This book did not seem quite as boring as the first one, yet at the same time, I still didn't care for it much. There was finally some action going on, which kept me engaged in the story, and yet emotionally I didn't feel much from any of the characters. Yes, the author told me they were upset, but I didn't feel it much. Of course, that could be that by this time in the duet, I was mostly checked out.
I don't have anything against the Daddy trope, but it was just way overdone. It didn't help that Jasmine came across as way immature on top of it, too. I wasn't really into it in this book. Add in that there were 4 guys, yeah, the Daddy thing got really old really fast. That's why by the time she got kidnapped, I was ready to just move on at that point.
There was no proofreading or editing in here, was there? Wrong versions of your/you're being used, tons of run-on sentences, and random extra or missing punctuation made this especially hard to get through.
Pacing felt off, too. We have a book and a half of not much going on, then boom! So much crammed into the last half of the last book. It helped me speed through the rest of the book, but getting there was a slog.
Overall, I don't really think I enjoyed these two books very much. I don't think I would recommend them to others, either.
