This is laugh-out-loud funny, even when the plot occasionally gets a bit serious. Natasha West’s characters always have that streak of likeable, and don’t get me started on some of the turns of phrase or we’d be here for hours. Hilarity in its best form. Read and laugh.

Alex is a public relations expert; she has been selling anything and everything since she was a child. She is one of those people with the charisma and the face to be able to pull off anything.
Leigh is almost the polar opposite. Even though she also works in PR, she gets her clients by being honest and open, and by others realising she is ‘straight down the middle’ as far as her work goes.
These two have a history - a decade ago they had one night, which ended badly. Now, a high profile couple are getting divorced, and Alex and Leigh are the PR agents for each of the couple, in direct competition. A recipient for disaster.
This is a really fun book, some great and funny moments, intelligent banter, a couple of unexpected twists, and a second chance slow burn romance.
Because of the nature of PR, all smoke and mirrors, the relationship we see between the two women is necessarily quite shallow for much of the story, and Alex especially seems to joke to cover anything remotely like feelings. Towards the end we see the real Alex coming out. We also see the women connecting in a deep way, but only really at the very end of the book - a shame we don’t get to see more of them together.
This is a romance first, but also the spin story is a huge part of the drive in this story, and that is exceptionally well done.

My first book by Natasha West. She created two very compelling protagonists and an exciting story centered around crisis PR. The romance came a little bit short and the conclusion felt a tiny bit short. It's a good story, which made me smile and hope.

Another thoroughly enjoyable rom-com from Natasha West, with a story that is not all that it seems, plenty of plot twists and surprises, and a lovely developing romance between Alex and Leigh.

I've read a lot of Natasha West's books, and I have to say that You Spin Me Round is one of my favorites by far. She is incredibly good at comedic writing, and while I was reading this I couldn't keep myself from laughing out loud, which is pretty rare for me! The book is filled with hilarious gems and lines, and combined with the author's snappy writing and clever dialogue, it was altogether a pleasure to read this story. There were a lot of moving parts, but they all worked together masterfully to result in an exciting, entertaining story.

The premise of the book is two "spin doctors" who work in PR and are representing two sides of what looks to be a very bitter divorce between two famous actresses. The catch is that Alex and Leigh, the PR reps, have some history between them. What I really liked was that Natasha West doesn't show all her cards right away-- things get revealed throughout the book to add twists and turns to the plot. And the descriptions of the morally gray world of A-list celebrities, the cutthroat PR industry, and the ravenous press really made me feel like I had to continue reading to see what happened.

Alex and Leigh are great characters who have a lot of definite chemistry, and I absolutely loved reading their fiery dynamic. And there are a lot of complicated feelings and family history that honestly made me tear up at times throughout the book, particularly when it came to Alex. The best part is, we get to see both of them grow into better people and grow together, and it made for a wonderful happy ending.

Any of Natasha West's books are great, and this one really hit the mark-- highly recommended.

This book has a pretty good average, apparently a lot of people like it. I guess i'm an outlier. If you like a book where the whole book is learning about them separately as the finally get together for the epilogue. This book may be for you, and read no further.

To me, it wasn't really a romance and i was kind of hoping for one - maybe with some feels worth rereading. Instead i got a story with the two mains apart for most of the book. I also felt that one of the characters was just unredeemable. Or was going to probably need help or go through lots of partners before she could become a good partner. But hey, Leigh can fix her, lol.

I also almost DNF, it took me three tries to finish the book. I stopped to reread books that i liked, the kinds of books where you go to reread a favorite part, but then end up finishing the book again. This was not one of those for me. The epilogue was nice, though i don't believe it. Probably closer to 2 for me.

fun

This is a fun read with some funny parts, it also tackles celebrity divorce and…well, something else but you have to read it to find that out.
Main characters met 10 years previously, the only thing that has changed is age and jobs. Even though it was only one night the feelings each felt have stayed with them. The road to getting back together has twists and turns along with the realisation you don’t need to always wear the outer shell, you can be loved for your true self.
Look forward to whatever West puts out next.

You Spin Me Round is the tale of a public relations disaster spinning increasingly out of control as the competing PR agents meet again for the first time in ten years. The setup provides a means for brining Alex and Leigh back together. There is some perfunctory back story, and there are several amusing scenes where they interact. However, the drama focuses on the divorcing couple leaving the reader to wonder about the relationship between the main characters. This is an enjoyable read, but happily ever after seems a stretch.

A pleasure as always

I'm a fan of West already, which, in my case, means I'm probably harder to please because my expectations are already high. This story met them, it was sweet, funny in West's particular brand of humor, and satisfying in the vindication sphere. I read it in two settings, it was pretty quick, and got all the spots I've come to expect from a Natasha West novel.

Very entertaining book with humour, drama, scandalous events. The story had a romance (second chance) storyline but the main focus was elsewhere.

You Spin Me Round is more like a traditional chicklit book than pure romance. I like the way Natasha West writes. And I like it a lot that she keeps books PG13 and romance and feelings are more important than spice and steam.

A good, fun read to start the year. It was filled with banter and had an overarching plot that wrapped up quite nicely. The characters stayed true to themselves whilst also growing over the course of the book. They were reliable and yet still managed to surprise me with their decisions and actions.

It's been a while since I've read a Natasha West romance and I feel like she's become a stronger writer since then. This was a highly fun read with a fun cast of characters--I just wish there was a bit more focus on the romance.

It’s very breezy and possibly a little too easy for the inevitable HEA but hey I had fun on the way there so I don’t fault it too much.

WHAT A WONDERFUL DELIGHT!

Very humorous. I couldn’t put it down. Alex and Leigh were a beautiful couple. Putting two actresses into the mix was too great. I loved this book.

Nothing very impressive, had a hard time connecting to both MC's and even more so to Alex. Felt like a knock off a Lee Winter book. Will probably not read another book by this author.
