Pandora Learns to Sing: A Journey Toward Wholeness

Rate this book
This true story flings open the scary little box called the self so we may glimpse the cause (and cure) of anxieties manifested in over-eating, fear of flying, panic at singing or speaking in public and difficult relationships. By shining a light into the deep and the dark, we disclose not only a bountiful source of hope but what it truly means to live as a human being rather than a human doing.

This is s deeply exalted, painful, beautiful, deeply honest book.It is very well constructed, surprisingly original and seductively written.
I was orbited into the exhilarating, brave and insightful journey, rooting for the protagonists success and well earned wholeness.Among one of the many descriptions that took my breath away, needing to remind myself to breath, was the translation into words of the non tangible experience of being one with the WHOLE trough Tango dancing and also the journey through the therapeutic Primal process as well as the many passionate and deeply felt sensual love interactions.
In my book,Deborah J. Weitzman, establishes herself among writers that have important things to say.
I am seriously waiting for the next book

"Pandora Learns to Sing" is a book that so many women (and perhaps some men!) can relate to. It is about the human struggle. It is a story about a woman who out of necessity had to give up on the "chemical" solution to her fears and anxiety. In doing so she travelled through all the painful phases of her life hoping (though sometimes doubting) that there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Her life is unique and yet the issues she faces are universal. The book is beautifully written and moves at a pleasant pace. I recommend it to anyone who understands that facing your fears is the only way to diminish them.

An exceptionally strong and courageous book.

Pandora Learns to Sing is an exceptionally strong and courageous book. It
is strong because the reader is being pulled into the author's battle
against physical pain and anxiety and courageous because it is so personal.
Yet, this is a positive and life-affirming book full of joie de vivre and
humor. Highly recommended.
