Not good
I can't really say there was anything good about this book other than it didn't have many spelling or grammar issues. The story was weird. It didn't flow well and the characters weren't all that likeable.
The story follows a young girl named Jasmine who meets her stepbrothers the day her abusive alcoholic/drug addicted mother gets married. Apparently after this first meeting with these boys, they decide that she is the one for them and proceed to take care of her for the next 3ish years until she turns 21 where they plan to claim her. Why wait til she's 21 is beyond me, but whatever...
It's now 3 years later and the boys find out that Jasmine has been lying to them about her home life. Her mother, who had been sober when she had married the brothers father years ago is now drinking and doing drugs again and has basically kicked Jasmine out of her house.
They decide to move up their date to make her theirs and move her into the house, where they proceed to tell her that they have loved her for the last 3 years and they plan on sharing her. These are all things I can somewhat get behind, but it all happens in a choppy way.
My main issue is the weird Daddy kink. I'm not against it, but to have all 4 brothers need to be called Daddy? And they really do treat her like a baby! She's a 20 year old woman, and apparently can't think or do anything on her own. My deal breaker was when she got spanked for swearing. I mean, that's ridiculous. They tell her when to eat, sleep, what she can say... just ew. I need my book heroines to have a bit of a backbone.

I don’t know how I didn’t know that this was a daddy kink book, so that was a thorough surprise and it kind of ruined the entire book for me. It can be done and done well, but this wasn’t it.
I didn’t get the vibe that the brothers were that much older than her, so I didn’t get age gap vibes either.
And then, let’s add the poor writing and the constant mentioning of how they’ll take care of Jasmine, and the immaturity of Jasmine because she’s so stubborn. None of the brothers had a personality and are completely one dimensional.
Overall, so many things really ruined the book. There was no suspense, no plot, the spicy scenes couldn’t even hold this book together . . . there was absolutely nothing going for this book.

This story had so much potential but lacked character development and refinement. Jasmine fell in love with her four step brothers at the very beginning and they fell in love with her too. The only dilemma was that they wanted to wait for her to turn 21. I kept waiting for a big plot twist or dilemma, but each time it was anticlimatic and fizzles out before it began.
It’s not a good omen when the main character’s favourite band is Nickelback and it was pretty much all downhill from there. Once they get together she’s calling them all daddy after her first night at their house and getting told off for swearing when the rest of them are doing the same thing. At that point I lost interest and started skimming the rest of the book.
This has to be one of the worst books I’ve read in terms of editing. So many sentences weren’t grammatically correct and had incorrect punctuation. Disappointing when I was looking for a fun read to finish off the year.

Daddy issues
The use of the "daddy" word is beyond annoying and utterly disgusting. I get it for the bedroom sometimes, but to constantly use it with every sentence makes me cringe and think this is a pedos dram book. Gross, if I could give less stars I would. I love dark, violent and deliciously vile smut books but, yuck daddy issues for sure.

DNF at just over 60%
Look, the story itself was mostly fine (up until the daddy part, and then not because I’m against daddy as a title but because there was 0 lead up or discussion). It badly needs copyediting though, which made it hard to enjoy. We had a lot of misused commas, incorrect capitalization, misused whom/who, and miscellaneous missing punctuation.

I cannot in good conscience continue to read this book as it's aggravating the life out of me. I've got to start the year off as I mean to go, dumping books when I know they are not for me. Started off well as in the first chapter and then after that got progressively worse. I tapped out at 53% when the brothers decided to be daddies for some reason.
The vibe is all wrong and not believable. The whole reverse harem is pushed as inevitable because all 5 are into it. There was no obvious attraction from FMC to even one, let alone all MMCs. Her thoughts and feelings on this are explained after the sexual relationship starts.
I'm not wasting anymore thoughts on this.

Four Stepbrothers & I
This was an enjoyable read. I love how strong and independent Jasmine is trying to be and her 4 stepbrothers are in the background trying to protect her while waiting for her to grow up. While the "Daddy" isn't my preferred kink, it does lend itself to the story. Looking forward to the next book.

the O’Reilly Men & Jasmine
I have gotten absolutely nothing done today because I couldn’t put this book down! I loved that I couldn’t guess everything that happened. So many surprises! It is very steamy, as should be expected. The protectiveness from all four of the O’Reillys is perfect. I am so excited that there is a second book coming out in just a few days! So good!

Weird and impractical
Daddy kink is not my thing. And not being able to refer to them as anything but daddy- no matter where they were? Nope. Nevermind the other issues. She's in her 20s and pursuing a ballet career? Nope. If you haven't made by your teens you don't go far. Very very few women make big past 20. Ballet companies draft them young because they have to start so young (think toddlers) in order to become flexible. She hasn't eaten right in months? Nope. Ballerinas are professional athletes. They HAVE to eat right. Not eating isn't an option. Eating bad isn't an option. She wouldn't have the energy or muscle mass to dance well. She also gets blackout drunk after seeing what her mom did while drunk and high? Inconsistent behavior. Nevermind what alcohol in such large doses would do to her constitution and hurt her dancing abilities. Being beaten would also hurt her career. Working a dive bar? Too risky. Shoved around during a brawl, slippery floors, chopping fruit for garnishes, heavy lifting, a number of risks to her dancing. The mean girl trope is a bit overkill. And her suddenly standing up for herself out of nowhere was a complete reversal of character. And my final complaint - the virgin to nympho without a single hiccup trope. Just...no. We won't mention the backdoor with no lube issue. Needless to say the "steam scenes" were skipped over after the 1st couple. The guys were overdone. "We know what you need better than you do" was knuckle draggingly patriarchal to the nth degree. I don't think I'll be pursuing this series.

If you ever thought that you had a lot of people in your life to care for you and look after you, this book could make you think again. if you never had anyone in your life to care for you and look after you then this book just leaves you really wishing You had four wonderful men in your life … but there’s always a catch. These men are very possessive and they kill other people.
I understand that Jasmine is broken and that she’s very worried about leaving. Still she kind of got on my nerves a little bit because she just seemed to take that too extreme again, I understand and I think it’s wonderful that she want to take care of herself. I think she could’ve tried to find a balance between accepting some of their help and still being independent. Though they are very possessive men.
I really wasn’t big on the daddy kink either. I really didn’t like that part. I like their names being used much better.
I’m using talk to text so I’m sure all the proper commas and all the proper punctuation isn’t put into place. Talk to text is not that advanced yet. As for the punctuation and the look, as long as there’s a period at the end of the sentence and a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence. I really don’t care less. I am living in the story. I’m there. I’m in the room and I can smell what this room smells like and I see the wallpaper and I see the pictures on the wall, and I can feel the atmosphere of the room. No matter where the characters are I’m right there living in it. I am a part of it. I don’t notice punctuation because my head is inside the story and my eyes are going down over the words, but I’m living the story. I’m a part of it. I do notice spelling mistakes. If plane is used instead of plain, it does break my mindset. If I see the spelling mistake and I’m sure I miss many because it’s not about the words as much as living the story. Obviously it’s about the words, but I’m not that connected. It’s hard to explain. There are times though that a word is spelled wrong, and it’s all sudden the story stops. My mind stops and I have to look to see what happened.
This book was free and I didn’t mind it. I like Christian the best. Jason was very understanding and kind. Maximus seem to me like the boss. To me he had more of a rougher guy and boss personality. I do not feel that I got to know Sean at all. It almost seemed like he was a side character . Even though Jason was the most understanding and Maximus was pretty cool. I have to be honest, I didn't think I would like this one. However, I ended up LOVING it. If you don't like Daddy kink in and out of the bedroom, this won't be for you. I honestly wasn't expecting that aspect of the duet but was pleasantly surprised. The men in this are dominant, protective, and possessive. The female lead is independent and hard working, but in desperate need of a keeper, or four. It was a great reverse harem, there is a decent amount of outside drama that I really appreciated.
Things I didn't like - it needs some more editing. Also, I think it would have been fine to make this a standalone with a little less intricate drama?

They always planned to make her theirs, but that time comes early when they find out she isn't living the way they thought she was. Turns out Jasmine's mother is ruining her life yet again, drinking and threatening to sell her virginity. Jasmine is unable to stay in the house her stepbrothers were secretly paying for, and instead is working all the time, giving up classes she loves, and living in a run down apartment. Christian 25, Jason 22, Sean and Maximus the twins who are 20 are devastated when they find out. The time to make her theirs comes early with their revelations. They decide to step in and take care of her in all ways, by being her partners and Daddies.

I wanted to like this one but instead I got 65% through and called it quits. The paper had more personality than any of the main characters, the parents divorced 1/4 through the book so they weren't even step siblings anymore, and it felt a little predatory (and not in the hot way) with all four brothers basically falling in love at first sight an then waiting until she's legal/older (kinda sweet, kinda creepy?). Jasmine was a pretty basic FMC, and honestly the most interesting thing about her was her Mom's problem with alcohol (bottom of the barrel stuff right there, no pun intended), and all of the men wee just four different shades of 'protect/destroy/mate' humanoid robots. Yes, they were rich and yes, they were drop dead gorgeous, and yes, they had no personality. Towards the end of when I stopped reading, it was getting very Ai based off Wattpad sounding- FMC is forced out of home by abusive parent, working multiple jobs to stay afloat, technically homeless for a period of time and then gets rescued by these big, rich 'alpha' males who solve all her problems with a midafternoon romp in the bedroom. Maybe I'm just a loser for wanting something more out of these books. Don't get me wrong, I am all here for the smut (I knew what I signed up for when I saw that cover), it would just be great if it was more tasteful, more passionate, like maybe if we actually knew the characters as people rather than just as vessels. Might be a me issue. 3/10.

I loved this reverse harem story. Jasmine is a young lady who believes that people who care for her always leave. Her father left her mother and her when she was young. Her grandparents who she loved both died and the one person who is supposed to love her unconditionally is a drug addict and cares for no one but herself. If push came to shove, she might sell her daughter for drugs if she could get away with it. Jasmine meets her stepbrothers when her mother marries their father. The oldest Christian, then Jason, and then the twins Sean and Maximus. They watch over her because they want her and because they know that their father is not a very good person. When her mother leaves their father and comes back to the house she is living in, she finds out that her mother has gone back to her old ways of drugs and booze. The brothers want Jasmine for themselves for all of them to take care of her and be her daddies, lovers and anything a partner might want from a person. You will enjoy this story if you don't mind erotica, BDSM, Kink. I really loved that these brothers stuck together and had a role all of them played in growing up and watching out for one another and then adding Jasmine to the mix. Jasmine is going to school and is a ballet dancer and she wants or has this independent attitude because she feels the only person she can count on is herself because her experience is abandonment.

First time I’ve read reverse harem, and I loved it. There are a few mistakes, but didn’t spoil it.
Wow. First time I’ve read a reverse harem as I never fancied them before. Feel like I’ve been missing out. When Jasmine’s mother marries Tommy, she gains four stepbrothers, Christian who is the oldest who is quite severe and strict, Jason who is really strict but has a softer side, and the twins Sean and Maximus who are more easy going. I worried that they had grown up together before I started reading it, but they met when she was nearly 18. Her stepbrothers are all daddies and they all want Jasmine.
Jasmine had a horrid childhood, her dad left when she was eight, and her mum who is an addict. So when her stepbrothers tell her they’ll always be there for her she finds it difficult to believe them. Until she moves in with them and it is HOT!!! Wow! So sexy.
A couple of spellings mistakes, it didn’t spoil it. One mistake really did annoy me. A😡al sex without lube. NOOOOOO!!!! THAT WOULD HURT HER!! 😡😡😡😡 That nearly made me stop reading it. There’s not really a plot either. There’s a warning at the beginning about things that didn’t happen. I’m guessing they’re in the second book.
I’m off now to read the second book. It’s been a long time since I enjoyed a book as much.

Jasmine had a horrid childhood, her dad left when she was eight, and her mum who is an addict. So when her stepbrothers tell her they’ll always be there for her she finds it difficult to believe them. Until she moves in with them and it is HOT!!! Wow! So sexy.
A couple of spellings mistakes, it didn’t spoil it. One mistake really did annoy me. A😡al sex without lube. NOOOOOO!!!! THAT WOULD HURT HER!! 😡😡😡😡 That nearly made me stop reading it. There’s not really a plot either. There’s a warning at the beginning about things that didn’t happen. I’m guessing they’re in the second book.
I’m off now to read the second book. It’s been a long time since I enjoyed a book as much.

When you know you know.
I love it so far. I love the guys so much too. They adore Jazzy. A couple thing I was a tad annoyed at was there seems to be an ! at the end of sentences that didn't require them. Also the fact that they barely let her say what she wants without saying punishment. She should be able to speak her mind. I get they don't want her to swear she barely does but if it slips out in heat of moment she should have to be spanked because of it. But that's the Daddy Dom thing I guess. Nothing was bad enough I didn't love the book because I did. Also I don't know if it's stated for the series or just one book. But I didn't see any s3xual assault. It didn't say a mention of past s3xual assault like it usually would. It said sexual assault so I don't know if it's coming or if that's what the author ment when she was touched as a child. And was death of a loved one was that ger grandparent. Or is something coming because I'm not sure why it's mentioned if it's in the past and we don't even know them. I'm a bit confused on the descriptions pit in place. Do they include back or future content. Anyways I don't usually leave a review til the last book and put the review all together. But I did it differently this way. But the author did great and I'll probably buy this if it has buying option

This book had a rough start. Then, in the middle, it had other issues. Near the end, I was getting confused about everything, as well.
Grammatically, yes, there were many issues. Does nobody proofread or edit things anymore?
Th9s had a very abrupt start, and I was confused about their dynamic. somehow, after meeting her, they just all decided they want her and will share? And they will wait for her to turn 21?
Jasmine is extremely immature. I can't get over how many times she just behaves like a brat, and we are supposed to believe she is such a strong person. I am having difficulty seeing what they all see in her, honestly.
Plus, except for Christian, all of the guys are the same. There is barely anything to set him apart from the others, too.
This book was super fast to read and too short. Practically nothing happened. I got to 85% and was worried that nothing was going to happen. It wasn't until 88% in that I even thought to check if the next book is a continuation. Luckily, it is, because I was about to be very disappointed and was ready for a scathing review.
I'm now moving on to the next book.

Not a DNF but some concerns.
Not necessarily a 5 star for me but I’ll truly give it 3.75. Spice is a 3.5.
I’ve read a lot of mafia-type/Dom books and this seemed a bit vanilla in comparison. Plot is decent but a bit transparent; if you’re familiar with similar plots. The guys come off possessive/obsessive but not in a stalker way which doesn’t make them morally gray or black just overprotective. The “they-fall-first” trope isn’t well developed. WHY did they so immediately fall for her? Why were they waiting until she turned 21? (That would’ve been kinda cool if this was a vampire story). They went from stepbrothers to lovers SUPER fast. The abandonment issues for the FMC are warranted but the fear of that happening with the MMC’s seems a bit of a consistent overreaction.
My main issue was the editing. I know this is British-English but some of the words and phrases seemed forced and the word “whilst” was used WAY too much. Spelling and capitalization were other issues throughout.
Not a DNF but the ELA teacher in me cringed. I will keep reading cause the MMC’s are way too hot and sexy. But I will take a break to calm down from the editing mistakes . ; )

Although close to perfect, Four Stepbrothers had some elements that made me uneasy. The brothers were all three to ten years older than Jasmine. They all had been exposed to a criminal lifestyle before meeting her. Christian had been involved in the ultimate test of a criminal; so although rich, they all had tones from the underworld. Normally I'm all-in with criminal stories, but four brothers with this kind of background was disturbing.
So the story, for me, had elements of coercion. The brothers met Jasmine when she was 17. They waited for her to grow up before they ever made any type of suggestive comment or gesture towards her. However, since she also had experienced a difficult childhood, she had vulnerabilities that probably made her more willing to do whatever the brothers told her to do.
If you like reading romances that skate the edge of acceptable choices, this one will be right up your alley. If this isn't your cup of tea, this is your forewarning. Every act was consensual.

DNF.
Bad writing, very uneven time spent with one certain MMC while the others all blended together, the kind of insta love that makes me roll my eyes, the kind of every-side-character-is-a-villain-of-some-sort writing that makes me roll my eyes, the kind of special snowflake FMC that makes me roll my eyes, the kind of overly possessive MMC that makes me roll my eyes, you get the picture.
And then the book turned them all (all four of them) into her daddies. I don't like the daddy kink but I don't usually mind coming across it but I MINDED IT HERE. It gave me the ick. She could no longer make even basic choices, and she was punished for swearing. Overnight (literally) she gave up every part of herself to that guys and then there was still 3/4 of the book left for this daddy kink to play out in. It was a twisted, incorrect sense of the kink, the kind that gives it a bad name and I don't even like that particular kink so imagine my annoyance at having to defend it. *Another eye roll*

giant gross out
Wow, I should have paid more attention to the 1 and 2 star reviews. Bad grammar, bad writing over all and really the story induced major nausea. The ‘daddy’ thing is not my trope. Nope, no way, nah uh. It really reads like a teenager wrote it. I hate to slag authors, but this one stunk to high heaven. There was so little character development, back stories were non existent. I can handle reverse harems, in fact I love them as long as they are well written (check out Elizabeth Dear’s Knight Series for a heroine who seriously kicks butt). And there are 5 books? Good grief. Needless to say, I will not be reading them as I didn’t finish this one. Yuck. One more little detail that is really picking at me. The main female character is supposed to be studying to be a ballet dancer. I snort with derision. This girl spends her time eating ice cream and downing milkshakes. And alcohol. Yeah, right. Oh my god....I need more. I need everything to do with them all. I need to know what happens next. Should I have my husband read this to give him so ideas? 🤣🤣 It's very tempting to.
This book was amazing, I fell in love with all five characters and could not put it down. It is a must read but do pay attention to the triggers at the beginning. 💛
And as a daughter who had an alcoholic mother, this book made me want to cry at times. I felt seen and understood.
