After getting hurt before the first game of the season, and getting dumped halfway through his recovery, Ryan Roscowitz needs a break. But instead of relaxing on a family vacation, he’s stuck in snowy paradise with Holland Campbell, his childhood best friend and the one woman who can’t stand him. With two days together before everyone else arrives, and with the help of a mis-sent text, they’re about to find out they have a lot more in common than they thought.
One-Timer is a standalone holiday short in the BU Hockey series. It features an opposites-attract pair who seemingly have nothing in common...except their sizzling attraction to each other. Chronologically, it follows Scoring Chance and happens concurrently with Penalty Kill, but it can be read on its own.
A cute holiday short set in the Bainbridge University Hockey series, Ryan and Holland have been friends since they were kids. And have always had feelings for one another. But with growing up and high school and drifting apart, neither told the other. Nor believed the other would feel that way. But after being stuck alone for a weekend and accidentally sending texts to the wrong person… well something is a bout to change. Maybe these two can finally get it right and admit that they were always meant to be together. Very cute short and it made me excited to jump back into this world when the series picks up again!
Read this as part of the Melting the Ice anthology which was a anthology full of hockey holiday themes novellas so I could not resist. It was actually the first anthology I read back to back and I loved all the novellas. Super excited to read some of the series these novellas are set in, not all of them are part of a universe but some are and I'm really excited to read more from a lot of these authors!
I loved all 63 pages of this story! Rosco and Holland have a weekend together before family arrives before the holidays, they make the most of it, and they get a cute HEA.
This is awesome and an amazing addition to the Bainbridge University Hockey series. Holland and Ryan are explosive together but have a few issues to work out. I'm so glad that they eventually get together for their HEA. You need this story in your life!
I'm a huge fan of friends to lovers. Throw Christmas into the mix and I'm in. I loved this little story of a mis-sent text and childhood friends becoming lovers. Highly recommend.
