This book really had everything I needed for Sociology 101 in my freshman college year. Can't really rate on the questions, quizzes, or tests, but for content this is a great text to turn to. Every topic has a real life example that is easy to understand and relate to. I would recommend this to any person interested in sociology as a hobby. Not sure if I could recommend it for a current course as it is most likely out-dated.
My students really enjoyed this book. They reported that it was easy to read and relatable with relevant examples and references. A couple even said they would you reading ahead and covering chapters that weren't assigned.
Excellent book! Straight to the point with lots of examples and movies for reference. It is styled like a magazine, which is a neat idea but the book takes a lot of wear & tear. I had to use the internet to delve a little deeper on some subjects for school though. Overall, a good read:-)
This serves as a great introduction to sociology. Even if you think you don't like sociology it actually addresses real life problems with interesting perspectives.
