Being a lady’s maid is the highest position Miss Rachel Eaves has ever dreamed of. Fancy gowns and handsome princes don’t belong in her world. She’s happy to serve her mistress, the Duchess of Coldingham, even if her husband is rather terrifying.
She doesn’t mean to make the young, handsome Viscount Aylesbury think she’s a proper lady. But telling him the truth would stop those warm smiles and kind words…
Edward Aylesbury has one goal in marry a wealthy lady. It’s the only hope for his family. He absolutely cannot have his head turned by the pretty young redhead he meets on the side of the road.
Especially not when he realises she’s a lady’s maid.
Is there any way they can cross the class divide to find their fairytale ending?
This is a SWEET Regency romance with a rags-to-riches heroine and a cinnamon roll hero.
D K Quinn loves nothing more than curling up with a large cup of a tea and a regency romance. She adores the drama and the dresses of the past – even though she is quite happy with all the comforts of the present! This was a new experience for me reading something by this author and I really enjoyed it. It's a charming story of people from two classes falling in love. Rachel is a lady's maid to a duchess, and is very content with her position. When she meets Edward, a viscount, he mistakes her for a Lady. Edward is so easy to talk to and so very kind, it's no surprise Rachel fell in love with him. He is also quite taken with her, but when he finds out the truth of who she really is, is a union between them even possible? A delightfully charming and sweet story that I am happy to have had the opportunity to read. The story was engaging and well-written and the characters were lovely. I enjoyed this sweet Cinderella story! Thanks to StoryOrigin for providing a complimentary copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I am such a sucker for a love story, especially one like this. Abuse and societal expectations can cause many scars. It only takes the love of one person to start dissolving those scars and when there is more than one loving you, they can disappear almost completely. Rachel had fallen in love with a Viscount. She could be fired for talking to him, but he was so kind and easy to talk to. Edward had to find a wife with money to help his estate out, but what would it cost him. I really liked this story. The type of rags to riches fairy tales that young girls like

This was a new to me author, and I liked the story enough that I purchased the first book in the series to get the backstory on the Duke and Duchess. Rachel Eaves is lady’s maid to the Duchess, and she comes from a poor family. Edward, Viscount Aylesbury is trying to settle the debts his father left and take care of his estates and his mother and younger sister. He has decided that the best way to do this is to marry an heiress. This was a sweet Cinderella story, as love conquers all. I received an ARC from StoryOrigin, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I really enjoyed this book! It was a sweet Regency story. Viscount Aylesbury needs to make a match with a large dowry so he can afford to support his Mother and sister, and repair their estate. Before the Season starts, he visits his cousin, hoping to make a match during his visit. Too bad he keeps running into his cousin-in-law's maid. But he doesn't need a love match, he needs a fortune. This was clean and cute. Looking forward to reading more in this series and seeing what else the author has written.
Another really sweet read from this author! I really like Rachel! She is so kind and I feel awful for the horrible things she endured at the hands of her father. I'm glad she found someone she could trust and didn't shy away from. I'm also glad that Edward accepted Nathaniels help so he could marry Rachel. Everyone deserves love, even lowly ladys maids. And I really hope Henrietta gets her head out of her butt for how she treats both Rachel and Emma, whose a freaking duchess now!!!!!!
What a nice clean romance! Although this scenario of a viscount falling in love with a lady’s maid would most likely have never happened, it made for a wonderful Cinderella story. I love how the whole situation was handled, and how supportive the family was. For me, it was worth the read!
