One minute, divorcée Rayna Brand was dropping her twin sons off at college, the next the empty nester found her car pointing west! Back to Big Sky, Montana, to Hideaway Ranch, once her home. She’d left it, and neighboring ranch heir Dean Legend—once her one and only—for a “bigger” life, only to find it was anything but…
And what of Dean, the boy-turned-man she was never able to forget? The single father of two girls says he’s never stopped loving her and wants her to stay…even if his older daughter is not exactly keen on the idea. Perhaps working on making this Christmas everyone’s holiday to remember might prove that she and Dean are each other’s forever, after all…

Newly divorced, and having taken her twin sons to college, Rayna Brand returns to her hometown of Big Sky, Montana, and the ranch where she grew up, Hideaway Ranch, where her sister is working on turning it into a boutique hotel/retreat resort. And Rayna finds herself helping, along with Dean Legend, neighbor, and the high school crush she couldn't forget. And apparently, he never stopped loving her.
The characters are well written and very interesting the story line very realistic. I had to keep the Kleenex handy I have read some of these stories but will be rereading them.
I liked it but I was disappointed that the ending chapters seemed to focus more on the family staying at the airbnb and on a couple whose book is more than likely coming out next. I also don't feel the author successfully dealt with Paisley's feelings for Rayna. Rather than hold meaningful conversations to bridge their gap, they just tended to avoid each other.
