Great book for sports fans who are interested in stories behind the biggest names in Major League Baseball. It also explains the terminology and strategy of the game simply enough for a grandmom to understand without bogging down. I think my grandsons will enjoy it! I also appreciate the author's inclusion of positive attributes of players. I hadn't realized Babe Ruth was sent to a reformed school but was encouraged by a worker to put his efforts into baseball, turning his life around. Apparently he regularly visited hospitals and orphanages to give back to the community.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book for free in exchange for my review! All opinions are my own.

I have always been fascinated with baseball from a young age. I love to go to baseball games and cheer on my favorite team. There is nothing quite like the atomsphere of the ballpark. This book is perfect for any young boy or girl who is baseball obsessed and it would be the perfect thing for children to bond over with their parents or grandparents. There is nothing quite like America's pastime! Go Sox!!

I've been a baseball lover since I was a kid so I greatly enjoyed this cute book of biographies of baseball players. The players chosen were the ones the author would choose as his starting line-up inlcuding the manager. The names may not be who everyone would choose which is part of what made this so interesting. Including were honorable mentions and runner-up choices as well as information about players from around the world.

There were pictures and stats of all included players. I also liked that before beginning the author gave a run down explanation about what the baseball acronyms and statistics mean.

Overall, this is an awesome resource for the young baseball lover. I'm so glad I read it and I look forward to sharing it with my son to see his thoughts on who his starting line-up would be.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
