I absolutely LOVE each book in this series and now all of them are available in this boxset. Each story is full of passion, angst, heartbreaking emotion and thrilling twists and turns.
Hateful is the first book in the Wicked West Rejects series. This suspenseful and passionate story mesmerizes from the first page to the last. Gage and Dani are two tortured souls who can only find solace and peace in each other, but outside forces are determined to tear them apart.
Dani is a contradiction in character. On one hand, she’s a shy, awkward girl who tries to blend into the background and just get by in her day to day life, but on the other hand, she’s full of sass and vinegar and determined to stand up for herself. I loved both sides of her. She’s had a tough childhood and when she meets the Gage and his cousins, she finally finds a place to belong. It’s not an easy road to become accepted by them, but once she does, this foursome would do anything for each other. In Gage, she finds someone who truly sees her and accepts her for who she is.
To the outside, Gage is the boy with no heart. He’s rude and careless with his words and cares about no one but his cousins, but Dani touches a place deep inside him with that forces him to let his guard down. She doesn’t make him feel like an outcast with his idiosyncrasies and just accepts him. His home life is painful and destructive and he will do anything to shield those he loves from suffering the consequences of his family’s hurtful ways. Underneath all of his hateful words and cruel behavior, he has a huge heart and will protect his “family” even if that means hurting them.
With each other, Gage and Dani find a true connection and they truly understand one another. I loved their snarky banter and watching their relationship evolve.
Full of secrets, lies, betrayal, danger, heart, and heat, Hateful is a rollercoaster ride that will keep you guessing. More than that, it’s also a story of love and acceptance and the realization that a true home can be found in those you love. I can’t wait for Micah and Connor’s stories!!
Brave is the second book in the Wicked West Rejects series and it was EVERYTHING! Tess and Micah’s love/hate relationship is so beautifully emotional and will pull you in immediately. I was all in my feels for the entirety of this story.
After losing her mother at a young age, Tess has always feared losing her father as well. To compensate for this, she has been the dutiful daughter who will do anything that her father asks even if it sacrifices her own happiness. Underneath her prim and proper exterior, she’s feisty and full of life and longs for excitement. When she spends the night with Micah, she lets herself be free and he makes her feel things she has never felt before. He allows her to be herself and to stop being who everyone else expects her to be.
Micah is a fighter and does not mince words. His painful past has made him put up walls, but Tess brings a lightness to his life. He’s instantly possessive and protective of her and will make you swoon. Underneath his gruff exterior is a kind, tenderhearted man who would burn down the world to defend the woman that he loves. He will make any sacrifice to ensure the safety of those he loves.
These two together are absolute FIRE!! Their chemistry is insane and lights ups the pages. Their banter is electric and the way they care and support one another is heartwarming. Throughout tragedy, trauma and absolutely devastating heartbreak, their connection endures and is strengthened despite the outside forces that are determined to destroy them.
The emotions this story evokes will keep you on your toes. Full of heartbreak, drama, grief, sadness, joy, acceptance, forgiveness, redemption plus everlasting love and so much heat, my angsty heart was in heaven. Run, don’t walk to pick up this story! Now I cannot wait for Connor’s HEA.
Wise was angsty, emotional, and deliciously steamy. I’ve been waiting for Conner and Haven’s story and it does not disappoint. These two have a tragic past that only one of them remembers and watching their relationship develop was pure fire!
Conner is the hometown football player who has always had is pick of any woman. He doesn’t think he’s wired to fall in love until he sets his sights on Haven. Unaware of their past bond, he’s determined to find out why she has always pushed him away after their encounter in high school. I loved his heart and his tenacity. Once he sights his sets on something, he will single-mindedly make it happen and nothing will stand in his way.
In the other books, we’ve gotten glimpses of Haven’s heart, but now we finally see the woman that’s been hidden in the shadows. She’s had to be fierce and hard to survive her family’s business, but underneath the icy façade is a vulnerable woman who still longs for the boy she befriended so long ago. When Conner breaks through her defenses, we see how big her heart is and how she will sacrifice for the happiness of those she loves.
The chemistry between these two is absolute FIRE! Their connection was palpable, and the tension was exploding off the pages. The drama and lies caused by outside forces tested the strength of their connection and it was so angsty and addictive.
Full of lies, betrayal, passion, and a soul-binding love, Wise was an angsty roller coaster ride that is brimming with heartbreaking emotion. Conner and Haven are perfect for one another, and I devoured their story. Their story tore out my heart at times, but it was so worth it in the end.

Absolutely Incredible Series!!!!
Hateful:
Twisted. Suspenseful. Mesmerizing.
Hateful is book one in the Wicked West Rejects is a reimagined version of Wizard of Oz. It was a totally different type of story than we know and love from Cora but I was hooked from the very page. The story features Dorothy Ann (Dani) and Gage. They are both a little broken but find solace and a true connection in one another. Outside sources force them apart, but Gage never keeps Dani far from his heart and mind. There are several other characters and plenty of villains throughout the story as well. Sometimes I didn't know who I hated more.
Cora wrote a beautiful story that takes you on a roller coaster ride that is full of lies, secrets, betrayal, suspense, danger, heat and heart. It will keep you guessing till the very end. I can't wait for Micah and Conners stories.
Brave:

Gahhhhhh these two stole my heart and I don’t ever want it back!!!! You get glimpses of Micah and Tess in Hateful but I was not prepared for him at all. Micah is so much more than he gives himself credit for. He is loyal, strong, an artist, devoted to his cousins and eventually Tess. Tess has always given everything she has to her dad and his political dreams, even sacrificing herself. When a late night at a sketchy bar throws them into each other’s path…. They start to see each other in different eyes.
Cora has written a masterpiece with this one. There are twists and turns that kept me turning pages and left me shocked more than once. At the core of the story was Micah and Tess who were fighting for a way to be together. I can’t wait for Conner’s story next!
Wise:
Wise is book three in the Wicked West Rejects Series. It can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend reading the first 2 books cause they are just so good!! Wise is Conner & Haven’s story and boy it did not disappoint.
I’ve wanted Conner’s story since book 1. He is just this ray of sunshine that loves his family so much. He is the light to his cousins darkness. They have a history together, the problem is that only one of them remembers it. He suffers some memory loss from a fall from a tree when he was younger. He is the hometown hero who can have his pick of any girl. He doesn’t think he is wired for love. However, seeing his cousins find love is slowly changing his thinking.
Haven is a twin who runs a club on the east side of town. You see glimpses of her in the previous books. She puts on a tough facade but her heart is huge. She had to be to survive the family business. She has this icy facade but deep down she is still the girl longing for the boy who befriended her on the basketball court.
A story like ours could never be simple. No, this will be the messiest one of all…
They have such incredible chemistry and it’s easy to see why they belong together. Their journey isn’t easy by any measure but it’s worth it all in the end. I was hooked from the very first page and couldn’t put their story down. I hated that this was the end but I’m glad we got answers to so many questions from the series.

I read these books individually and absolutely loved them all! Once I started I just couldn’t put them down. This family was totally twisted and so many betrayals! You wouldn’t think these kids would turn out like they did and love like they do! I loved these guys but I have to say that Connor really stole my heart! So many feels in this series! This is truly a magnificent series that I can’t recommend highly enough!

These stories will take you on an emotional roller coaster and contain a mix of angst, plot twists, and Cora's specialty, redemption. Here in one set, the story of a family so twisted your wonder how the kids ever survived. As adults they overcome the darkness and find happiness and survivers they truly are. It is such a good set of overcoming the bad dealt to you and finding good and happiness. This is honest review for books I read individually

This series is absolutely gripping, and I couldn't put it down. The storyline has twists and turns that make for a brilliant read, and each character is so described that I actually believed that I knew them. Not a lot of authors draw you in like Cora Brent, and she is definitely my one click purchase before I even read the Blurb.

This was an AMAZING spin on The Wizard of Oz. The author took care in correlating the original characters to their Wicked West Reject counterparts, it was fun to match them up as the story unfolded. I was definitely on the edge of my seat as each new twist appeared. There are so many ways this story could have went and I can honestly say that I did not see "that" coming!
I have to admit I am addicted to the cRaZiNeSs that presents itself in this series. Just when I thought it couldn't get more twisted than Hateful the author brings on Brave, taking it to a whole new level. I had a hard time putting this one down, it had me at the edge of my seat. The chemistry between Micah & Tess was off the charts, their tortured souls deserve happiness and seeing a new side of Micah was a bonus. I love the loyalty Micah, Gage & Connor have to each other, especially given their upbringing and family history.
Conner has been the one person who could make me laugh throughout the Wicked West Rejects series, but in his story, we also see another side of this AMAZING man. Then there is Haven...She was hard to like in the previous installments, but here we get the inside scoop on this fiercely strong and big-hearted woman. These two had combustible chemistry that only strengthened the bond formed years prior. The story was fast-paced with enough twists that kept me on edge. Conner's bond with his cousins and their significant others is just a bonus in this story.
