout the whole story, specially Devlin (my man, I adore him). Let me get into a little detail here;
📌 Devlin and Nina were my favorites aside from Charlotte and Chloe (she's an awesome character btw). Loved their dynamic and the way their story unravelled. The vibes and backstories were pretty good outlined and I was so invested on them.
📌 Leif was my least favorite character, but I think I just didn't connect with him the way I connected with Devlin (I like the dark-bad guy-traumatized ones, sorry, now I live for Deblin Ainsworth and Noah Ashby). BUT I adored his development and his ending.
📌 Calista and Eden were a whole mystery, surprised me a lot of times during the storyline and I loved their part during the development of the plot.
📌 Jay and Harlow were good, but not that memorable for me at least. Also, I loathe Alistair (but that was the goal I guess).

Now, you must be wondering why if I liked it that much I gave it 4.5 starts and not 5 stars, the answer's easy: There is a plot hole that for me, throughout the story, and it is the fact of the woman who calls herself "C." It were a mystery? Yes, because of the way of proceeding, but not really because of identity.

Aside from that, everything in this story is wonderful. So, if you're looking for a soapy romance with a lot of drama and emotional suffering, this one's for you!

WOW was this a wild ride. And I kind of loved it. Really loved it, actually. I wrote “what is happening” in my notes several times, but in like a good way. So many intense and crazy things happen in this small town, and it’s quite a trip!

Intense Feelings is the first in The Passions series. It is a supernatural romantic drama with some serious soap opera vibes, packed with drama, a generational family feud, demons, vampires, witches, romance and spice, and very intense feelings, indeed.

When I picked this up, I did not expect it to be a nearly 600 page book, at all. And to my surprise, it didn’t read like one either! It was consistently fast-paced and engaging. And even though the chapters were long, each one is packed with so many twists and turns and new events that feed into the overarching plot that I didn't even notice their length. I couldn’t stop reading!

Also, there were SO. MANY. CHARACTERS. Like, guys, there is a cast list of characters at the beginning, which I loved because it was so helpful to refer to early on. And nearly every single one has a POV at some point, written in third person. The craziest part about it though? I was never lost. Not even once! This story was so well-written! And not a single one of my “wtf is happening”s was because I didn’t know what was going on, but rather out of pure shock at the events unfolding before me. Color me impressed! And all the characters were great too. There was not one character that I didn’t enjoy reading the POV of. Each character served a purpose and drove the plot forward in some way.

What to expect
✧ multiple third-person POVs
✧ soap opera vibes
✧ vampires, witches, and demons
✧ forbidden love
✧ lots of drama
✧ low spice, but quality
✧ longer chapters
✧ blood + gore*
✧ baby drama*

*please check trigger warnings guys!

Overall, I seriously enjoyed this one! It was fast-paced, intense, and full of plot twists and delicious drama. Lovers of all things supernatural and soap operas will eat this up, and I’m excited to see what Nomi delivers next in The Passions series!

Different, But In A Good Way

Quote:📖
“Don’t tell me I’m not in love with you,”

Thoughts: 💡
The writing style in this one was a bit of a new experience for me. There were multiple POV shifts in each chapter which were clearly marked and easy to follow. So even though the chapters were longer they had a shorter feel because it felt like multiple little chapters in a longer episode. And I do mean episode. With the story jumping between POVs so often we get several different story lines in each scene that are quasi related to work together to build a clearer picture of the story.
The characters were also really interesting and pulled on my heart strings. There were some very clear characters to hate but there were multiple that were just deeply misunderstood and as the story developed further and created a clearer picture my heart broke for them.
Everything about the characters and the plot was dramatic, but it was done in a way that I enjoyed. The drama was naturally built through the characters' interactions and story lines, and the author described it well. There was an occasional info dump, but the story relayed in the info dump was interesting and felt more like an episode recap than an overload of world building.
All said and done I would recommend this one to people that liked shows like The Vampire Diaries, True Blood, The Secret Circle, and Gossip Girl.

The author describes this as a soap opera and after reading it I really do think that’s the most accurate interpretation of what it’s like to read this book. All the characters are all important people in some way – very rich or successful people only, please. They all have swanky apartments and dine at exclusive restaurants. I guess plot lines involving people who have to get up for work in the morning would have to move a lot slower, but these characters don’t seem to suffer any repercussions from being off work for weeks at a time.

And also like a soap opera they just… careen from disaster to danger and back again. A lot happens in this story. There is even an evil twin!

Now add vampires, demons, and witches.

This isn’t deep literature, but it was a lot of fun to read. I’m an absolute dope for the misunderstood bad boy and the “good guy” who is actually kind of an asshole. (But never fear, he also gets his redemption arc.) The actual villain of the story gets their just reward and everybody lives happily ever after.

And if you like a little smut in your romance – Palmer does not shy away from the sex scenes.

All together a fun, fast read and I wold recommend it if that’s what you’re in the mood for.

✨ARC REVIEW✨

Intense Feelings is the first book in the Passion Series. How can I describe this book? The best way is… Two pair of siblings (Leif and Nina and Devlin and Charlotte) involved in a family feud dating back years finally hits the fan and wraps everybody involve with them down for the ride.

As I was reading about the book to find the correct words to describe it, I found the following words: “𝘈 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘢𝘱 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘴, 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘍𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘢…” and I could not have agreed any more. First, this book is narrated with the POV of multiple characters, so it may take a minute to wrap your head around it. Once you do though, is a roller coaster ride. This book started from the first page with the plots twists and the action and it doesnt let up until the end. The way the author wrote this book was very intriguing to me in a way that had me wanting to continue reading just to see what happens next. Just when you think you would get answers, it would jump to another POV and let you hanging just to find more action and plot twists in the next POV. Warning though… this book is a thick baby with over 600 pages, but it is 600 pages full of drama and supernatural and paranormal elements.

I want to thank Sunnybabepr and Nomi Palmer for providing me with an ARC of this book.

A soapy, supernatural romance novel…. Okay you’ve got my attention @nomipalmer. Thank you @sunnybabepr for the opportunity to read this ARC!!

I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent person, but when you give me a book that has 20+ characters, ya gotta give me a minute. Just like a soap opera (ahh flashback to me rushing home after school to watch Days of Our Lives)… there are so many characters and story lines happening all at once. I can successfully say that at the end, I was at least aware of who was who.

I think it’s safe to say this started as a slow burn, but then picked up nicely. There were so many good tropes to choose from so where do we begin?: One bed, family feud, forbidden love, vampires & demons… the story was catchy and once it got going, I was hooked. Think the OC meets Vampire Diaries; two of my forever faves. Overall I really enjoyed this and recommend it if you’re looking for something out of your comfort zone. The chapters were long, but my spoiled ass adjusted. I loved the ending as it closed the storylines, but left it open for the next one. I’ll be waiting. 4⭐️

⚠️CAUTION: this book may cause a lot of INTENSE FEELINGS⚠️

I had no idea what to expect going into this read, and this was a wild ride! I’ll say the first 25% of the book I was kind of disoriented with all the character names and figuring out who was doing what. This is an ensemble cast in book form, described as a soap opera vibes. To me it was giving 90s Cruel Intentions movie mixed with all the Pennyroyal Green books (minus the historical element) plus Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Somewhere between 40% and 50% all the individual characters and storylines came together and I couldn’t put this down.

There are rival families, established founding families of the town, mysterious new comers, someone gets shot, there is vengeance, there is history between enemies, enemies to lovers, paranormal, sacrifices for love, mystery and murder. It is SO MUCH!

If you want a multi-character storyline with everything I just described, this is for you. And steam, did I mention steam? There are several couples to track, so buckle up!

Thank you to Sunny Babe PR for the ARC. All thoughts/opinions are my own, and my review is voluntary.

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Paranormal Soap Opera
Multiple POV - Multiple Couples

This is a paranormal soap opera…if you’ve never seen a soap opera there are multiple story lines, lots of characters and lots of drama. Intense Feelings does not disappoint! It took a hot minute to get into the flow of the book and get the characters sorted. Once you figure it out the story is great! This was my first read in this genre and I loved it!

If you like family feuds, forbidden love, vamps, witches and demons, secrets and so much drama you won’t be disappointed!

Author Synopsis:
Two families, bound by unlikely love and a centuries old feud, find themselves thrust into a battle between good and evil, where ancient secrets stir and destinies intertwine.

Who can be trusted? Who should be feared? After all, things are not always as they seem…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ – Raw, Real, and Beautifully Messy

Intense Feelings by Nomi Palmer totally lives up to its name. This book hits hard—in the best way. It’s honest, emotional, and doesn’t hold back when it comes to exploring love, heartbreak, and everything in between. You can really feel the vulnerability in Palmer’s writing, and it makes the whole experience feel super personal, like reading someone’s private journal (but way more poetic).

I really like how she intertwines so many different stories so seamlessly - namely the dramatic Ainsworth’s and Callaghan’s. There were moments that absolutely floored me—in the best way possible. The writing is bold (eg. everything that Chloe does to poor Devlin), but not overdone. I did find multiple stories per chapter a bit much to keep track of and focus on, but overall the book is so well written.

If you’re in your feelings or just want something that speaks to the messy, complicated parts of being human (or paranormal, non-human, etc), this is it. Definitely recommend.

I will not lie, I did not know anything about what this book was about. The beginning had a lot of information to take in and it was difficult to understand all the information while my three screaming children and my husband’s football game blaring in the background. But once you get past the introduction of all the information, you will not be able to put the book down!

I literally binged this book and fell in love with everything single character, well except for Chloe and Mr. Ainsworth.

Devlin, such a damaged soul who is actually very very kind hearted. Anyone will be able to fall in love with him. I was intrigued with each character, but mainly I wanted to focus all my energy on Devlin. The hurt this man encounters, literally hurt my soul and I needed to know if he would be okay.

This book needs to be in your TBR like yesterday, and I hope everyone who gets to read this book loves it as much as I did.

Danger lurks in the shadows.
An eerie energy that defies explanation crackles in the air.

Not knowing what to expect, it took me quite a while to really get sucked into this story. The book starts out quite vague, with lots of characters, names and storylines, making it kind of hard to keep up. Not getting a grip on Devlin, Charlotte, Leif, Nina, Noah, Eden, Callista and Chloe’s stories kind of frustrated me to be honest, but….

while the book starts out a bit slow, I found myself gradually starting to care for the characters one by one. Palmer manages to weave together the stories of all het characters with masterfull skill, while throwing in some plot twists here and there, keeping the reader hungry (you’ll get it) for more.

This book is prove that sometimes starting out slow and vague, stories can grow to mystical, magical proportion trying to defeat the evil in life, and then…… have a wholesome ending, that will warm your heart

First off wow wow wow, no words to explain how much I enjoyed this book.

The feud between the Ainsworth’s and Callaghan’s had went on since the beginning but it only takes the next generation to switch things up. Leif never liked Devlin, being the problem boys of the family. While Nina and Charlotte, being the more loving between the two families, never understood the feud.
It all started to change after a very eventful birthday party.

The twist and turns this book gave me had me on the edge of my seat. In the very best way!! I wish there was more I can’t wait for the next one. I was so happy to get an early copy of this I knew it would be good!

Spice level is just right. Not too much yet not too little.

Hold on to your seats while you read this story because you’re gunna need something to clutch onto before you throw something across the room. (I almost did)

Enemies to lovers, Vamps, Witches, Demi-demons and more. Perfect read for a spooky night.

The title of this book was very fitting and I love the series name too! Passions is one of my favorite soap operas and it was just as wild as this book is.
This book is long but it doesn’t feel like it, it was very fast paced. It sucked me in very quickly and held my attention. I read it over a couple of days because like the title implies, things got intense.
I loved all the different characters and romantic relationships, plus the different magical beings. This was a very plot heavy book with a few spicy scenes that were pretty hot. There are so many twists and turns that I had no idea what was going to happen next at any point in the story. There were a couple difficult moments in the story that caused me to get emotional.
I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to continue the series. I love how everyone’s story ended, everyone got what they deserved. I loved who the couples ended up being in the end.

This is a really interesting take on a paranormal romance with a very large cast of characters. All the characters were really well fleshed out and played important parts in progressing the story.

There was a lot of character development that saw the characters grow and overcome obstacles and set aside past grievances. There was plenty of tension and action to keep things interesting and the story moving forward quickly.

Really enjoyed reading this, the only thing that kept it from being 5⭐️ (I rated it 4.5⭐️ on Fable, but round up the ratings elsewhere) was that character changes occurred too frequently in my opinion.

Most of the characters experienced hea, with it hinted at others potentially having theirs in the future as well. The ending doesn’t leave countless questions and felt completed, which was a nice change after several that I have read this year.

I received this book from the author, Nomi Palmer, in exchange for a review.
