I literally love this series. I read the first three books in 24 hours. Legit consumed by it. It starts of similar to ACOTAR but then completely throws you for a loop. Not only do we have a morally gray shadow daddy, we have a morally gray shadow QUEEN! I’m living for these characters. My second TikTok recommended book and I’m so glad I bought the omnibus! There were moments I had to put the book down and take stock of the actual world around me bc I felt at times my heart was ripped from my chest. Take that as you wish. Highly recommend.
2.3 ⭐️ I’m going to keep this short; This story is pretty boring and bad. There are some moments—tiny ones—that I enjoyed. Would I recommend just because of these fun moments? No. Was it my fault I read the omnibus instead of the books separately? Probably. But it still feels way too long and there is no real goal or plot, it’s more like events happening.
The writing and story-building was and is bad but I liked the simple concept or idea. However, everything is just put so weirdly. I don’t know the premise of the world, all they really give is that there are fae, witches, and humans. Then out of nowhere, we suddenly have a Dragon (I did skim read though so I might’ve missed something… idk). There was also so much repetition. Whether it be the writing, relationships, characters, etc.
The end was kind of random and definitely bad. There was no real “villain”. And while I did understand why Malachi died the first time; there was absolutely no reason for him to die the second time. Especially so close to the ending; he was obviously going to live.
They built Jade and Malachi’s relationship to be some sort of symbiotic existence; they could not live without each other. On the topic of their “romance”—which is probably the only reason the author has written this book(although I don’t want to assume; only if they did). Which is pretty sad because not only were they kind of mediocre in their fantasy writing, their romance was so lifeless. Plus the fact they were “made for each other” puts me off even more. That is NOT a love story. Their relationship would take one step forward and proceed to take 2 steps back. I mean, in the end they do solve their problems with each other, get through their emotions, and end up loving each other. However, while there probably is love I think the most of it is the acceptance—which could be a part of what love is but I don’t know 🤷.
In conclusion, this book was not worth it. Actually, the only reason I have this book in the first place is because of TikTok and the fact that it was on a discount AND signed. It sounded like a deal. But what Is the point of a discounted book if it is not to my tastes? It is like buying something for the sake of cheapness rather than the quality or necessity or want.

3.25 stars,, if i see the word saints one more time i might cry. it's predictable, the characters were inconsistent at the beginning, and every other word (stg) is saints. it has potential to be better because the plot is alright. overall it's not awful though.
Could not tell if this book was written by a dementia addled grandma or a child that has a short memory. Plot inconsistencies, the characters were very wishy washy with their feelings saying they felt one way and then were kissing and then touching each other the next. Also feels like a copy of ACOTAR and not a good one at that.
Enjoyed this read even though the development and build up of characters & their situations seemed very fast. There were times I was confused about character reactions or felt maybe the reaction was off compared to the info given thus far.
I got about halfway through this Omnibus and even that was a chore.
This book DRAGGED. The storyline was all over the place. The character development felt rushed and a lot of times I felt SO CONFUSED on what was going on.
I am DNF'ing this here. I have absolutely no interest in sludging through this book to finish. I am surprised I got as far as I did.
I liked the first two books and most of the third. Trials of Saints and Glory was probably my favorite of the series. Fun, easy reading. Some editing errors here and there (wrong pronouns, grammar issues) but not the worst in this genre. My biggest qualm came with the ending (spoilers ahead) - felt like it was all leading up to this big war and Malachi was going to be the reason Jade fell into her darkness etc and then within three chapters the battle is done, the Saints are cool with their relationship and peace rules the land. Felt like a lot of build up for a very quick unsatisfying climax.
Overall average rating is 4.15 Book 1- i'll give 5 Book 2- i'll give 3.5 Book 3- i'll give 4 Book 4- i'll give 4.5 Book 5- i'll give 3.75
This series was truly amazing! The first book really had me hooked from the get go. I admit it kind of lost me a bit going further but it wasn't awful. While the premise was a romance with Jade being married off to Malachi, this story became so much more than just a forced marriage situation. To me personally, the romance was less important to the story. I was more intrigued with the worldbuilding and the characters and the underlying political motivations.
I think what I read (or started reading, because I could not finish it, even though I make a point to finish what I started, even if it is a really bad book - the best example being that I forced myself through even 50 shades...) was not a fantasy novel but a badly executed first draft of a 14-16 year old for her "how to write for dummies" class. And the book is in desperate need of an editor, or at least someone who does not talk like a teenager. I managed to drag on until chapter 9 but got gradually more and more annoyed. The 2nd DNF of my life
what can I say about this series...first I love it was an omnibus but low key pissed that it will only count as one book on my count when it's 5. I loved to hear through Mal and Jades story. the different perspectives were interesting. I do wish as the reader wr got more from malachi point of view from his past but overall I would recommend this 5 book series. very limited spice and pretty much all close door type writing. the hond they share though was interesting.

Arranged marriages. He’s far, she’s human. Touch her and die. World building is minimal so nothing too crazy to try to follow. Closed door scenes so 🫑 not 🌶️. I appreciated this aspect. I don’t need the gory details. Lots of action. Hidden magic. Just a great palette cleanser after zodiac academy. There were some lot twists that definitely got me that I appreciated. I appreciated the whole series was only 820 pages versus one book being 800 pages. I will definitely read more from this author.
I am absolutely in love with this series. I read the complete series in one weekend. Could not get enough of the adventures with Jade and Malachi. The fae world was beautifully written, and the human worlds clashed with it. Will definitely buy the series and feel in love with all the characters! If you're looking for a complete series with fae and adventure, this is the perfect read!
Oh, dear. Uh, DNF'd at .06%. I had hoped that I would at least push myself to finish the first book in this omnibus, but every other page, I was telling the characters to shut up, I found them so annoying and clichéd.
This is probably the first book and the largest that I’ve been able to consume in over a week. It is so well written I highly recommend. I had been in our reading slump for several years and this book put me right back into my reading craze all over again.
Omg this series… there are no words I just… adore this author & so happy I got to experience this epic world and these characters that burrowed into my heart… love all her work🖤
The stories were and easy and quick read for me because they really flowed well. I really enjoyed Malachi and Jade's dynamic as well as Blackwood's writing style. She build up the scenes and the world around the main characters as well as creating strong side characters that held so many prominent moments throughout the books. A love story that built from nothing into two people accepting eachother fully; darkness and all. Not only a love story but a story of kingdoms, battles, and powerful secrets.
This was a very predictable book. I got more than halfway through the first story, and I felt like I was reading an unfinished version of ACOTAR. There are a lot of similarities. that’s not to say I don’t think the author had good intentions with this book. I just think she needs a bit more work on it. The consistency is missing. One second it’s a forest another it’s a jungle. It’s also missing character builds.
