One little Christmas party will change everything…
Eli is naturally introverted and mostly opposed to human interaction. The only exceptions are his boss and mentor Becks, and the string of one night stands he leaves behind him. After being swindled by his assistant to attend the office Christmas party, he sets his eyes on a stunning woman dressed as an elf, who his boss introduces to him…
As. His. Assistant.
Ashtrid loves everything about Christmas, especially her grandmother's parties. After convincing her stick in the mud boss to attend, Ash set her sights on helping Santa take pics with the kids. That is, until her grandma introduces her to her boss, Eli Knox and she can’t stop staring at him. He’s even more gorgeous in person, and she wants to get to know him a bit more…intimately.
Little does she know, her grandmother, Becks, is up to no good. This is a mature novella, content warnings can be found on my website.
Taylor Wilson-West is a firm believer that the magic of words on a page can transport readers to new places, and finds comfort in making new, albeit fictional, friends. Currently residing in a small town in North Carolina with her husband and two perfect kiddos, she lives off Cheerwine, potatoes, and ranch dressing. When she’s not reading or writing, she can be found shopping at bookstores, adding to her never ending bookshelves. Taylor finds it necessary to have a bookish candle that fits every genre and book character that she has ever fallen in love with. Her favorite moment in any consumable media is when confident, fat main characters get their happily ever after.
If you’ve made it this far, please leave a review! Reviews are an author's best friend, and readers obviously! :P
Okay that was so HOT & unexpectedly the perfect Christmas novella!!! I definitely went into this blind not knowing anything about the other books & I had a jolly good time
AHHHHHHHH!! Eli has quite a dirty mouth on him & I am sooo here for it ;)
This gave me all my favorite vibes from Christmas movies but it had a fun little twist & some good ole smüt that we all love!! Whew.
Definitely perfect for all my Ho Ho Hos this holiday season!!
Eli Knox, a reserved workaholic, reluctantly attends his office Christmas party after being tricked by his boss, Becks. There, he’s captivated by a stunning elf—only to realize she’s his assistant, Ashtrid. Ash, a holiday enthusiast, loves everything about Christmas, including hosting parties for her grandmother Becks. Meeting her grumpy but gorgeous boss at the party sparks unexpected chemistry. Unbeknownst to them, Becks has a holiday matchmaking plan to bring them together for some Christmas magic.
This is a truly fun, short office romance with a touch of holiday magic. The book is easy to follow, a quick read, and the characters are interesting and appealing right from the start, each in their own way. The grumpy x sunshine trope is portrayed perfectly. Get ready for the spicy parts because most of the book is smut. I really enjoyed the beginning of each chapter, as even there, you can feel the tension building for what's to come. I recommend reading this book during the holiday season—it might even give you some extra ideas to try with your partner and spice up your own holidays.
I met Taylor at Romance Con 2024 and immediately fell in love with her badassery! She was in a panel on dark romance and made mention to a smutty novella but didn’t drop the name so… I yelled out “what’s the name of the novella!” And lo and behold this beauty is also on KU!
My god it’s perfection. It’s quick, dirty and so perfect. Couldn’t ask for more. Except I wish I had more of them! I want more of their story! Taylor will you please write more of them?!
Holy shit Tay. Just finished the novella and Ash is one lucky bitch. You are brilliant and I loved it. Hell who needs porn when your friend writes it better lol As always you did it gurl 🥰
I couldn’t really follow the story enough to get really interested. I was confused throughout the whole thing, but there were some parts that grabbed me, just not for long.
This was not my cup of tea.. the story seemed all over the place, even for a novella. I understand it was supposed to be short and spicy, but things bounced around a little too much for my liking. I also did not care for the way the MMC describes the FMC. I'm sure other people will enjoy the quick read, but it just wasn't for me.
Let's spice up the holidays! So I dove straight into this holiday novella less than 24 hours after finishing Say I'm Yours, Firecracker. In Firecracker we were introduced to a new character named Eli, and in my review I mentioned that I was curious to see if we'd run into him again in a future book. Welllll, I was not expecting that to happen so soon! 🤪 Woahh baby, did I enjoy getting to know him better! I found him interesting in Firecracker, but let me tell you... I was not expecting this! I breezed right through this spicy Christmas read and I loved it. I could not and did not put it down. The Christmas time setting was so cute! I adored Ash, she was such a quirky and fun character. I hope to see the two of them again eventually, and honestly a full length novel for the two of them would be perfection! 😆
Do yourself a favor and check out the Say series sometime! It's a series of stand-alones, I'd recommend starting with Say I Do, Sunshine and then Say I'm Yours, Firecracker before diving into the novella.
The spiciest little novella under the Christmas tree!
Cheese and crackers this was spicy in all the best ways! We get to revisit Eli’s storyline in this holiday themed novella and watch the sparks fly! He was one of my favorite characters in Firecracker, so I loved that we got a little more about him! We also meet Ash and obviously, I adored her. I also loved the little cameo convo with Ronnie (if you know you know)
This can be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading the entire series so you can have the fun little background info as well!
This book is a spicy little Novella that in book 2.5 in the Say series, that the beautiful Taylor surprised us with and man I.AM.HERE.FOR.IT!
You don't HAVE to read the first 2 in the series (but, I mean why wouldn't you want to? They are fantastical) but if you are looking for a fun holiday quick read, this is it!
Eli and Ash are a fall fast and hard kind of love. A grumpy (Ebenezer Scrooge if you will) and a sunshine kind of love.
One thing I absolutely loved was the chapter headers! Each chapter had a new twist to some classic Christmas song lyrics and I found myself cracking up over them 😂.
I’m gonna be honest, this was straight smut and I knew that when I started the 57 page book, I’d be in for some filth, and it didn’t disappoint. The boss/employee trope is always a fan favorite and he was very bossy indeed, if you know what I mean 😏😮💨. I will say though, I couldn’t quite get on board with the ‘Little Elf’ nickname he had for her. I don’t know why but for some reason I just can’t get the picture of an actual little elf man out of my head every time he called her that, and it’s a damn shame 😂
Are you on the hunt for a spicy, full-on chili pepper christmas novella? Look no further than Say Merry Christmas, Boss. Is it short? Yes. Is there a super small bit wonderful detail that connects it back to our Say I Do leading ladies? Duh. Does it pack a punch in the spice department? A billion times yes. If you’re looking for holiday and sexy time all in one short little package, this is your one-stop shop. The background between Eli and Ash was well done and made for a bit so awkward first meeting one night stand kind of thing, and I love that the author had the presence to do that. The chapter titles were also a fun little tidbit! I adored how the main couple was basically full on spicing in someway for 85% of the book, but was still able to skip back into normalcy when needed. Well done!
“If you still want me, say Merry Christmas, Boss, and I’ll know” ~~~~ Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Rating: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 Love this unexpected Christmas novella that Taylor just dropped on us. It was great, love the characters. The spice-wow, that was HOT! This is perfect little novella if you looking for some great spice! I wonder what the next big thing will be dropped? 🤔
What a H O T T standalone novella! Daddy Eli had me sweating quick and something about Ash made me swoon!
Perfect little holiday read to help you hit your reading goal, as well as swoon for more!
Set in Taylor’s “Say” world, all her novels are interconnected but can be read as standalones and I highly recommend all of them, including this amazing short and spicy read!
While I did enjoy this short, spicy read, I thought it was lacking, even for a novella. It seemed like it was all over the place, and there wasn't much substance to it. I know it's hard to create a whole story with lots of depth and what not when it comes to a novella, but I really felt this one was lacking. I definitely didn't hate the story, and I thought it was really cute overall.
Oh my! What a delightful spicy Christmas snack of a novella. Eli’s mouth had me all hot and bothered. If you want a quick and spicy read go no further. Although it is a standalone I recommend reading Say I Do Sunshine and Say I’m Yours Firecracker before this one. As the characters are interconnected. 🎄🖤
Not all books need to be hundreds of pages long to get to the point. This cute little story was 77 pages and a sweet little spicy story. I'd also like to add that the dedication and the chapter names had me rolling with laughter. I'm pretty sure I sent pictures of every chapter name to my reader friend as well because they were hilarious and yet perfect for the book.
This was a cute novella, but I couldn't get over the mistakes. Like, he took her bra off twice. She removed her stockings 3 times. And then she went from wearing a sweater to a dress.
I picked up this cute little holiday novella at the bookstore to add to my Christmas TBR!!! I would actually rate this 3.5 ⭐️ it definitely gets straight to the point as a spicy novella and I like that!! If you want a spicy Christmas read so check this one out!!
I was not expecting to love this little novella as much as I did, 60 pages is crazy to fit so much smut in but damn did it work and keep me hooked it was so spicy I loved it! If you are looking for a quick spicy read then please read this!
Definitely just all smut, which I am here for but I didn’t love the repetitive nature of the words and phrases. It’s under 100 pages- switch it up! Also, she called herself mid size and he was like oh her back is big, her thighs are ginormous. Be so for real.
