Things aren’t always as they seem…
Even in the merriest time of the year.
It’s Christmastime in picturesque northern Maine, and Jess Butler is both excited and stressed about the thought of spending time with her parents and siblings during the holidays. Glad to have her husband Scott by her side, they make the trip, just a few days before Christmas.
Expecting a warm welcome from her parents, Jess is alarmed to discover that her parents seem to be missing…yet many of their necessary items, including their cell phones, have been left behind.
Jess and Scott immediately begin a search and make a tragic discovery that leaves them reeling.
The rest of the family trickles into town, complicating matters significantly, and Jess is faced with trying to solve a mystery while dealing with old family feuds and repairing relationships in time for the holiday.

Entertaining mystery listening 🎶🔰
This is a kindle e-book novella from kindle unlimited
Jess and Scott arrive at her parents house but no one is there. They check ✔ the neighbors house and find his dead body. Back to the parents house where her sister and family have just arrived. Still no parents, they call the police who can not come because of a traffic jam on the highway. More family show up and the lights go off. In the morning the truth comes out leading to the arrest of the killer and beginning of a Merry Christmas.
I would recommend this novella and author to 👍 readers of Christmas Season novels 👍🔰. 2024 👒😤😮🏡

Great mystery. Not too gory but definitely has reader stuck to the story
This was a great book and had lots of twists and some surprises. The story focuses on an adult daughter who comes home for Christmas and finds several things not like they should be. She and her husband venture to a neighbor's home and things are not at all ok! As her siblings, aunt and cousins arrive they all become part of the puzzled situation. Great story with a surprise ending.

Christmas Novella
This is a very quick cozy regarding the disappearance of the matriarch and patriarch of a family and the death of their elderly neighbor. The story progressed at a good pace and included prevalent family tensions.
