Atilla Bloodworth, Ravenwood's formidable king and a contentious figure in the Otherworld, faces a challenge to his reign from Dragomir Darkling, the ousted heir hungry for power. To maintain his rule, Atilla must temper his notorious wrath and strategic misdeeds to prevent a rebellion that could install Dragomir in his place.
This task is daunting for Atilla, a centuries-old vampire entangled in a volatile search for his mate, aware that Dragomir will leverage his fierce reputation against him. Traditional duels have given way to political maneuvers, requiring them to present their cases before Isolde Blackfire, the influential Queen of the Witches.
Upon entering Castle Blackfire, Atilla's world alters dramatically; he senses his mate, Amara Grimspell, a powerful witch concealed in the human world to evade this very destiny. Despite the magnetic pull and her recent discovery of their bond, Amara is wary of Atilla's volatile nature, fearing the consequences of their union.
Faced with her mother's cautions and the undeniable urge to connect, Amara grapples with the perilous allure of her destined mate, Atilla, making their inevitable encounter a fraught yet irresistible dance of fate.
Matilda is a Texas girl in love with a Philly boy who loves to write dirty books about two people who trip into love and fumble their way into a Filthy, Funny, Happily Ever After.
I live in Austin, with my husband, two crazy Chihuahuas and an even crazier cat. And I spend most of my day writing dirty romance books about older men who fall in love with younger women and make fools of themselves trying to win their hearts.
If you love Dark Romance, you’ve come to the wrong place. I don’t like dark heroes.
I like my hero to be successful, sweet, suave, sophisticated and kind--- and then I want him to lose all his composure and game when he meets the heroine. I want him to turn into a bumbling idiot when he spots the girl of his dreams and revert to a teenage boy in a man’s body trying to win her.
I like my heroines to be witty, intelligent, and unshakeable---who could do just as well without a man—until the hero convinces her otherwise.
I write A LOT OF AGE GAP--because I LOVE AGE GAP ROMANCE. I’ve got no other excuse for it.
No matter what kind of story it is, my ladies are ADORED, and my endings are always Happily EVER AFTER, not HFN.
Step into Otherworld, a realm where monsters thrive in places like Ravenwood, Phantom Falls, Moonlit Hollow, Shadowhaven, Mystic Grove, the Whispering Pine Forest, and the Spectral Sea. In this extraordinary realm, creatures like vampires actively engage in politics, while an orc family oversees a centuries-old security business, safeguarding the boundaries between humans and the otherworldly domains. ✅Revamp: Atilla and Amara’s story - 4⭐⭐⭐⭐ - spin off "Mated to the Monster" ❌Demon Seed: Vesper’s story - May 27, 2024 ❌The Beast in Me: Nysa’s story - June 26, 2024 ❌His Dark Soul: Lavinia’s Story - July 24, 2024
In this rich and vibrant tapestry of gloom, monsters mingle in a delicate dance of mystery and wonder. Wolves and vampires coexist harmoniously unless a spark reignites their ancient feud. Witches are formidable and revered and demons get on everyone's nerves. Otherworld introduces you to a diverse array of inhabitants, from krakens and mermaids to warlocks, dragons, faes, minotaurs, nymphs, and a handful of lost humans hoping to find their way back home.
Good story. Something different from this writer, I loved it & already can't wait to read the next one. Attila was a dark vicious Alpha King begrudgingly went to the castle after being summoned by the Queen but something inside him changed when he got there. Amara didn't know why she'd been summoned home by her mother the Queen but she soon found out it had to do with her mate being Attila, she knew how bad he was so did as her mother said & stay away. However, when she saw him the reaction to her mate was instant & she could see he felt the same. We got to see a stronger version of Amara when she'd met her mate but I wasn't sure if she was strong enough to stand up to her mother. I'm looking forward to reading Nerissa's story.

Attila is a vampire and Amara is a witch. He is known as an unforgiving and severe ruler, she is the youngest and very protected daughter of the queen. Fate however has made them mates and when they finally meet, their bond is everything. I enjoyed watching Amara become the strong force to be reckoned with that she was and how she stood up for her mate. For his part Attila was the perfect amount of grump for my liking.
This was a departure from Matilda’s usual age gap romances and was nevertheless an entertaining read from start to finish. I really enjoyed this one and am giving 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗠𝗣 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!
This is an awesome start of a new PNR series. A world with witches, warlocks, vampires, politics and twists and turns. Amara is the youngest daughter of the ruling queen in the realm. She lived in the human world and is now back home, when she finds out who her fated mate is. Attila is the vampire king and when he gets summoned to the Queen's Court..... He is kind of sour about it. But everything changes when he finally meets his mate Amara. But the scheming queen threatens their HEA, but Amara won't stand for it. Can't wait to read what happens next 😍😍 Fated mates, PNR, with twists and turns, magic creatures , secrets and with a sweet HEA 😍😍😍😍 can't wait to read Narissas story next👍
A Perfect Book One of a New Supernatural Romance. A romance between Attila the king of a Vampire kingdom, and Amara, witch royalty. They are fated mates but will forces win out in preventing their union or will they overcome all obstacles to realize their fate? Highly recommending the book one and am looking forward to the remaining storylines in the series. I’m expecting a few surprises along the way. PEACE.

Atilla is over five hundred years old and has not met his mate, when he was requested to see the Queen of the Witches, the fates played their hand.
Amara had been sent to the human world to keep her safe, or that was what she was told. Now home, her family is warning her way what the fates want together.
Atilla and Amara have strong connection, that is intense from the moment they meet. Soon they realize not all is what it should be.
Great read and was perfect for a sunny afternoon escape.

Atilla has waited for his mate for 5 centuries and when he finally finds her, obstacles are thrown to keep them separated. Amara, was summoned to return home, only to be forewarned of her mate to be a vicious vampire king but to find your fated mate is a rare special occasion if only her mother would step aside. It was short and entertaining.

Revamp is Attila and Amara's vampire/witch HEA. Attila has been searching for five centuries for his fated mate. He's resigned himself to the fact that his wicked ways may have taken her away forever never to be his. Amara is welcomed home from the human world with shocking news. Her parents knew of her mate but had her stay away so they wouldn't meet. Once they do no one can keep them apart... It was really good! I love a good vampire read and this one was sweet and smexy.
Matlida Martel is one of those authors I can depend on if I need a short novella to read in just about any genre. I was in the mood for vampires this time, and at only 83 pages—it was perfect! I love fated mates. Attila is the King, and it just so happens his mate is a witch who is also royalty. “Revamp” was on the lower side of the spice scale than some of Martel’s other stories, but there still is spice.
This was an okay fated mates romance. It was a short story with a fast pace and to me it was too rushed. It had a lot going on and the story got a bit muddled. I liked how Amara and Attila was portrayed but I felt like their bonding and relationship almost took a backseat to the all the other things going on and that was a shame.

Loved the intrigue and the many other intricacies that went into this story. Liked how this goes into many aspects of the unexplainable, yet it has the same underlying of double crossed and the obsession with power from all sides. Also, the interference of parents no matter what species, when protecting their daughters.

Attila is a vampire king whose reign is being called into question. Amara is a witch and youngest daughter of the queen. When Attila is called to the palace urgently to discuss the attempt to dethrone him he and Amara meet. They both know they are fated mates! Hot, steamy story with amazing chemistry, suspense, romance, twists and turns and a wonderful HEA.

Attila is a 5oo year old vampire King who is being challenged for his throne. Amara is a witch and Atilla's fated mate. I loved these two characters and reading about all the obstacles they go through to get their HEA. From the well written and page turing story to the captivating characters and great ending this is a fantastic start to the Otherworld series. I look forward to reading the rest of this intriguing series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

As an avid reader of Matilda this one is not her normal genre. It is a well written paranormal romance about a vampire and a witch. The characters had me invested even though I normally don't enjoy vampire books, I did enjoy this one!.

A sweet yet intense paranormal romance between Atilla and Amara. A vampire and a witch, destined by fate to be eternal mates. Atilla needs her just as much as she needs him. Yet it seems that forces are trying to keep them apart. I loved Amara coming into her own with Atilla by her side. A fun read!

This was an intriguing series opener and I loved Atilla and Amara. These two are fated mates, both royalty, but subject to power plays and parental interference. This story felt more of a set up for the series and I'm definitely hooked on what will come next ;)
Very well written, author really captured the broody mood of the world she is building. I agree with others the MC's could have spent more page time together but the world building took time. I'll definitely read the next one.
This book was a little confusing in some aspects. There were a lot of characters and honestly it was hard to connect with any of them. They weren’t very loveable characters. Just didn’t connect with it.
