Come One Come All -The Circus is in Town!

Small backstory:

In the small town of Hope the circus is coming to town but no one can figure out why the circus is early as normally they don't come to town till later in the year but no one gives it a second thought when the circus arrives.

The Jorgenson family decides to take their son Noah to the circus so that he can experience his first circus but when Noah disappears and no one seems to know what happened is when his parents become frantic and the whole town is turned upside down trying to find him!

That is about all I can hand out with a small backstory without giving away spoilers so if you want to know more then go read this book!

Thoughts:

This story is a short novella but I was pulled into the story right away as the author's writing style just flowed along. This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. The story has some gory spots too which I had to pull out my "gore suit" as there are evil clowns involved in this book and gore started flying!

When the child character Noah disappears the book goes into overdrive and the evil clowns become more a focal point of the story as I was wondering how the story was going to turn out! There is a sequel to this book which I need to read at some point and looking forward to reading that before the end of this year. Giving this book four "Evil Crazy Clowns" stars!

Eerie! When the circus come to town, everyone aside from 2 people are there. Clown who feast on flesh, a disappearing circus and a clisterfuck of characters? Sign me up! Loveeeee Glenda! A search for a couples missing son comes up cold when the whole damn circus disappears. Was really hoping they would get caught! Will have to see what happens in next story!

Thank you M. D. Labelle

This short story gave me a nostalgic feel from the 1970s. Small mom and pop Circus Tents came in our town in a particular time of year possibly in fall. That was over 50 plus years so not sure of the time of year the tent revival circus arrived.

Evil begins to rise up over night, the night the Circus arrived in town. No longer a sleepy town with the worst crime was being finding a lost pet. The crimes are gruesome and scattered throughout the town including some inside the Circus.

Love the cover of this book. It's what drew me into reading this book. The author is both a Word Smith and Artist. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Book review of The Circus by M.D. LaBelle.

I received an ebook copy of The Circus for an honest review. Thank you, M. D. LaBelle!

In the town of Hope, nothing is as it seems after The Circus mysteriously comes to town and just as quickly disappears leaving behind horror and chaos. As a child, I watched and loved Ray Bradbury’s Something Wicked This Way Comes. This novella gave me all those chilling vibes! An evil circus, a sleepy small town, clowns, and unsuspecting townsfolk with secrets of their own, YES please! And the cover is Gloriously Nightmarish! Bonus, my name is in it! 16x (not that I counted 😉). My only complaint is I wanted more! Well written, quick read. Loved this book! 5⭐️ read. Worth your time to pick this one up!

Wow! I absolutely loved everything about this book. From the cover art to the narration and everything in between.
This is a shortish novella so I don’t want to give anything away. This story is a fresh take on the clown sub-genre, is very well written, has interesting and well developed characters and has it’s share of gore. I was amazed by how much was going on in such a short book and would have loved for the story to keep going.
This is a must read if you are a horror fan. Also, there are some uncomfortable situations so beware if you have any triggers.

You have a nice, quiet town where nothing bad ever happens. Then a circus comes to town in the Fall; that’s the first weird thing. Almost the whole town shows up on opening night. Children go missing and heinous crimes happen. Could all of this be related to the weird circus?

This is a quick and creepy read and full of not so nice clowns. I really enjoyed it and recommend it! Looking forward to reading more of her books.

The simple small town life is pretty normal, not much happens, but when a Circus comes to town one night, you slowly find things aren’t always as they appear. The Circus brings nostalgic memories to many of the townsfolk, and many get excited thinking about their night out. When a young boy named Noah wanders off to go look at the baby bear, he disappears. What truly is happening in the circus? Is something evil happening in the circus? What has happened to Noah?

The story is very short but definitely an enjoyable story. It gives you that sinister feel.

The story could easily have been made into a longer story, but definitely a good quick story. It’s a nice palette cleanse in between longer stories.

I received this Arc in exchange for an honest review
