Three chiseled professional athletes. One single woman. And a little girl who will bring them all together.
When these guys showed up to board their dogs, I thought they were just a trio of extremely handsome men. I definitely didn’t know they were the three most famous athletes in St. Louis.
Christian, the stoic, broad-shouldered quarterback who oozes leadership and confident charm from every pore. Braden, the blond wide receiver who’s extremely cocky—when he’s not being a mischievous goofball. Logan, known as the Toronto Terror, the hockey left wing who growls more than he speaks and has a habit of picking fights on—and off—the ice.
They started out boarding their dogs kennel. Just regular customers without any funny business. But before I know it, I’m making out with Christian and Braden in a limo. While Logan’s intense eyes rake over me when he thinks I’m not looking.
And then one day, Logan drops off his daughter without warning. He expects me to watch her? I babysit dogs, not children. But soon this little girl captures my heart even more than the three chiseled athletes…
NANNY FOR THE ATHLETES is a scorching, stand-alone reverse harem love story filled with humor, suspense, and excitement. HEA guaranteed!

“Dumping Claire” is a common sentence in this book. Don’t say dumping her on me it makes it seem like she is a burden. Pushing for hugs with a 6 year old is weird, I get it the first time when she says “hugs are for family” but you don’t have to bring it up everytime they are together it’s weird. The ending is rushed? Epilogues are not meant to be resolving the conflict of the entire story, they are meant to be flash forwards or something extra. It felt like when you don’t know how to finish an essay for school so you just wing it.

The heroine:Beth - she recently inherited her grandmother’s house and left her high-power job as a business analyst for a more relaxed existence as owner of a dog kennel. While attending a hockey game with her boyfriend Trip, she gets a lead on her first customers. It was her first time at a hockey game and though she wasn’t a hockey fan, she really enjoyed watching despite how her boyfriend kept announcing how great the seats he got were and how much they cost.
The Heroes:Christian, Braden, Logan - they are some of the most well-known athletes in St. Louis. Christian - he is quarterback of the professional football team that recently moved cities from Indianapolis to St. Louis. The team hasn’t been doing well, and they are getting a lot of opposition about the fact that the team changed cities. Braden - he is the wide receiver for the St. Louis Colts and works with Christian, who is his best friend. He and Christian had a girlfriend in Indiana, and she didn’t move when they did. Logan (a.k.a. The Toronto Terror) - he is from Canada and plays left-wing on the St. Louis Blues, the pro hockey team. He is a broody, growly beast who loves to fight and is good at it. He is also friends with Christian and Braden, he and Christian are brothers-in-law.
The Story: Beth got to talking to Emily and Leslie, who were there because Emily’s brother Logan played for the hockey team they were watching. She tells Emily about her new business owning a dog boarding kennel. Emily tells her that Logan has four dogs, and Leslie says her brother plays for the Colts and also needs a new place to board his dogs during the season for away games. She wasn’t happy how much Trip denigrated her new business telling her how much of a risk she was taking.
Like all of Cassie Cole’s reverse harem romances, this one had plenty of steam, and I liked the fact that the guys were used to sharing a woman, so it was a natural thing for them to want to do that with Beth. The story was good; I loved the addition of the dogs. They each had their own personality and all were lovable. The dog boarding business angle is such a fun addition, giving a natural reason for Beth to meet her love interests while also showing her independence.
This audiobook was narrated from multiple perspectives, done in dual narration by Ramona Radcliff and Julio Maxwell. Romona has a nice voice and sounds about the right age for the character of Beth. Julio Maxwell has a decent voice, though I like a deeper voice for alpha males like this. One thing about this audiobook that bothered me is the fact that a bunch of sentences were repeated, so the editing was faulty.
I have very mixed feelings about this book. But overall it feels very rushed to me. There’s a lot of inconsistencies, and the editing seemed to focus on grammar and not the changing of things happening. In one chapter pickles and Heidi leave with Christian, then the next chapter they’re with Beth then the very next chapter they’re with Christian again: like no one noticed the dogs magically changing locations during the same time frame. This isn’t the only one that occurred, the author would write one thing and then later write the complete opposite; this as a whole makes me feel like she was rushed while writing and wasn’t paying attention to things she already established. Also I genuinely feel like the MMC’s were just trying to find someone to replace their ex and that just happened to be the FMC. The author does a poor job of explaining why any of the men are actually interested in here especially at the beginning and it’s basically because “oh we just broke up with the girlfriend we all shared and need to replace her with someone here.” The FMC spent all of five seconds considering a polyamorous relationship before diving right in. There really wasn’t any difficulties until like the last 15% of the book then all of a sudden there’s a bunch of different things going wrong at the same time. And my last point is that the author clearly doesn’t understand the concept of an epilogue. If your epilogue is wrapping up the all the loose thread and complications the characters are experiencing that’s the climax of the book and your last chapter… not an epilogue. I liked the characters and the plot was interesting to me, but like I said it felt rushed and it’s hard to tell why any of the MMC’s wanted to be in a relationship with the FMC or in a poly relationship to begin with. I finished the book but it definitely was a struggle to get through.
I really enjoyed reading this story. It kept my attention throughout. And I love Cassie Cole's Reverse Harem books. She brings a fresh perspective to poly relationships that you don't see in other books in this genre.
We meet Beth and her terrible boyfriend at a hockey game. He's bragging about being in the front row and constantly telling Bet this fact. She starts talking to a lovely couple sitting beside her and Trip (awful boyfriend) gets offended. She's trying to drum up her business (a doggy day care), and Trip doesn't see the use in it. Thank God she dumps him. Not before he sends her a bill to pay for half her share of the tickets to the game.
The two women she was talking to were sisters to two athletes in St Louis. They gave Beth's card to the men and the rest is doggy paradise.
Logan - the brooding Hockey Player. Christian (Uncle Chrissy) - the hunky star QB Braden - the lovable wide receiver
Each man comes to Beth in spectacular ways. You will enjoy their interactions, the way they each fall in love with Beth, and the steamy sex scenes are off the charts.
Voto - 3.5 .
Mi chiedevo come sarebbe stata, realmente.
“Neanche… a lei?” “No. Avevo paura di dirglielo.” “Paura di cosa?” chiesi. Nell’abbraccio, sentii che alzò le spalle. “Di essere troppo aperto. Di spaventarla. Di farle credere che fossi debole.”
I hadn’t read a Cassie Cole RH in a while, so when I saw this one just came out I decided to give it a go! I loved the setting of this one, we spend a lot of time with the h and her dog boarding business. I loved all the dogs and their crazy antics. It was funny how the dogs were similar to their owners… So now that we talked about the most important part, the dogs, lets have a look at the men ;-). I liked how they were all so different and distinguishable. We get the goofy jock, the serious steady one and the grumpy damaged one. I liked them all equally and they all had great chemistry with the h.
What I didn’t like was that these three guys had shared a girlfriend before the current h and couldn’t stop talking about how great the ex was and it keeps being referred to as a devastating break up. They didn’t want to break up with her and tried to make her move with them, but she didn’t want to. One of the H’s even says he felt his ex and him were like two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together and he was madly in love with her with all of his heart…these kind of things were never said about the current h. She feels like a consolation prize. The H’s couldn’t keep the ex, so they’ll settle for the current h. There was nothing making the current h more special than the ex (and she was mentioned a lot). There was also another ex for one of the H’s that he keeps saying she was his first love and he thought she was the one for him. The ex broke up with him and left. Why all this talking about all the great exes and how special and great they were? I don’t need that in my romance!
So, even though I really enjoyed the setting and the super steamy spice, the above really made me enjoy this less. I would’ve also liked an epilogue about how their life was after a few years, how did they make the 4-some work? Did they get married? Have children? The bonus scene was only about the sisters’ marriage and a bit disappointing.
Safety: OW: see above about the ex. OM: h is dating a co worker at the start of the story. They break up and he keeps coming back. The H’s scare him off, but he keeps returning. No cheating (RH) No separation / no third act break up
From there, everything changed for the best for Beth. She was taken by a short term boyfriend who started showing his real colours at the game after talking to a couple of women beside them. Beth recently quit her job to start a dog boarding business, and it just so happened that the two women knew one of the hockey players and a couple of football players in need of such a service! Those football players were Christian and Braeden, who immediately showed an interest in Beth. Logan, the hockey player, wasn't far behind.
It's a book with some plot, even more spice, and a little bit of drama. I will say, in my personal opinion, the first steamy scene involving Logan was very well done and one of my favourites!
If you enjoy a sporty romance, I'm sure you'll enjoy this read! The sports don't take a back seat in this book like some others do!
What started as just a temporary nanny job turned into something more when our heroine fell for all three heroes. Can they all make a life together or is that too much to hope for?
This is a reverse harem romance story. The story is well written and easy to read, with well developed characters that each make a unique contribution to the story. I loved how quickly this one diverged into something more than the characters intended. Of course, all the steam that came with it was definitely a bonus. The story was fun to read and very enjoyable. I look forward to reading more by this author.
Highly recommended.

Not sure I will read another of Ms. Cole books because of poor editing and so much focus on sports that the relationship between the reverse harem seem to lost in the sports theme. It left me feeling a bit of confusion with the confusion with so many separate threads along the way that it leaves the feeling of multiple combined stories. Also the sexual thread from beginning seem to focus on first time experiences.
If this is your first experience with this author (or any author) I found it helpful read Reviews beginning 3, then 2, then 1 as a method to discover if the book will be entertaining of boring.
I'm really not sure where to begin. First, the cover shows 3 people in a relationship, but there are 4 people. Then, it repeats the first sentence in every other paragraph. I think the worst is that they are talking about NFL, but the game is played on ice. That's all in the chapter. I couldn't finish it, unfortunately
Beth left her job as a business analyst with Anheuser- Busch to open her own business as a dog nanny on the property her grandmother left her. Little did she know that taking a chance at career happiness would lead to meeting and exploring a relationship with 3 of St Louis' hottest professional athletes.
Logan Landry plays for the NHL and is a Left Wing for the Toronto Terror. Having grown up in foster care with his sister, he struggles to express his emotions and let others into his hardened heart.
Braden Clark is a top NFL wide receiver for the St. Louis Colts. Happy go lucky just like his Golden Retriever Pickles, he tends to fly at surface level with relationships. Sex is great but diving deep into emotional attachment is not a play he excels at.
Christian Baker is the hot new NFL QB for the St Louis Colts. Just like his German Shephard Heidi, he views life from a more serious angle. Analyzing life, football plays and relationships from multiple angles is his thing. He's calm and cool, always under control.
Will these 3 star athletes and 1 professional dog nanny be able to successful navigate the world of living as a polygamous couple? When Logan's ex-girlfriend from college passes away and he's left to raise an 8 year old daughter he never knew he had, will the addition of a child derail all hopes of this foursome finding happiness together? Challenges are forces upon them at rapid speed. Will they learn to work together to finally become the family each so desperately wants but never knew they needed?
"Nanny for the Athletes" is an uplifting tale of overcoming obstacles and life's challenges, only to discover the true meaning of family. This book has a genuinely likeable cast of characters with some insanely HOT chemistry! Sexy times are plentiful and left this reader wondering how to enter into a polygamous relationship herself. ;)
Nanny for the Athletes is a must read and dare I say, one of my favorite books I read in all of 2023.

Beth Foster is at her first hockey game with her boyfriend Trip. Trip insisted on buying tickets right up against the glass. Trip thinks Beth is stupid for quitting her corporate job where they met to start her own business. Beth inherited her grandmother’s house. It sits on a big piece of land so Beth is starting her own dog boarding service which she named Lizzy’s Dog Boarding to honor her grandmother. At the game, 2 women are sitting next to them and Beth talks to them during the intermission. Emily’s brother Logan Landry is a hockey player for the St. Louis Blues and has four rescue dogs. Leslie’s brother, Braden Clark is an NFL wide receiver for the River City Colts who just moved from Indianapolis to St. Louis. He also has a dog. The ladies ask Beth for a business card because their brothers and their team mates are looking for a reliable place to board their dogs when they have to travel for away games. Beth gives them her business card prototype.
Trip is mad that Beth didn’t pay more attention to him at the game. He comes to her house expecting an apology. He belittles her again about her lack of business even though she has only been open for two weeks. He gives Beth an ultimatum and they break up.
Braden’s best friend is Christian Baker, the quarterback for the Colts and he also has a dog. The two guys stop by to see Beth’s facility with their dogs on their way to the airport. Instead of dropping the dogs off at the boarding place they don’t really like, they give Beth a chance and leave the two dogs there for the weekend. Logan ends up dropping off his four dogs when he goes on a hockey road trip.
It was interesting how the three men have different personalities but they all want to share Beth. Besides the budding relationship, Beth had to deal with her ex-boyfriend Trip’s antics and Logan had to deal with suddenly finding out he had a seven year old daughter Claire.
I enjoyed the twists and turns this story took. Another hot and steamy read by Cassie Cole.

This story was done so well. The relationship between the main characters, develops very naturally and doesn't feel forced. The intimate scenes are varied and described with enough detail that I could picture what was happening without having to think too hard about it or pull out articulated dolls. I kept waiting for the kid to walk in, though. Old houses are not very good at containing sounds within individual rooms. I was also waiting for someone to get hurt inside the house, since it's mentioned at the beginning how much work the place needs to make it liveable. Yet, she lives in it for the entire book, and we never hear about any repairs being made.
I do feel like the last tantrum the child throws is never fully addressed, even after earlier tantrums were followed up with discussions about why she felt how she did. Also, the author aged her up in the span of months. When we first meet her, she's described as being six or seven (which fits other timelines in the book), but for the last several chapters, she's eight. The female lead changes her age for a core memory throughout the span of the book, as well. She might've been six, might've been five.
I had a small issue with how the ex-boyfriend was handled. There's a piece of information the FMC says can be proven by a text message, but then she says later that it was spoken, and that causes an issue. Why did we need to do that? Why couldn't she have had a screenshot of the conversation like she said she did earlier on? This made the last interactions with the ex less satisfying than they could've been
This book follows Beth, who just quit her job to open her own dog boarding business/ kennel. While at a hockey game, she meets a couple women and they talk about her new business, and take some cards promising to give them out to friends and family to help Beth's new business. Enter Braden and Christian, two professional football players, who come in to board their dogs while they are away for games. Next comes Logan, the professional hockey player and also a friend of theirs. Becoming three of Beth's most famous customers, she begins to date Braden and Christian. Getting more and more business from their friends and teammates. Suddenly, through tragedy, Logan finds out that he is a father to a 7 year old girl. With no idea what to do with her while he has a game, he drops her off with his dogs and asks Beth to watch her too. Soon, Beth starts dating Logan as well, and finds out that all three are not only friends, but all interested in dating her together. This was a fun read that had heat from the relationship plus plenty of sports to keep you entertained if you're a sports fan too!
I love a good story that tells of personal growth and struggles. Logan, who plays professional hockey is well known for his temper during games, but when he learns of a child he had to his first love when she dies suddenly, he is thrust into learning how to adapt. Christian and Braden are football players for the Colts and Logan’s best friends. To support him every inch of the way. Beth has just started a dog kennel on her newly inherited property from her grandmother. She is taken to a hockey game with her soon to be ex-boyfriend and meets Braden’s sister and future sister-in-law, when they ask her about her new job. They tell Beth that they will be recommending her to the football players who owned dogs. What starts off as a new business opportunity soon turns into a polyamorous relationship with all three guys, and then the addition of Claire, Logan‘s daughter there is a happy ending for all of these characters.

Beth (h) tries to launch her dog boarding business and a chance meeting at a hockey game offers her a chance to gain new clients. Football players Christian (H) and Braden (H) come by with their furry friends and the spark of attraction ignites with the men wondering to themselves if Beth would be open to a shared relationship. Hockey player Logan (H) is a bit more reticent given the way their last shared relationship ended, but he finds himself turning to Beth for more than dog care when he suddenly finds himself father to a seven year old daughter, Claire, he never even knew about. Things heat up quickly for Beth, Christian, and Braden, and while Logan takes a little longer to warm up to Beth, he’s all in by the end. Some funny moments with the dogs, especially Loki, and with Claire too as she adjusts to her new life. Some external angst but nothing the found family can’t overcome. Hot and steamy RH romance with some smiles, a little angst, and lots of love all around.
When I want to read a reverse harem story Cassie Cole is where I go. She wrote another wonderful story with highly likable characters that drew me in with their drama, their chemistry, and of course their steamy romantic encounters written into this delightful romantic story. This story is about Beth our nanny and her guys: Christian the football quarterback and Braden the football wide receiver for "The Colts" whose team just moved to St. Louis, and Logan the hockey left wing of the St. Louis Blues, and our adorable little girl, Claire Logan's daughter. Beth's at an ice hockey game seated by the ice with her boyfriend Trip. She gets talking with two ladies seated next to her talking about her new dog boarding service. This irritates Trip to leading them to break up. Meanwhile, Braden and Christian having an away game check out Beth's kennel and decide to leave their dogs, Pickles and Heidi. This leads to more in this enjoyable copy I received and volunteer to read and review.
This is a kinda sweet story about a dream coming true... The lady Beth has started a dog sitting business and she is on a date with her jerk of a boyfriend when she sorta meets her future... Well his sister who she gives her business card, which leads to three new athletes who have dogs for her to watch... Then that leads to lots more dogs from other athletes, associates, and word of mouth.... In no time she is hiring more help... When the hockey player finds out he's a father he needs Beth to help him and his two football friends take care of his daughter when he's gone to away games. She is a fun little girl who starts out afraid of dogs but then she assumes the role of the helper... Its a good story that kinda focuses on the dog sitter job and the little girl and there are issues with her ex, the guys possibly getting traded, and a social worker taking away the little girl, but through all that they build a loving family.
Beth, recent new owner of her grandmothers house and land has left her corporate job to open a dog kennel. She meets two women at a hockey game with her current jerk of a boyfriend and those women lead her to her first customers. Christian and Braden are teammates on the new local football team and friends with Logan, a hockey player. The three friends tend to share a girlfriend. Beth breaks up with her jerk boyfriend and immediately gets involved with all three guys, whom also had just been through a breakup. The relationship evolved fast and there was a slow buildup of a ton of drama and then poof it was all over in like three chapters… Lots of spicy scenes, descriptions were a little strange… she goes from saying @$$ to rear? Claire the little girl that was raised in a cult and now Logan’s daughter was cute and strange. Overall, my first by this author, not sure if I’ll read more but probably. 😁
Absolutely loved this new RH my Cassie, in my opinion the queen of RH. This was a really good story, with lots of sexy sexy sexy times. The story was great and we were give a good insight to all of the characters. Beth gives up her hum drum career to open a dog kennel. Just inherited her grandmas house and land, Beth pursued her dream. Dating a loser had its benefits as she was able to discuss her kennel/boarding business with two ladies at a hockey game. This lead to one thing after another and before she knew it business was booming. Her love life also was just the beginning. Logan a brut of a hokey player, Christian the gorgeous QB and Braden a WR playing their dream jobs. Together they all a HEA.

Beth knows what she wants to do with her life, she starts with taking a chance and opening her own business, a dog kennel. Her current boyfriend,Trip, is more negative than positive so she breaks it off. Their last outing as a couple was a NHL hockey game and she gave her only business card, the sample, out to the couple who sat beside them who promised to pass it along. Success is in the cards for Beth but everything requires a chance. A great story that flowed naturally with amazing chemistry and feelings. I loved the characters as well Christian, Braden, Logan and even little Claire are sure to steal a little piece of your heart at the end. Enjoy! I read this as an ARC but bought the book for my forever library.

3.5: Beth has just quit her job to open her own dog boarding business. The book starts off with her at a hockey game that her boyfriend took her to. She meets two women who promise to spread the word about her new business.
Beth ends up busy because of the women’s referrals. What she doesn’t realize is that her life is going to change.
Braden and Christian play for the recently relocated St. Louis football team. They’re last relationship ended because their girlfriend wouldn’t move. Logan plays for the St. Louis hockey team. He’s happy to have his best friends in the same place but was heartbroken when their girlfriend wouldn’t move. Yes, they shared a girlfriend and preferred it that way.
Quick read. I felt like the characters didn’t develop as much as a relationship as in previous books by this author, but I still liked it.
I enjoyed this story and giving it a 4.5 out of 5! Beth leaves her job to start her own business, opening a dog kennel. Her then bf Trip takes her to hockey game where Beth does a little networking and happens to be sitting next to Logans sister and Bradens sister. The guys essentially get her business moving more steadily.
Logan is a hockey player and such a grump at first, but he's been through a lot and doesn't process his trauma well until he finds out he's a dad and the hero of Beth.
Christian and Braden both play for the football team, quarterback, and wide receiver. I loved all of these guys instantly. The relationship between them all flowed so naturally that there was nothing forced. This book also had me laughing and really feeling for them to mostly with Logan and his daughter.
I am a big fan of Cassie Cole’s books. This one had a few parts that I didn’t really like/feel. I didn’t feel like there really was any love between the characters. I kinda felt they were still in love with their ex and just wanted a replacement. And Logan, he said something’s to Beth that I would not have taken. Like he says “if you’re the kind of woman that invites herself on someone else’s vacation, I suppose you can go” im he was nothing but rude to her. Like I said I didn’t get the feel of any connection. I hate saying that because I like the characters and the premise of the book. The other thing was Braden making rude comments about letting Claire help at the kennel. Like there is nothing wrong with a child learning responsibility and chores especially if they enjoy it. I really liked the story until these rude comments and behavior started happing.
This was a cute sporty why choose story. I really liked the FMC and how she started her dog boarding business and through lucky connections ended up as the unofficial boarding facility for the city’s professional athletes.
I liked each of the MMCs and how much care was put into making each of them unique and this gave different relationships with the FMC. I love their found family feel between the MMCs.
This was fast-paced, steamy, and fun. All the characters (especially the dogs) were fantastic and the storyline was interesting and engaging.
The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that while the characters and relationships were great, the surrounding plot of what was going on in their lives fell a bit flat for me. I didn’t feel a strong story arc. But the great character development mostly made up for that.
This was a lovely sweet story but started off with Beth's boyfriend Tripp showing his true selfish colours when he took her on a date to watch the game. However had he not taken her she wouldn't have met the sister of one of the players who helped her doggy care business grow. Her dream of happy ever after didn't look too well until she met the 3 hot men who would make her world complete. This story was sweet, sassy, funny, emotional but also mega steamy then throw in a cute innocent little 8yr old girl called Claire & I was hooked, once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Definitely recommend this book.
