Ayden is a doctor, Noah is a hit man - together they sizzle 🥵🥵 As she is drawn into Noah’s world, can she cope with what he does? Will he come home alive? As the relationship develops very quickly, so does Ayden’s career, as she is drawn into this world/family that she never new existed.
This is the first book that I have read written by Nikki and will most definitely not be my last - have got them and ready to read! From page to page, chapter to chapter, I could not put it down - you will be hooked! Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed

So I received an arc copy. This is my first Nikki Rome book land it won’t be my last. This book is about a doctor and a hit man Ayden and Noah.who have a very 🥵relationship that develops overtime. Absolutely amazing go read this book.

This was my first Nikki Rome book and I really enjoyed her writing style, especially the dual point of views of the main male and main female.
I received this book as a digital ARC and I couldn’t have been happier when I got the email, this is my first ARC and I am very grateful to have gotten on Nikki Rome’s ARC list.
For new readers I recommend reading the previous books in this series, there are characters from the previous two books that make appearances and if I’m completely honest I was a little confused because I hadn’t read the first two before diving into this one.
I loved Noah and Ayden’s story and their unconventional meet cute. I also loved Noah’s crazy side and the fact that Ayden had a little crazy hidden inside, even from herself. I enjoyed the flow of the story and will definitely read Nikki Rome’s previous books as well as any future books she decides to release.
I do recommend you read the trigger warnings before diving in as there are minimal gory scenes and quite a few spicy ones.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did and that my review helped you to decide whether or not you wanted to read this.

This story was told in dual first person POV and is a standalone quick read. I have enjoyed all of Nikki Rome’s books so far and I enjoyed this one as well. This does leave you on a cliffhanger, but I’m curious to know if it will be for Noah and Ayden or Mia and Antonio.
I loved that Noah was determined to rid the world of the evil men who did harm. He had a dark and twisted side, but he also had a soft side reserved for his mother, Ayden and her cat. I loved that he gave Ayden a choice to be with him or not and gave her the space she requested, even if it was a little unconventional in his way of “space.”
I loved that Ayden had a hint of a dark side as well, even if she didn’t know she did. I loved that she stood up to Noah and wasn’t afraid to express her feelings about situations. I was happy to see that she finally decided to quit ignoring her feelings for Noah and worked things out with him.
This was an insta-love story that happens in the world of the Dark Kings. I loved seeing the three kings and their queens after their stories came to an end. I loved the mention of Raven and Talia as well. I can’t wait for more stories from this world and how they all kind of connect in one way or another. I was provided an advanced readers copy. Well, f****** hell that was a cliff hanger, this book has a lot of spice, and alot of growth. I have never read any of Nikki's books before and I truly enjoyed this.
All kinds of jobs make the world go you. Usually you want to marry a Doctor or a lawyer, not a hitmat. The connection is so real, right from the start. It's hard to walk away.
But, Ayden and Noah have fallen in love.
And I had no idea that this was the 3rd book!!!

Great book if you like it dark.
This was about Ayden who works in a prison medical clinic and meets desperate prison mate Noah.
Gripping and involving. So much suspense and drama also but the chemistry between Noah and Ayden, although brutal at times seems realistic.
Very well done I enjoy this book and it has a really great plot, simple but original and is done well.

I won’t lie this is my first Nikki Rome book and I am honestly impressed with her writing style. And how well she weaves this story. I can literally picture each scene and each character in mh head. And I love that when I read a book and I can picture everything. This book should definitely be added to your TBR you won’t regret it

Dark romance, prison setting, doctor/prisoner, shady business, secrets and surprises will have you turning the pages in this suspenseful and exciting read. The writing is so descriptive that you could practically visualize the scenes coming to life. Well written and full of in-depth characters.

What an amazing book! Ayden is a doctor at a prison where she meets Noah a hit man. The start of their relationship wasn’t done in the conventional way, but you can truly feel their chemistry and love for each other. I recommend this book if you like dark romance.

Now this was a seriously phenomenal dark romance story! I started reading it and just could not put it down. This author hooks you from page one and you will devour this book. Definitely a must read if you love the darker romance!

Just like Ayden, I felt slightly conflicted empathising with Noah - an anti-hero who is definitely deranged and definitely in love with Ayden.

I got an ARC read of this Nikki Rome story, my first one but certainly not the last. Ayden, a prison doctor, crosses paths with Noah, a mysterious hitman. Their sizzling relationship raises the question: Can Ayden, dedicated to saving lives, be with someone who takes them? This book is spicy in all the right places, with a captivating story. Highly recommend for a fun and easy read!

Noah is a hire hit man but he only killed the people who did evil things to women. His last hit took him to jail. He acted like he was incarcerated and when the time was right he went to the infirmary and killed the man.
Ayden was the doctor at the jail Noah was at and at least once a week he would make an excuse to go to the infirmary to see her.
When Noah did his job and he was leaving he took Ayden with him. She didn’t protest or put up a fight. She couldn’t figure out why either. When they got back to Noah’s he was very honest with her snd basically told her what he did. He asked if she would give them a chance to work out.
Will Ayden stay with Noah? Will his job scare her to run?
