Rebekah Sinclair writes books that bite back.
Dark rom-coms. Greek mythology retellings. Wicked fae. Billionaire antiheroes. Her stories blend unhinged humor, high-stakes heat, and emotional wreckage you’ll thank her for later.

With 11 published novels (and plenty more on the way), Rebekah has built a world of morally gray men, stabby women, and plot twists that hit like a betrayal kink. Whether you’re into serial killers with soft spots, gods who fall too hard, or fae realms soaked in shadow, there’s a love story in her lineup that will ruin you—in the best way.

Off the page, Rebekah is a single mom to five wildly chaotic kids and four fur-babies (two cats, two dogs, all equally dramatic). Writing started as her escape. Now it's her full-blown career, complete with exclusive covers, spicy book boxes, and signings where readers show up wearing eyeliner sharper than her plot twists.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably hiding from her kids in the pantry, pretending to be brainstorming.

Welcome to Rebekah Sinclair’s world.
The spice is high. The stakes are higher.
And no one makes it out emotionally intact.

"What if the healing you need is in the love you are avoiding?"

This surprise novella was everything. The love I hold for Calypso is has no limit. This book is about Calypso and her two mates and the events she went through leading up to their mate bond connection and shortly after. It's her story and its heartbreaking, beautiful, and more heartbreaking. I cried, I laughed, I blushed, I sobbed. This novella came to make you feel with every fiber of your being. I was hoping to be able to read her story when it's mentioned in passing in book one and this is the best surprise. Although, I couldn't emotionally prepare myself, knowing what is going to happen hits so much differently than reading all the details and the emotions that occur.

Please check the trigger list before picking up this book as Calypso's story may be beautiful at times, it also has a lot of heartbreaking content. Calypso's backstory is a very traumatic one.

I received this book as an arc.

First off, I want to give Rebekah Sinclair a huge thank you for sending me an ARC of this book!

This is a short and beautiful story about the wind siren Calypso and her two mates. This gives readers a snippet into the past and a different understanding of Calypso and the first book The Forgotten Goddess.

This book was written so beautifully, and it just shows how much Rebekah has already grown as an author!

This book shows that even in our weakest moments, we are strong and that sometimes love can heal even the most broken parts of us.

Wow Rebekah truly you have me in a chokehold with your writing. I felt so immersed and the stakes in the book became personal. Excuse me while I lock myself in a closet to scream, cry, and throw up 😂🤣 This novella is a MUST read for TFG fans.

The Unforgotten Flame is a beautifully heartbreaking recounting of the love and loss that Callie and Achilles experienced thousands of years ago. The power throuple: Callie the warrior that believes her darkness with in her will consume everything in her path, Achilles who fears being rejected or left behind, and Patroclus the patient one that found a way through Callie’s darkness and Achilles uncertainty.

We will always remember our Flame 💔

Thanks Rebekah for sending me an ARC of this! It did not disappoint 🥰

This novella checked off everything I want in a book!

☑️Great Characters 👱🏻‍♀️

☑️Emotional Connection😭

☑️Action🔥🌪️

☑️Spice🌶️

First off I love Callie’s character and it was such a crazy ride learning how far she has come and what happened in her past. I do recommend you read The Forgotten Goddess BEFORE this. It picks up right where you left off. That being said I got so wrapped up in the story of Callie, Pat, and Achilles I almost forgot how things end. (You find out in TFG). This book will wreck you in the best kind of way and I loved every second of it! Not to mention the spice.🥵👌Very tastefully done. I love stories of overcoming hardships and this was great!

If you have not read The Forgotten Goddess, stop what you’re doing and go read it. Seriously…go read it! Spoilers if you haven’t read it!!!

The Unforgotten Flame is the story that was mentioned by Hermes to Rhea regarding his sister Calypso and her mates, Achilles and Patroclus. He doesn’t elaborate on it…but Calypso does in this book.

Last chance…if you haven’t read The Forgotten Goddess, turn back now.

You learn in The Forgotten Goddess that Calypso had been held as a prisoner for some time. You also learn that she had 2 mates but one was tragically lost in a war. This book starts off where book one leaves off. Having received her memories back, Calypso feels defeated and is reminded of all she has lost in this on going fight to save the forgotten goddess. She goes into detail about her torture and the assault while she was captive. She recalls the story of her being saved and falling in love with not one but two fellow Elementals and her slow but determined climb out of despair. And she remembers her connection to the forgotten goddess as well as the tragic loss of losing one of her mates.

This story was phenomenal. Even going into it knowing the general outcome, I couldn’t put it down. Rebekah’s writing is exceptional! She knows how to bring out the feels. I already fell in love the characters in book one but this book just solidified them in my heart!! Rebekah has a fan for life!

Um, first of all, Rebekah, HOW DARE YOU?! My heart is ripped out and smashed to smithereens! This story holds too many emotions for me. Horrified, anger, losing hope, then gaining hope again just to be sobbing because such a beautiful bond between the 3 characters have formed with each other has been diminished. I am still in awe at what has happened and it will forever live rent free in my mind. Such a beautiful love story of patience, resilience and being the glue that binds Achilles and Calypso together and HEALING wounds of the mind. Patroclus has been such a selfless role even until the very end. And lemme tell you, Rebekah can write smut like it’s nobody’s business! While forming the connection with the 3 bonds, it was getting hot and steamy! (Fanning myself) Absolutely loved this novella!

Why do I ready Patroclus and Achilles retellings and think that I won’t have my heart ripped out? 😭

But having them in a throuple? A fated mate throuple?

It’s triple the love and triple the pain.

I enjoyed this novella way more than the first book. I think it’s because Calypso/Callie is a more complex and interesting protagonist than Rhea. This book gave a heartbreaking glimpse into Callie’s backstory which is filled with unimaginable pain, love, and heartbreak. There were a few moments that gave some hints and context to Hermes’ and Rhea’s backstory as well.

Overall this was a great read and I hope the rest of the story keeps this same quality.

I knew what was coming, yet I couldn't look away, and the knowledge of what was to come did nothing to assuage the pain it inflicted.

Rebekah Sinclair delivered a novella with the depth and impact full length novels WISH they could evoke. It's all the more powerful for its brevity, in a single day I was taken through the full range of my emotions. Worse yet, despite knowing the fate that awaited him I couldn't help but fall for Patroclus, hard.

The events of The Unforgotten Flame are alluded to in The Forgotten Goddess, but you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't experience them for yourself in full.

This was my second book I read of Rebekah, and she did not disappoint... Please read this book before you read the 2nd book in this series.
This book was a five-star read for me, and it had more spicy than the first book for me.

It is a book about Calypso and her mates Achilles and Patroclus. It is a beautiful and tragic telling of their story. I'm so glad she told it and cause it gives you and answers all your questions about how mu h of a strong woman Callie is. I loved everything about this book, and yes, it broke me at the end, but I know it gives her fuel to do what she needs to do.

It also gives us more info on the character name Rhea. So, I can't read the next book.

A tragically beautiful tale featuring some of the memorable characters from The Forgotten Goddess story. This backstory tale allows the reader to dive into the past and see further into the lives of our gods and goddesses. A small taste to hold us over until book two releases.

This book was far more heartbreaking than I anticipated it was going to be. This was one of those stories that felt true to real life, where the story doesn't end at your happy-ever-after.

The most interesting aspect of this story, for me, was the use of the Fated Mates. In Fae and shifter stories, the use of the Fated Mates trope is so bad that I don't like reading it. The connection between mates, and the absolute unconditional care without the male turning into some inconceivably overbearing male was a breath of fresh air.

All of this being said, I want to warn everyone that there is on page S.A.; done in a flashback way where it is mostly cold truth about what happened but not in details and little to no details of it happening in the moment. You will read a character's spirit breaking. You will read heartbreaking character death and circumstances. If these things are upsetting or triggering for you, I would suggest reading with caution, I had to put this book down for almost a month, and it's taken even longer to write the review.

This is 4.5 stars for me. This book from start to finish was so heartbreaking. I definitely teared up at the end. This book is a backstory on Calypso and her two mates. This story talks about her time in captivity, her rescue, healing and relationship with her mates. The story was heartbreaking from start to finish reading about the horrid things she survived during captivity and also knowing from book one what happens between her and her mates at the end. It was so well written especially with dealing with such tough matters. I loved reading about Calypso and her bravery and strength even when at times she couldn't see her strength for what it is. Her mates were amazing in giving her time to heal and respecting her boundaries. I do wish there had been a few scenes with just the two mates to get to more and maybe even a spicy scene or two as the spicey scenes were either with just calypso or all three but considering her mates were together before they knew her I feel like they could have gotten their own scenes as well. But in the end this book will have you crying with Calypso for what she went through, cheering her on when she starts to heal on her own and when she accepts her mates and crying again for the ending.

Loved every moment of it.

This book is about Calypso who was captured by the princes of Troy and tormented while in captivity. All to protect her aunt who was taken with her. Eventually, she is rescued and is able to take revenge on one of the brothers. Once free she has to come to terms with what happened to her and try to heal as best as she can while also trying to find and get her revenge on the remaining brother. This is also done while trying to locate Ares who may be holding someone captive as well. While healing and in-between missions she can't get these two men out of her mind as she suspects they are her mates even though they are already mates to eat other. But she struggles with feeling good enough for them after everything she went through. But that's okay they are willing to wait for her as they see her for the strong woman she is.

Oh my GODDESS! This novella did not disappoint. It has the same descriptive and entrancing writing that I have come to love from Rebekah Sinclair during her novel, The Forgotten Goddess. If you have not read The Forgotten Goddess, please do so before you read the novella.

This is 1.5 book out of 4+ other books of Rebekah Sinclair's The Forgotten Goddess series. She went above and beyond with her writing and scenes on this. It does have some valid trigger warnings included, please check them out prior to starting The Unforgotten Flame. If you need to, please take breaks while reading this.

I really liked how the timespan goes as far as it does. Rebekah Sinclair did not rush the timeline nor did it feel lacking in the time jumps.

My favorite part was when Callie and Archilles finally have it out. They have had issues between themselves since the beginning that they desperately needed to figure out and address. Such a great way to build the anticipation of will they are won't they work things out and the resolution to it all was *chef kiss*.

The worst part of the novella was all the ranges of emotions that it pulls from you. It will have you laughing till you are crying one moment, then the next you are crying from something completely different. You will laugh, you will cry, you will want to absolutely send the author your next few therapy bills, but honestly that is not really a bad thing. Every part of the novella keeps you on your toes wondering what is on the next page, what am I going to feel next, etc.

I cried and laughed multiples times, then I was so UGH at the characters and their avoidance of one another, then I laughed some more falling more and more in love right along side Calypso. In the end, I was bawling my eyes out.

This is perfect for anyone who read and enjoyed The Forgotten Goddess, fantasy, Greek Mythology, along with fated mates. I am anxiously awaiting February 27th, which is when Rebekah Sinclair's newest book, Awakening The Forgotten Goddess, releases.

ARC review:

It is hard to believe that a book this short (only took a couple hours to read) could pack such a punch. I felt a full range of emotion from swooning, to sweating, to pure devastation: I was full-on sobbing at the end, and yet it was BEAUTIFUL from start to finish.

This is the backstory of some of the characters from Book 1, so I kind of knew going in how the story would end, but not HOW IT WOULD END. If you know what I am saying. I would definitely recommend reading The Forgotten Goddess first, just because you get a richer experience when you already have a familiarity with the characters and the world, but I think this could definitely be read on it's own or before the other book and be just as enjoyable. Might be a good gateway into Rebekah's writing style and the overall mood of the series as a whole for a new reader.

I think this one was a little spicier than the first one just because it is shorter, so there is not as much slow-burn. When the spice hits, it hits hard. :) There is polyamory involved and even though this is not a dark romance, I would recommend checking the CW/TW just because there are some parts of the story that are emotionally tough to get through and could be triggering to some people.

The characters are so richly layered, the banter is fun, the spice is hot, the action is great, and despite the tough/sad moments, the plot keeps you eagerly wanting more.

Overall, I LOVED it, and I will definitely be reading it again.

This novella follows Calypso through being a prisoner at the mercy of Ares and the princes to Troy over two decades. A chilling tale of a woman's refusal to break against the worst of torture.

She discovers a strong elemental being hidden as a captive amongst Ares’ possession and vows to one day aid in their release. Unknowing of the connection she has that runs ages deep to the elemental that is being held.

When rescue comes at the hands of her brother Hermes and his brother in arms Achilles she struggles to resume the life she once knew especially when a mate bond snaps into place with Achilles and his partner Patroclus and Hermes begins his search for the elemental, a lost goddess who he feels a pull to in his very soul.

Patroclus is gentle and kind, working every so subtly to help Calypso heal even when she pushes Achilles away. Once the trio finally overcome the insurmountable odds against them their love and power is a grand feat to behold, until Patroclus is ripped from them.

With Ares now responsible for the death of Patroclus and the imprisonment of the goddess nothing will stop Hermes, Achilles and Calypso from seeing vengeance served against the God responsible for their worse nightmares.

Rebekah, you had me crying for real!

This novella gives us the backstory of Callie, Calypso, and her two fated mates. You will get the story of how she suffered for years and years of torture. You will be there when she finds not one, but both of her fated mates. You will also get a little backstory of Hermes, when he’s looking for an unknown woman that he keeps dreaming about. And unless you have not read, Forgotten Goddess, you should know who she is, except this time, she’s going by a different name. If you know, you know what I’m talking about.

This book, like the first one, describes in beautiful details of everything around the characters. From the towns, to how the characters look, how they dress, and even the food that they eat along the way. She doesn’t hold back on the attention to details at all. There is more romance, spice, emotions, and action in this book. Especially, the action. It is jammed pack with it. A small book with so much inside for sure! I cannot wait to read the next book!

The Unforgotten Flame by Rebekah Sinclair is a novella to The Forgotten Goddess. This is a quick read. I did not have five star expectations for this book because it is a novella. This book took me on a journey that I was not prepared for!

As a domestic violence survivor this book holds a special place in my heart as does Rebekah for giving me a world that lets me know that I am not alone. There are triggers in this book so make sure to read them before you read this book.

When Calypso is captured she is tortured I've a long period of time. She is left to heal and figure out how to manage her bonds with her mates at the same time. This is Calypso's journey of torture, freedom, healing, to finding love and getting revenge! This book is a 5 star read that had my fighting back tears from start to finish! Rebekah, I am truly honored to be able to support you on your journey!

Rebekah, Rebekah, Rebekah…. You’ve done it again! Romantasy meets Greek Mythology with plenty of action, dark themes (check trigger warnings) and SPICE!

Written so well that you feel as though you are going through the events with the characters. A beautiful love that will leave you blushing and yearning and heartbreak that will rip you to shreds.
Calypso’s story was so intriguing in the first book that it made me yearn for her past with her two loves Achiles and Patroclus. Their love, darkness, fear and hope will restore your faith in the romance of it all. Their bond will leave you speechless and sobbing. The spice… get a fan ready because its about to get hotter in here.

I cannot wait for the next installment.

Devastated

I have been looking for more books that would break me and I honestly did not expect it from this novella. If you read The Forgotten Goddess before reading this (which is recommended)... you get a glimpse of what happened. A very short summary, if you will. But the events expanded and from the direct point of view of who was affected was just devastating..
And as someone who enjoys the playlists provided for the books themselves, the author has made it so that each song represents a specific chapter. She has set the tone and picked very well because it truly devastated me more.
Well.... now I have to "just survive" this and get to the next book in the series..

So I enjoyed this novella! I really was curious how Callies mates had came to be hers, and the tragic events that happened in their relationship. Super good!!

This Fantasy Romance is a spicy novella in the forgotten goddess series.
The book follows the love story of Callie, and her mates who are important characters in the series.
The book moves quickly, covering a large amount of time, and events in such a short story.
The book has some dark themes, please check trigger warnings before reading. While the book is not a dark fantasy there are darker events happening within this novella.
The romance is a slow burn why choose that has several spicy scenes throughout the book.

I absolutely loved this novella! It had a little bit of everything (spice, heartbreak, etc)!
I cried more than once, and the ending, good lord, I couldn’t even read the page through my tears! It might be shorter than a ‘traditional book’, but let me tell you, it still packs a punch!!
This was a fantastic peek into the past of Calypso’s life. It really showcased how far she has come & how strong she is! She has endured so much, she really deserves happiness.
Make sure to read The Forgotten Goddess first, for the full effect of the story!
