Amazing book! Cute, sweet, young teen romance story! Would recommend for all ages. No language, no sex, a couple sweet kisses. I wish it was longer though, it felt a bit rushed and I feel there could’ve been more to the story. Overall, a great book! Can’t wait for more My Favorite Color books! Eva Austin books do not disappoint. It’s a treat every time <3

Wow, this was so sweet! I really enjoyed it! I really wish it was longer, though! I didn't have time to really feel their story. It felt really rushed. And like I got this last night and read it in like 2 hrs. I want to read more!

REVIEW:
All I have to say is that Eva Austin is the new Kasie West! I didn’t even think it was possible, but this book proves me wrong.

I LOVED My Favorite Color is Your Something Blue. This quick novel was a clean summer romance. The setting was perfect, and so were the characters. The main character was a bridesmaid for a small mountain town wedding in the middle of nowhere. The novel followed a different plot and story than I have read before, and I liked that. It was short—so short that I read the whole thing on an airplane ride—but it was the perfect length for what I wanted.

It’s a hot take, but I do NOT like hallmark movies or books. They are too cringy and fake, and that is what I half expected this book to be. However, it took me by surprise, as it was neither cringy nor fake. Also, it was perfectly clean!

This is Eva’s first book in this series, and I can’t wait for her next one!

Things to Mention: Two kisses with little to no detail.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a really cute romance and a good plot too! It was fast paced which I loved cuz I never got bored! I would definitely recommend but probably not read again since im very picky about what I read again. It also has some Christian elements!

content warnings:
swearing: none
romance: hand holding, flirting, kissing (barely detailed)

This was a really quick feel good read in one sitting book. I liked how light it was and how cute Morgan and Will were. The only this is that, because it is so short, you don’t get to know the characters that well. I would have really enjoyed to hear the backstories behind the characters, especially with Ava. Fran made my blood absolutely boil, but I guess that’s what her character is supposed to make you feel.
Overall, if you have a free few hours and want to read a fun book, I would recommend.

This was recommended for fans of Kacie West, and it was okay, but definitely not as good. I just didn’t think the characters, or story were well developed enough, and it took me several tries to get into, and to get through it. A good read tho for 12+ though.

Cute, sweet, and simple romance. I appreciate that it was clean. Nothing too exciting, or shocking, but a nice read.

3.5 !! Feels good to finish a book, I'm just not the type of person for a semi love triangle or anything like that. Leo can like die because whys he so toxic and it seemed like he was abusive kinda with the way he wouldn't let Morgan leave at the end..

Let me start by saying I did not expect to rate a contemporary YA romance this highly, as it's not usually my preferred genre. But this book was amazing. It was really sweet with a well-written plot and characters. I've been looking for the *perfect* contemporary YA romance, as most of my previous experiences with contemporary YA romance haven't been what I was hoping for, and this comes pretty close to perfect!
So the fact that the setting of this book was a wedding was a GENIUS move, for many reasons. In my opinion, romance books need to have a strong subplot/setting for the romance to feel genuine and not forced. I think that's why a lot of contemporary YA romance tends to feel forced, and historical/fantasy romance usually works better and feels more realistic. The fact that this was set in a wedding timeline makes it flow really well because there are always several things happening at once, and overall, it's a very busy time for everyone, with all of the wedding prep going on. I won't spoil it, but my most favorite scene from this book actually takes place because of a last-minute errand for the wedding. It's a huge turning point in the plot and really works well with the story!
The characters were also awesome. Will wasn't my favorite at first, as it was a bit of a rough first impression (as intended!), but I think the rest of the book really made up for it. Morgan was also a great character, and wasn't naive or annoying, which I was glad about as I don't like when fmc's act that way! They were so cute together,
I do wish the pacing was just slightly slower, as I think it would have made the enemies-to-lovers romance a bit more realistic. However, I think the romance was really well done even with the faster pacing.
The writing style, with the alternate POVs, was a pleasant surprise, and I think reading about the mmc's side of the story, and not just the fmc's, prevents the story from feeling unrealistic. Also, the scenes where Will defends Morgan were the best!!!
Overall this book really exceeded my expectations - I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a well-written, clean, and lighthearted YA romance.
Content: a few kisses. the word "crap" is used a couple times. Overall a very clean book.

4.25 ⭐️! This was only 190 pages, so it was super short, and it was kind of reminding me of the summer of broken rules with the whole wedding aspect and it was so fun! I was a little unsure about the main girl in the beginning and she was annoying me, but she got better as she spent more time with Will, and some of the scenarios they got put in were super cute! I loved that Hudson and Ava kept trying to set them up lol.

I loved the book. It was a clean and ✨scrumptious✨ romance. I loved watching the enemies to lovers trope unfold. And I love the fact that almost the whole family (and friends) were trying to set them up.

Pre-read for MS/HS library- hooray for a solid, sweet, age appropriate rom-com for teens! I could confidently recommend this to my students and put it into my library. Nothing spicy or vulgar, just a sweet and quick moving story that follows your typical rom com story arc while encouraging honesty, bravery and friendship amidst growing romantic feelings.

This is the BEST ROMANCE EVER!! Is it possible to give books more than five stars? Cuz if it is, I NEED to give this book like a zillion stars--it's that good. I read it because it was compared to Kasie West books, and it definitely lived up to the comparison. The writing style was smooth, in 1st person present tense pov. I used to diske like this writing style, until I found a great book using it, and now I love it. Morgan and Will are so cute together!! I feel like Wills name didn't suite him for some reason, and when i found out that Will and Morgan are both big readers, I was so excited! If you can't tell from this review, I love to read. I probably read like five ish books a week. And Liam... Liam was so annoying. I know that he HAD to be in the story to create conflict, but he had me grinding my teeth, hoping that he didn't break Morgan and Will up, or create some kind of love triangle. Luckily, he didn't. The ending was so sweet! And that scene at the jewlers, OH MY GOSH!! That was so funny and so sweet! This book had me cracking up and grinning, and I'm sure that people were wondering WHAT was going on with me.
CW: A few kisses that are undetailed, this is a romance so you get the teasing about liking a boy and some characters call others cute, some mild language.
This book was squeaky clean, and needless to say, I loved it. It did use the enemies to lovers trope, which I really like! The author used it perfectly, and even though Will and Morgan fall in love in like a week, its definitely NOT love at first sight. If anything, it's enemies at first sight. So don't hesitate, you when to buy this book. The three dollars spent are DEFINITELY worth it.
(Did you buy it yet? If you haven't, go ahead!! Its so good!!)

Age Rating - 12+ (some romance, some kissing, no language, no spice)

I love this book so much!!! I mean for one, it's by my favorite author, but it was really good apart from that! And I'm fairly certain it shows because the first time I read it, I also re-read it back to back and twice through in 24 hours 🤣

But anyways, I re-read it because I was going to a wedding, and seeing as a wedding is the setting for this novella, I was like "why not re-read it?" and I loved it like always 😊

I love that this is completely clean, and Christian fiction as it is by a christian author. The romance is really sweet and the love interest is literally adorable in the way he acts. It's a enemies-to-lovers trope (and I cringe saying it's enemies-to-lovers because it's contemporary, it's really just rival-to-lovers) and that is my second favorite trope, just down from childhood best friends to lovers, so I really enjoyed it. It is a rom-com so there were many awkward situations that would in no way happen in real life (I hope 😬) and it was just really fun. It's a novella, so an easy quick read, could probably be read in like two hours.

DNF'd at 50%.

Rating 1/5

I really liked the sound of this book and it was exactly was I was in the mood for – a cosy, summertime romance. But, unfortunately, it didn't deliver. There was a lot wrong with this book, but I will keep my review short as I didn't even finish it.

My issues:

- poor writing with awkward and unnatural dialogue (almost reads as a first draft)
- grammatical errors – e.g. no question mark where there should have been
- unlikeable main character
- generic/weird side characters who are way too invested in the MC and her love interest
- contrived plot points

To sum it up, without trying to be harsh – this book just comes across as lazy. It is a very generic YA romance with cliched scenes and bland characters. I could have overlooked all the unoriginal aspects of this story if it hadn't been for the bad writing and poor grammar.

Spiritual Content: This book was written by a Christian author, so there is some mentions of God and the Bible.
