The Omega Accords #2

The Alpha's Arrangement

Rate this book
I found you when it was too late to love you

My omega came to me when I'd given up on ever finding happiness. And then his alphas appeared in my life too, and I realised just how much of a joke I really am. As a rare female alpha, I know well enough what my appeal is to the males of my designation. But I'm who I am and I won't change that. My omega isn't mine and he won't be ever. That much is clear.

The more time I spend with Barren, the more I learn there is something terribly wrong with him. The bruises in his eyes, the fear, his uncertainty all scream red flags. When his pack come to me with an arrangement to save him, I have no ability to say no.

Scarlet Waring is perfection and our damnation. She sweeps in bringing the broken parts of our pack together and repairing them until it's like we are new. No one is left untouched, unchanged by her. She is the light we all turn towards, the music in our lives. But our mistakes are too big and we can't let them come back to hurt our omega, not again.
She'll help us get him strong. Then she will leave. She's not our alpha. Not our pack.

Our arrangement has a time limit on it. Happiness can't last forever.

This book is a why choose novel, meaning our female main character will end up with three or more partners. There is also MM content. Please read the trigger warnings inside the book.

Not great for me

This pack treated her abysmally, like she was crap on their shoes. They used her, when she was at her lowest and then threw her away. They never ever apologised just sent a few gifts and it was all, cool we are back together then.

Book was well written but I hated the last third. I wouldn’t accept being treated like throw away trash, and that she did, and it finished like that, really turns me off.

I DNF-ed this pretty quickly. I want to say chapter 11 was around when I got tired. But the biggest issue I had with this book and why it felt so easy to call BS and walk away, was one, the breakneck pace and two, that this female Alpha felt like she was still trying to be shoved into an Omega adjacent or affiliated box.

She may have called herself an Alpha. Might have insisted on the title and displayed some tendencies required to solidify her designation, but never did I ever actually feel like she was an Alpha. And this was way back at the beginning when she should be riding that dynamic full throttle. Within a single day she’s ok with being harassed into dinner, dinner again, and then staying at their house to avoid a storm and her willpower just crumpling.

Even at the end (bc I read the last couple of chapters too), when she’s supposed to be ticked and hurt and make them grovel, she’s SO fast to taking them back. She just doesn’t feel like an Alpha bc I see her get stepped on and railroaded more than I see her have more believable self respect for herself or her boundaries as a supposed female “alpha”. The FL just feels soooo weak sauce and basic and that’s not what I was hoping to find here.

great storyline; lacking ending

The plot is mostly well written, and then it wraps up so disappointingly.

The pack uses her (to kill the 2 former pack members who hurt Gold and Bar - which was never flashed back to) and really hurts her emotionally (rejecting her so she would leave because of a few letters from Merry).

The plot is lacking a logical progression, and it takes the pack 3 months to finally try and get her back. There is a decided lack of apology and no grovel. Oops it took so long to come to you because they needed to find the cave of the dead one’s belongings. What???

The first 75% is really good, and I do not even mind the rejection, because emotional angst is great. The last 25% was weird - introducing new characters for future books I am assuming and some weird party as the first meeting for all of them afterwards. Barely an apology, and nary a grovel in sight. Plus she’s pregnant. Ugh.

So many opportunities to be great missed, so only 3-stars from me. Sigh. If only …

Once again Tea has hit it out of the ballpark. I read book 4 out of order and was captivated by the story. Then I went back to read book 1, Missy’s book and that one was so good too 😊.

Both books had Scarlett in them and I was dying to read the story of a female alpha as the main character and this book did not disappoint.

I loved that she was as strong and smart as any male alpha but Tea wrote her as soft and feminine as well.

Each of the male characters were so clearly defined, when it came to the part where Scarlett read their letters I knew from the start of the letter who was writing it.

I usually like an epically written grovelling when the boys do our heroine wrong, but it really wasn’t needed. The wooing was absolutely perfect for Scarlett. She was shown how much she was needed and loved.

Now onto Onyx the beta’s book 🙌

should’ve dnfed this book

For a female alpha, Scarlet sure was an omega. And this is one of my biggest issues with this book. It demonstrated that Ravine has very little knowledge of omegaverse dynamics, and furthermore it’s very clear that a female alpha to Ravine is just a stronger omega. BORING!

In addition, I felt like the main conflicts in this book were trivializing because there was no depth and they got resolved so quickly outside the characters’ interpersonal conflicts. I’m all for smut but there was literally no romantic or intimate connection between the romantic interests outside of this. It also happened so frequently that I felt like they had no real relationship to even encourage some of their actions.

Several of male leads lowkey were superfluous, their presence had no bearing on the novel and if you erased them the story would go on fine.

Overall this book was incredibly disappointing because I dared to hope for more. This just continues to prove that straight omegaverses are an incredibly weak subgenre to reverse harem because one’s actually willing to challenge anything.

The vibes are haunted manor/ gothic suspense, little red riding hood (except everyone is a wolf).

The story follows Scarlett, a rare female alpha, who was kind of unceremoniously dumped from her pack of losers. Looking for a fresh start, she returns home to a little cottage in a remote village, only to find that the old manor at the top of the hill has been taken residence by a pack… but not just any pack. The pack of her scent matched omega.

I loved the struggle each character faced as they recovered from a lot of trauma in their backstory and, in particular, the way Scarlett was able to find balance between the icy shell that’s protected her her entire life and the softness starting to emerge as she spent more time with the pack.

Female alpha stories are always my favorite!

There were things that didn’t quite work for me in this story, but overall I flew through it and enjoyed it.

‎Something was missing—and it was the consistency of the characters in the story.

‎The second thing was the alpha side of the FMC. But I guess that never existed in the first place 😍👍

‎When I started reading this book, I was promised a female alpha FMC from the blurb, which also implied she was hurting from her old pack. So, I was hoping she’d be strong, capable of standing tall even with her demons, and probably able to eat spicy Thai food without breaking a sweat 😏

‎In the first chapter, she was already mad, and I was like, hell yeah, queen!! Curse whoever made you upset. Her monologue suggested she saw herself as a wolf (her words), wasn’t afraid to call people out, and spoke her mind. I thought, okay, that’s good?? 😧

‎But then … it just vanished 💨

‎Everything faded the moment she met this male omega named Billy or Barrel or Baron (honestly, I didn’t care) who was her scent match. Think of him like your average omega who loved knitting blankets, was depressed for whatever reason, and apparently wanted her too but already had a formed pack with five or four guys. And one of them was the FMC’s stepbrother who "hated" her. Yeay!!

‎So what did the good alphas do when their ball of anxiety wanted a girl they thought already had a pack?

‎A. Knock some sense into him. Remind him he already had five dicks he could suck like popsicles.

‎B. Invite the girl in because their fluffy boy believed she was theirs and pray the girl had some kind of therapy magic.

‎They chose B. Hooray! 🥳

‎No problem. Everything was fine. Good thing our therapist—I mean, the FMC—was willing to be a doormat.

‎And just like that, her alphaness became a myth rarer than the Loch Ness monster. It drowned, folks.

‎As the story progressed, I kept asking myself if this wolf girl was even a real alpha. She teared up whenever stepbro was mean to her because oh no, where is the boy she used to know??? 🥺 She let omega Brandy or Benedick dictate her life. She kept looking for reasons to stay with people who took advantage of her. It was honestly pathetic and painful to read.

‎Not to mention, there was no consistency at all.

‎One moment, omega Bindy—I mean Brian—was too depressed to even exist. One alpha had very clearly stated he hadn’t had intimate contact in ✨ six ✨ months, not even a kiss. And then, a few chapters later, he literally bulldozed the FMC, guitared her like he was trying to win The Woods Got Talent, and threw down an Uno Reverse Card so hard I was certain, for a second, HE was the alpha or that the scene was a dream.

‎It wasn’t 🙂

‎Also, if I were a poor ladybug living in those woods and accidentally witnessed that scene, I would’ve sued them for property damage and retinal surgery.

‎Even in the other spicy scenes (as far as I read), she didn’t show her dominant side. One touch from anyone, and she would be melted, moaning like a broken radiator. Like, come on??!! Alpha is called alpha for a reason. I didn’t expect her to dominate five men. I would’ve been okay if she was a switch. But the FMC here acted more like a second omega. At this point, I genuinely thought the author had a constant typo issue and meant to type “omega” instead of “alpha.” But hey, that was just my opinion 🤔

‎A few chapters later, I realized I had no idea who was who. The new pack had, like, seven members. Her old pack maybe had six. Their descriptions blended together like a salad plate thrown by a toddler. I imagined all of them looking like Jason Momoa if Jason communicated solely through growling (at least 127 times a day) because he couldn’t form a full sentence, was gay, and had a DID disorder.

‎Everything centered around the male omega Benji or Birdy. I hated it with all my heart. This is NOT what I expected from a REVERSE harem story.

‎I’m done. My other one star books usually made me laugh at how silly they were, but this book couldn’t even do that. No entertainment. I straight-up wasted my time.

‎The only thing this book gave me was a reading slump. Thanks 🔥

I was absolutely blown away by this book.
I was super impressed with the depth I saw everywhere.
It was full of well-developed plot, highly detailed characters,
incredible sexual tension and intrigue.
This really is a masterpiece of a book.
If you liked Pack Darling by Lola Rock and how it completely obliterated you,
you will love The Alpha's Arrangement.
(Only in this book the heroine is an Alpha instead of an Omega)

So far one of my favorite reads!

It's the way that, even by the end of the book, the pack is not grateful for what she's done for them. There's no real grovel, there is NO apology... BFFR

Mystery and suspense in this intriguing omegaverse. Sexy, compelling, fantastic characters, great imagery. Female Alpha meets male omega and his pack. Their scents call to each other, but their pain and pasts get in the way. The pack development is even better than the first book in this series and I can't wait to see more. I loved this edgy omegaverse pack and their many interconnecting relationships.

Now this one was the best in the series for me. Scarlet having lost her pack returning to her cabin in the woods. The story was more in depth, Barren was a sweetheart and then there was Gold, the stepbrother. Third act break up where the guys really needed their mouths glued shut. Scarlet being the alpha despite that and taking care of things and the guys groveling. Jet was fun. Taylor was a dick. Gold's protectiveness and possessiveness was the best bit. One I'd read again.

WOW! This omegaverse was everything I ever wanted! The most badass alpha fmc? Check. ✅️ The most adorable, sassy male omega ever? Check. ✅️ A group of fierce and passionate alphas? Check. ✅️
I just wish the book was a bit longer because I definetly felt like these characters had so much more to say BUT all in all, chef's kiss. ✨️

Omegaverse Reverse harem + MM
First person, pack pov
CW: blood, murder, throwing glass, also the main character doesn’t have the best relationship with food, past primal play which is not reenacted in the present
Stand-alone

In terms of smut, you get a few individual scenes with the main character and some alphas, a few threesome scenes with the omega and an alpha and general touch, and a kinda group heat scene, and about two half group scenes at the end. Some of the scenes felt a little muddled, I wasn’t sure if an anal or oral scene was happening at some points. It’s also a little odd that they don’t talk about birth control or even STIs. That being left out along with the disgust towards male omegas and female alphas feels like it’s a conservative society. There is some girl hate as well before the third act which is not the best.

This book has a lot of tension, served with a side of cute coziness and sadness. Since it is a 288 page book, or actually maybe it feels longer because some pages go on for 3 pages on kindle. We don’t get as many lengthy conversations but what needs to be said is said. I wish we also got a full MM scene with the male omega to showcase what their relationship was like or even an MM alpha scene from their povs, because we see it mainly from the main character’s pov so that’s not shown to its full extent. Some of the off screen MM is showcased in the main character’s pov to mention that she feels left out, which added to the tension. We also don’t really get any alpha main character knotting scenes, which felt a little off, if the alpha can use her lock on the other alphas, surely they can knot her as well right?? But that’s not really considered.

Apart from that, touch was well incorporated! You get cuddles, hugs, cute spoon feeding and sleep. The love interests are well differentiated as well.

There is some very slow growth with the main character picking up on the ‘vibes’ of the pack and how they react to her differently and how they uphold a healthy relationship, but you get some tell not show in that regard, also I thought it would be a cute growth slow burn story at first but I wasn’t happy that the tension stayed until almost the very end.

The omega has a bubbly personality and the pack is mostly welcoming as well. One pack member doesn’t like her but it’s clear from the first moment that he cares. You get a bit more tension added on later from another pack member who is a little hesitant as well and the third act is a little rough

For pacing, the plot moves through scenes pretty quickly! Or it just might be the longer pages thing, It makes the pacing feel slightly slower. You don’t really miss anything with time jumps, apart from a few omega MM scenes being more fade to black, and the groveling timeline is way longer but it’s cut out so you don’t notice how long it actually was but then you get to the pack scenes faster. You also feel like taking a lot more breaks while reading this book

In terms of the third act, it’s planned in advance so it feels like a slowburn crash creeping up on you but still hurts, tbh Taylor should have known that would backfire badly. There are a few continuation style errors involved that confuse me. Jet says he will change the terms, way in advance but then he doesn’t? There are some secrets kept from the reader and some of the motivations for the third act don’t fully make sense either. The third act felt sudden and orchestrated because we don’t know the full story. It also doesn’t fully make sense why it had to go down that way. Apart from that, the “wolf” nickname is odd because that’s a story that she is unlikely to tell them but it’s still coined for her.

Heartbreakingly Beautiful

I’ve never been a huge fan of female alphas. They are often times depicted as being a female version of their male counterparts and the look is not appealing to me. However the Alpha’s Arrangement paints Scarlet as more than her designation, as a woman. With all the softness and gentleness women typically are. Scarlet grew up with a semi nuclear family, her mom and dad doted on her. Until her omega mom found her pack and moved on from her family. Scarlets dad however cut their losses and found a beta woman to continue his life with and they all had a normal family life. Well, as normal as can be when you throw two teenagers together and the ultimately fall in love. But that happiness was shattered for Scarlet when she presented as an alpha and was banished from her home at 16. Over the next 14 years she learned to survive, nay, dominate the world. Through prejudices about her designation, through patriarchal views of what women should be and how they should act. She made an imposing name for herself in the business world. But these prejudices followed her into her home life. She found herself with a “pack” that took advantage of her impulsive need to provide care for her “family”, used her as their own personal bank, and treated her with distain and rejection. When the rest of the pack found their omega and made it perfectly clear she was not going to be pack, like the elegant bad azz she is she politely bowed out. Leaving behind her only friends, family, home and the business she lovingly built from nothing to preserve and protect them. Weeks later she’s now building a new life for herself, in her grand ramshackle cabin in her hometown. And lo and behold what is that delectable orange/citrus scent that seems to follow her everywhere she goes? A chance encounter with a beautiful omega on a running trail through the forest sets her on a path the love and family she’s always craved. But there’s not a HEA just yet. Because this omega and his pack of four alphas have such a traumatic history Scarlet must find a way into their hearts, the hard way. This story is so poignant to me, it showcases OV in a way I have never experienced it before. Scarlets feminine alphaness, the packs deep rooted love and brotherhood and how they all move to care for their omega is so touching. When push comes to shove Scarlet unleashes the alphas she’s kept shackled most of her life and brings her pack, her family together with an added bonus. In this book you find the alpha tendencies we all love in the pack. Caring, protector, sunshine and the main lead that keeps them all together. With the spicy dominant omega that still wants all the snuggles and shiny beautiful things. Scarlet rounds out and compliments this pack in the best of ways. This story has made me rethink my position on female alphas and I cannot wait to see what else Tea Ravine has in store for us all. Happy reading Friends!

This was decent. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a book that gives me a convincing female alpha. They always end up feeling like a beta or even an omega. Scarlet has moments, but ultimately this character could have been a beta without affecting the plot, her personality, or even her background story.

There are little inconsistencies that bother me. We find out that Scarlet needed years of therapy because her time on the streets made her possessive and aggressive about her belongings and about food. But when someone breaks into her cabin (not just any cabin, but her grandmother’s cabin where Scarlet was loved and cared for) and steals her things and trashes the place, Scarlet doesn’t react at all. She reacts less than even a normal person would. She leaves a note for whatever homeless drifter that says “help yourself.” She never mentions seeing someone watching her or the break ins at her cabin, even when she’s aware two violent former pack mates are in the wind.

The pack decides to drive her off rather than tell her about the threats on her life. It’s not clear why they even think this would keep her safe from their psychotic and homicidal ex. It’s a very illogical course of action. Why wouldn’t they want an extra alpha around to help watch out? As far as we know, Merry isn’t Jason Voorhees. Can’t six alphas take one crazy Omega if they see her coming? Apparently not, since Art and Merry break into the house like ghosts and then use the exact same plan as the first time to try to kill them.

Scarlet doesn’t bother using her super dominance or alpha bark to make Merry and Art comply, even though earlier in the book, it was clear she could. Why not? Wouldn’t that be easier than the whole charade?

Scarlet and the pack get back together in the end. But it feels a bit empty to me, because the story went off the rails when they broke up with her.

If you spend your time in your head/observing people more than talking to them, then you'll enjoy the initial chapters of the story and you'll be hooked.

I love that Scarlet is a female Alpha. I think this is the first book I've read with a pack courting an Alpha, and not a pack that has a female Alpha but they are actually courting a male/female Omega.

I always love a practical FMC. Scarlet was on the streets, faced rejection more than once so I was happy that she had her own money/nest egg/she could pick up and leave on a whim and knew either way she'd be all right.

And she also knew how to take care of herself which I absolutely loved.

There is an aspect of rejected mate that I did not like and generally steer clear of. There's step-sibling relationship as well which I'm not a fan of.

There was an aspect of backstory from the other book/character history that wasn't really filled out in a satisfying manner when it came to supporting characters in the story.

The book was also long. It was just shy of being unnecessarily long and I got so mad each time something was happening and neither Taylor nor Scarlet discussed it with other members of the pack. I know it served as a bit of mystery plot as to what was going on but I found it annoying/frustrating as they could have put all the pieces together much earlier.

So, enjoyed this. I may read more from the series.

🔥 OmegaVerse
🔥 Female Alpha
🔥 Full Male Pack with Trauma
🔥 Psycho Female Omega

The Omega Accord’s is a series of currently 4 books that are all interconnected but each book follows a different pack. I devoured the whole set of 4 books in under a week. The series as a whole is so good!!

The Alpha’s Arrangement follows the Alpha Scarlet from the first book. Her pack that she didn’t have bonds with did her dirty and found themselves an Omega but Scarlet is not wanted. Scarlet leaves the city for her cabin in the woods where she literally runs into her scent matched Omega. BUT he already has a pack of Alpha’s and doesn’t need her or so she thought…

This is by far my most favorite Omegaverse book where the main female is an Alpha.

My Personal Ratings:

5 Stars: Loved it! Couldn’t put it down or obsessed about it while needing to get to the end of it. Had to share some bits with my hubby!! Usually read in less than 2 days cause a girl has got to sleep sometime. Will be reading everything this author has to offer and most likely reread the series as next books in the series are released.

4 Stars: Really Good. Whether the story drew me in or a specific character, will definitely continue the series and look into more books by this author.

3 Stars: Enjoyed something about the book, whether it be the storyline or a character but also may have not liked something. Sometimes the book is great but needs some TLC from an editor. May or may not continue the series.

3.5 rounded up to 4.

(**Mild spoilers**)

I love reading female alpha stories and feel that there are enough female alpha's out there.

Scarlet wasn't a typical alpha - all dominance and rage. She has a range of emotions. She can be feminine and sweet, deadly and dominant, sexy and vulnerable.

Her Pack is just as complex as her. The Omega is so possessive and broken. The Alphas Taylor, Gold, Jet and Acton are a complex bunch too.

The pairing is fire, but the story fell flat because... There was a second chance without proper grovelling and Scarlet accepted them without making them suffer.

I understood her actions, her pack was already suffering by causing her pain. But I like my heroines grey who don't forgive easily.

The plot was great, the foreshadowing was good too. But the villains fell flat. I mean what's the point of defeating a villain(that your pack has been unable to defeat) if it costs you only a knife in your thigh.

I know it's tough to write Alpha female but this book was a sweet and different take that even the alpha can feel out of depth and have self-doubt.

Excited for the next book.

With Regards,
Love.

3.5 - 4 ⭐️’s Needs some fixes to take the rating higher.

It was the same issue with this one, as the first…
I start out struggling, almost not liking any of them.

But bit by bit, I grow to care, to see the different characters, and accept their flaws.

There are some definite issues here.
For starters, at no time is physical abuse acceptable!
Particularly in the case of carers making excuses, justifying, and accepting based on another’s pain.

No matter how much someone is hurting, it doesn’t allow them to abuse another.
That needed to be said and acknowledged in this story!

Also, there were some plot holes that I struggled to understand?

SPOILERS ALERT 🚨

She supposedly has this Uber dominant Bark, but doesn’t use it against the baddies?
Why didn’t Taylor hire security guards?
Why wasn’t Bar jealous of Hazel?

Regardless, this was still a highly entertaining story, and I’m more than willing to read more.

The only real change plot wise that I would want, is for Scarlet to have stronger Alpha moments.
To show how dominant she’s supposed to be, while with the pack, as well as those vulnerable, sensitive ones.

Standalone with all the feels....

This author is new to me, but my goodness I'll be keeping an eye out for her work from now onwards! This is a cracker of an Omegaverse story. So different to the majority of stories out there, I loved that this book had me absolutely sobbing. We follow Scarlett Waring, beautiful, successful, wealthy, ice cold and the rarest gem of all, a female alpha. Reeling from a broken past she retreats to where she was happiest as a child, and bumps into a rare male Omega, and boom, biology kicks in, he is hers, and she freaks and runs. He belongs to a pack of alphas already, and devastatingly they all are a scent match. But both sides hold secrets, in some cases dangerous ones. Will these secrets be flushed to the surface alongside hurt, betrayal and rejection or will they stay quietly buried forever alongside Scarlets heart?

Fantastic read, I couldn't put it down. It's that enticing unicorn of a book where there is the perfect blend of story, intrigue, feelings and lots of spice.

Tô tell the truth, I don’t know how to feel about this book… I mean, it made me feel SO MANY things that… I honestly don’t know what to say.
I didn’t like the sex… I don’t know why though… while I read those steamy scenes, literally anything distracted me, it was really weird. I felt so involved during the drama and angst moments, the relationship development and all, but in the meanwhile, the sex was so… meh, I couldn’t focus or pay any serious attention to it, to be honest… I hoped it would end soon lol.
I think the story got so much potential, that the result kinda of disappointed me… which is really sad, but it’s my own fault for creating expectations. You live and learn, I guess.
Still, the fact each men had a completely different personality from the others was so unexpected, and so well done, I mean, the book isn’t so long but the author made sure to creature uniquely personalities for each one of the guys! It was the first time I knew exactly who was talking before anyone described it, cause the way they talked was so… individual, it was just so them, y’know? One of the best harems & character personality of the books I’ve read so far. That’s it though, the end was pure BS lol. With all due respect, of course.

Omegaverse
Fated mates
Female Alpha
Knots
Step-brother

Scarlet is a rare female Alpha. After being with a pack for 10 years, her pack find their Omega and the Omega doesn’t want a female Alpha.

Finding herself suddenly pack-less, Scarlet moves back home to her Grandmother’s cabin and meets her scent match Omega Barren. However Barren already has a pack and has been through great trauma, can Scarlet help Barren heal whilst finding love with a pack that accepts her for who she truly is?

I love the Omegaverse genre and this book didn’t disappoint. Well written and with great characters, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to read about Alpha’s and Omega’s (and knotting 😈).

Tea is a new-to-me author but this book was so good I’ve gone back and downloaded her book ‘The Omega’s Contract’ to start next (sorry TBR 🙈).

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Mysterious, Heartbreaking, and Suspenseful
This story had me gripped from the beginning, I could not stop reading. Scarlet's story is not only heartbreaking but beautiful. This was also one of the first stories I read with a female alpha and male omega, so it was interesting to see the dynamic but also interesting to see how the pack functioned and integrated.
There's a lot of mystery and pain surrounding her pack story, though, a lot of baggage to unload, and that's what makes this entire thing so gripping. Everyone has to make insanely difficult choices for the betterment of the pack, and despite them feeling so wrong, it's a necessity.
I loved reading about the strength of the characters, the fact that they don't give up, and getting to read from each of their POV's really helps us get into their heads and see their thoughts and how they contradict their actions, making the story all that much more difficult emotionally. It's so very well written!

My favorite part about the book is that there is a male omega/ female alpha dynamic. I enjoyed the meeting of the characters, the development of the story was fun and intriguing, fast paced and kept me turning pages. I didnt feel like there was a lul anywhere, I definitely stayed up way too late reading. I also really loved that each character had a pretty full and compelling personality and didnt feel like tropes meshed together.
That being said the conflict that draws its peak at the end of the book felt underdeveloped and the reveal of the motives made little to no sense. I appreciated the direction of the story and could navigate the set up enough where I followed along and knew what the author was trying to do but I didnt find the ending as hashed out as the beginning and middle of the story.
That being said, I was able to read it as a stand alone and enjoyed it.

So I accidentally read the 3rd book in this series first and then essentially decided to just go backwards and read this one next. I did like book a lot, maybe even a little more than the 3rd because I think we got better insight into each character. I'm not sure if I'm in love with how the author portrays the MC's, in both books they start out with the intention of using the FML and that stays the intention for way longer than I think it should. My opinion is that if they're going to be unsavory then there needs to be a proportional amount of time where they grovel and make it up to our lead. There was more groveling in this book than the last which I enjoyed, and some characters such as our male Omega Barren, very firmly stood on Scarlets side the whole time which I appreciate. Overall I do enjoy the series though and tend to finish them very quickly.

A change-up with a female alpha and male omega

This was a bit of a different take on an OV book. Female alpha and male omega, with a pack of alphas already mated to the omega.

I was surprised by the interactions during the heat. I was not expecting that.

This storyline definitely brought emotions to the surface. Scarlet had such a hard time since she presented as an alpha. I liked that she was powerful but kept that power hidden behind a mask until she needed to use it.

The guys were obsessed with Scarlet. Taylor had to keep his distance to keep the pack safe. Gold had to overcome his past to accept her. Acton was so used to bring feared, he was so happy to be seen by her. Jet was the funny, happy-go-lucky guy, and Barren was the omega that wanted his female alpha all along.

"The Alpha's Arrangement" by Tea Ravine is one of the best Omegaverse books I have read so far. <3

It is a captivating addition to the omegaverse romance genre, breaking away from traditional tropes with its empowering and fiercely independent alpha female protagonist. This novel not only challenges stereotypes but also offers a fresh and engaging perspective on love, power dynamics, and healing. One of the standout qualities of this novel is its celebration of female strength and independence. Scarlet serves as a beacon of empowerment, defying stereotypes and proving that love can thrive in relationships where partners stand as equals.

Will surely be looking forward for more of Tea Ravine's work!!

oh how i loved this books!

Pack Knight! Lordt to be a fly on that wall! I love how convenient these third act breakups be lmaooo. Scarlett finding her pack and getting a little bundle of Joy to love on! I’m glad they took care of the two psychos that were targeting Barren! Really glad Gold stopped being such a grump and meanie to Scarlett. I love her nickname for her “Red.” Taylor and his oh so calculating self! I’m glad he saw the error in his ways and went about correcting them! Acton with his big burly self!! Loved him. He’s the sweetest! I really loved the Jets playful self the most! It was crazy how quick he could get my girl out of her bra lmaooo. Fun times. This book was great and loved every minute of it! ON TO THE NEXT!!!

finally dnf’d this one at 39%. it took me almost a full year to get that far, and i just really, really was not enjoying myself. i think the biggest issue is that it felt really weirdly misogynistic in a very non-self-aware way. the female alpha acts specific ways and is perceived certain ways because she’s a woman, and SOMETIMES that seems to be recognized in a meta sense, but not always. there is a weirdly pervasive idea that women ***should be*** naturally submissive, in that the FMC is naturally far more submissive than the MMCs, even sometimes the omega?? i don’t know. maybe if i had pushed on it would have finally addressed it, but i found myself dreading opening it because it felt so frustrating to see how everyone, it seemed, felt allowed to treat the FMC.
