This book was a varied snapshot of different journeys, some I found more interesting than others. I really enjoyed the descriptions of the Polynesian islands and the people living there, also the journeys along the salt road and the Ho Chi Minh trail . Less interesting was the journey across Russia which you never really heard anything about as the writer spent most of the time talking about the Russian Revolution, which is interesting but not what I signed up for. It would have been nice to watch the documentaries that they were filming when this book was written but I haven't been able to find them anywhere unfortunately. On the whole this was a nice easy read and a nice getaway to different cultures in a time when we are less able to travel.

Mulai dafri The Silk Road, The Polynesian Triangle, The Pan American Highway, The Burma Road, From The Baltic to The Black Sea, The Salt Road, hingga The Ho Chi Mind Trail.
