I agreed to be my best friend’s surrogate. Then I had a one night stand. And then I realized I slept with my bestie’s OBGYN. Who’s definitely not going to knock me up…
When I meet gorgeous Dr Grant Richards, apparently, there’s no stopping me. The handsome silver fox has my panties practically igniting with one look…
So we spend the night together.
And meet again in the examination room, with my bestie by my side, because she’s his patient.
My best friend needs me to get pregnant, because she cannot carry a baby herself.
But before the procedure can happen, I break…
Because despite my best efforts, I’m pregnant already…
And the baby? It’s Grant’s.
Doctor Baby Daddy is a standalone spicy romance with these tropes: age gap, medical romance, SURPRISE PREGNANCY & more! Get your pulse racing with this full-length novel!
Dr. G and Jolie have a spicy hookup then she realizes it is her best friend’s Dr. Grant is the nice guy hero type, they are both overzealous people pleasers. Dr baby daddy to the rescue 💋 I did not like the best friend surrogate angst but it was better than an OW. The places they did the deed mmmm whoa 😬🫢
First, I enjoyed reading this book, but it was a little squeamish for the doctor/patient relationship. Of course they didn't know they were doctor/patient when they first had sex, but it should have stopped after that. But what would be the fun in that?
Jolie and Grant are very likable characters. You feel bad for Jolie because of her upbringing. She has had a sheltered life and seems to be under her father's control for most of the book. Grant has a problem trusting women after his ex-wife left him for her yoga instructor. But he clicks with Jolie right away.
When she finds out she's pregnant, she hides it from everyone possible until it's too late. The way Grant comes in to sweep her away from her captivity was very sweet and showed growth in his character.
This series has its ups and downs, but it seems like this book took the series in a better direction. The one thing off on it was that people forgave Jolie a little too easily. She is supposed to be a surrogate for her best friend. Ending up pregnant really put her best friend in a tight spot.

There were only a few moments in this book when someone didnt piss me off and in all the others they were at it like rabbits other than that you can never go wrong with a suprise pregnacy book
I've read a lot of books written by Sofia T. Summers; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is part of the Forbidden Doctor’s Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Jolie & Grant; she agrees to be her best friend’s surrogate but ends up having a one-night stand with him and gets pregnant.

Safety warning/Triggers:
Jolie and Grant’s story had an interesting premise and that is why I picked this one up. I cannot fault the writing itself or how well the tropes featured in this book go together however I found the book to tell me more than it showed me and for that it felt underdeveloped and lacking.
We’re told Jolie and Grant have so much in common, are so interested in each other, the chemistry is amazing, and they're both kind and attentive and whilst I could see it I didn’t believe it. It felt like we got a whistle-stop tour of their interactions, which were mainly glanced over sex scenes, and then they weren’t interacting. They had 3-4 meetings with complete radio silence between them - either because there was no way of them communicating or there was but they chose not to - and then they were confessing a once in a lifetime love and all I could think was where did this come from? It resulted in an underdeveloped romance that I couldn’t connect to and characters I felt I learnt nothing about.
The third act drama was well thought out considering the themes of the book. With Jolie planning on being the surrogate for her best friend but ending up getting pregnant with Grant the doctor overseeing the surrogacy. To Jolie’s father having traditionalist views and being a pro-life advocate the making of good drama was there. It was obvious and the build up to it took over its fair share of the plot but the drama happened so late in the book it resulted in a quick resolution which didn’t give it the path to resolution it deserved and probably needed. So once again the execution was lacking considering the heavier themes in this book.
Doctor Baby Daddy was an okay read but one that was obviously not for me. I needed more development from it and as a result could not connect to the plot or the characters.
She agrees to be her best friends baby surrogate and he’s the doctor. They met the night before the appointment at the bar and hit it off - she wanted him to take her v card. She leaves him before he wakes up. He finally found someone who intrigues him enough to want to date after his ex wife cheated on him 3 years ago. She doesn’t tell her friend he’s the guy who took her v. She goes to her appointments with him only he keeps crossing the line at the office and she is loud so his coworkers figure things out. I didn’t like how he kept doing this - risking his career for sex. Backdoor second time in office…later on chest
Car sex in the garage when paparazzi catch them. Her dad is a strict politician. She doesnt tell him Who her father is. Condom breaks. She gets pregnant but can’t tell her friend because she is supposed to be having her baby instead. She also tells the office to hide the results from her file from him.
He professes his love pretty quickly and is very persistent but she is weary due to surrogacy promise and her father. He continues to pursue her even when she ignores him for a month.
His coworkers go behind his back to take over the company. He is furious.
He thinks she might be pregnant after he hears she is sick - he pursues her at her parents home to have the door shut in his face. Her parents find out about the baby and are furious with her - she runs away - and u think to anywhere… but she runs to Grant and confesses all ❤️❤️! He proposes the next day.
Christmas wedding and her friend announces she is pregnant via ivf with twins …and 7 months later baby boy… … and 4 years later - 2nd pregnancy announcement- plus her friend has another kid
Some kind of graphic word choices… slurping and juices… kind of cringey.

I thought this book and its plot line was pretty good. To me Jolie is a people pleaser. To her she had to make sure everyone around her was happy even at the expense of her own happiness. Especially with the whole surrogacy for the best friend! Like i understood the wanting to help but wary of how your friend would react when everyday life shouldn’t have been revolving around her trying to have a baby through you. She had other avenues to venture through but when it came down to Jolie finding happiness and finding love and getting knocked up (unplanned btw) your first reaction was to be upset. That was a little selfish to me in my opinion but i guess they mended that part towards the end. Grant is such a great guy! He was taking hits in every direction but he still took everything with this head on straight and i loved that for him. I really disliked Helen. Kevin is alright. Jolie and grant deserve so much more! They were a match made in heaven. I loved everything about their dynamic. The exam room scene was HOT. I loved that for them! Overall the plot flowed through the book with ease. I just wish there was more accountability on the best friend part. Especially with all the stress and expectations she brought onto Jolie and i knew she knew how much of a people pleaser her friend was and playing into that when she asked her to be her surrogate. Those were my only thoughts on that. I loved this book and it was a great read! I hope this wasn’t too critical! I really did love reading this book!.

While I enjoy the secret/surprise baby trope I can't relate to it so keep that in kind.
I couldn't relate to a lot in this book, so while I enjoyed it I was also annoyed. The level of desperation Theresa felt to have a baby was insane to me. She was 26!!!! And she felt like it was going to end her marriage if she didn't get pregnant or force Jolie to get pregnant. I do understand how infertility can be traumatic, but resa came across as a very selfish bestie to me. She had a ton of demands for jolie and jolie was doing her a HUGE favor by being a surrogate! something bad happens and reward response was that she didn't want go through it again so jolie would.do.it for her. I'm sorry, what???the entire book is homie feeling guilty and like she's a bad friend to read and has always been a bad friend to her, but I really only saw resa be a bad friend to jolie.
Jolie's dad is the worst, he's the he gets so angry and screams so much that he has spittle spraying at his crying daughter. Everybody in the family is afraid of him and he's extremely controlling. Add in the extreme religious guilt. So extreme that a morning after pill taken within an hour of the incident is considered m u r d, you get the idea. Basically Jolie wallows in guilt for 98% of the book. It got very annoying how much guilt she felt and then how she avoided just telling people what was going on. She seemed younger than 26 to me.
Doctor Baby Daddy is part of the Forbidden Doctors series but can be read as a standalone. It is an age gap forbidden romance surprise baby story with a twist all rolled into one. It follows Jolie her best friend Theresa and Dr. Grant Richards. The premise of the story is Jolie a virgin who is in her mid twenties agrees to be her best friend Theresa (Resa) surrogate but gets pregnant before that can happen which obviously causes a riff between them and her strict family.
Her life changed when she was out celebrating with her college friends whowere teasing her calling her Virgin Mary because she agreed to be her best friends surrogate even though she's never had sex. So when a handsome older man began buying her drinks she decides tonight's the night she's going to lose her virginity before becominga surrogate. Of course her one night stand ends up being her friends doctor. To say life get complicated is an understatement. Between her father a Senator with very old fashioned beliefs about women, marriage, and especially sex before marriage and a mother who acts like a good little Stafford wife then add in her devastated best friend. Oh and let's not forget she's having sex with Grant the doctor who will be doing the test and procedures.

Their Destined Forever - Even though Jolie and Grant’s one night stand left an imprint on them, they never expected to see each other again and more importantly find themselves in a complicated medical situation. Whilst Grant tried to maintain a professional relationship with Jolie, their connection made it difficult for them to keep their hands off each other every time they met. Unfortunately, both their lives were impacted when their secret relationship was discovered, but Jolie also received life changing news that caused her to walk away, as she worried about her friendship and family.
As Grant wasn’t prepared to let go of Jolie he decided to pursue her, but her father placed a stumbling in his path. Fortunately, Jolie found her way back to Grant when she was in distress and needed comfort, which gave them a chance at getting the opportunity for a happily ever after. This scintillating story, had the right balance of drama and steamy moments to ensure the reader is captivated from the beginning until the end. I really enjoyed reading this story and I look forward to reading more of this talented author’s books.

You will fall for Grant. He is every woman's dream man. Loved the characters in this book, they give you all the feels of what they are going through. Jolie is to be her best friends surrogate and is about to go through all the tests. She meets Grant at a club and is attracted to him from the very start. She spent one night with him but as much as she wanted to go back, she couldn't let her friend Resa down, as she promised to do this surrogacy for her. The first appointment with Resa, Jolie meets the obgyn who is Grant. Jolie told Resa about her one night, but could now never tell her who he is, which Jolie feels a lot a guilt about. Grant is very open about his feelings for Jolie and is not willing to let her go. The chemistry is so high with these two, that when they are together Jolie gives in to him every time, but when she leaves, she carries all the guilt with her. She so desperately tries to do the right thing and stay away, but things take a turn when she accidently gets pregnant. Her father is in the public eye. He is a Senator and Jolie knows this will affect her families reputation. Grant is threatened by the board about his relationship with his patient. Is their love strong enough to pull them through all this. Well written and very enjoyable read.
This is the 10th story in the Forbidden Doctors Series. They all their own characters and stories. In this one we have Jolie a young woman in her 20’s living with her parents and her father is a senator with extreme views. When Jolie agrees to become a surrogate for her best friend Resa there is nothing but one issue after another, Jolie’s father, Resa getting pregnant and losing the baby and then Jolie’s one night out meets a gorgeous older man, Grant. These two spend one night together and she finally loses her virginity and she walks away only to discover it’s Resa’s fertility doctor! These two have many inappropriate moments in the office during visits causing their lives to quickly come unraveled. Jolie knows it’s impossible for her dad to ever accept Grant. How these two find a way to work through their difficult situations will either destroy them and their chance at love or allow those they care for and love to accept them. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion and review. Doctor Baby Daddy is a part of the Forbidden Doctors series but it can be read as a standalone. It's written in dual POV and follows Jolie and Dr. Grant Richards. I thought this was a really cute book but shoooot I was stressed out! It was like the universe and everyone else was working against these two. But thank god Grant doesn't give up. I really loved the surrogacy idea, I thought it was pretty unique and who doesn't love a Dr/Patient story with lots of spice!
✓Age gap ✓Dr/Patient ✓Pregnancy ✓Virgin FMC
If you struggle with infertility issues, or have PCOS, you should be mindful that this story will evoke emotions. Jolie is in the process of being a surrogate for her best friend, who has had multiple miscarriages, before she falls pregnant and struggles with sharing her news without breaking her best friends heart.
Doctor Baby Daddy is a steamy age-gap romance that give the main characters of Grant and Jolie a run for their money. They unexpectedly meet at a club and have a one-night stand. While she sneaks out she doesn't ever expect their paths to cross again. But they are both in for a surprise.
The story is told in alternating chapters by each of them. There are so many twists and turns to the story and lots of inappropriate locations for their sexual encounters. There are heartfelt moments knowing his heart is in the right place but there are so many rules being broken. I liked how the story evolved and there were several happily ever afters in the end especially with the epilogue.
Ms. Summers is definitely someone who takes me out of my comfort zone and I look forward to reading what she pens next!.

After having a one night stand with the dr ( they didn’t know at the time he would be her dr ) they are both shocked to meet at his dr office. There and then he should have excused himself and brought in his partner to take over than carried on with seeing each other but every time and I meen every appointment they had they had sex. No dr would do that, it just wasn’t realistic he was in his 40’s and should have had control of himself, the situation and his practice. It was a huge issue for me to keep reading as so not realistic!!! Her dad well it was like she was a pregnant teen not a 26 yr old woman and the fact he acted that way and his family said nothing as he tried to ship jolie off to an out of state relative was laughable. Then because they marry it’s all happy families, so much more I could say but don’t want to put off readers I am just stating my honest opinion as a reader I wouldn’t recommend to my friends
Jolie has agreed to be a surrogate for her best friend Resa, and she decides to have a quick fling before she becomes pregnant. What will happen if that fling turns up to be the doctor? Grant finds Jolie too tempting, can he keep professional when she rocks into his waiting room? I enjoyed this forbidden romance, the nice scorching steam between Jolie and Grant, and a bit of them loosing their heads to it. Although they don't always make the best decisions, it certainly adds to the drama.

Oops....she is already knocked up and by her new doctor
Doctor Baby Daddy is the tenth book in the Forbidden Doctors series. This story takes some turns I was not expecting as Jolie and Grant start off having a toe-curling one night stand. Then they discover that they will be doctor and patient. But the kicker is that while she is meant to get pregnant as a surrogate for her best friend she is instead already got pregnant the old fashion way with Grant. Oops...can you say big mix up.
The h spent the book pretending to one thing while acting like the opposite. Seemingly smart but every action she picked would have been more thought out by a wooden fence post. Acting like a good friend while behaving like a crappy one. Playing at being an adult but responding to any push back like a child, or an ostrich with her head in the sand, hiding from reality, facts, truth and straight up life. The H acted like an honorable guy & dr as he repeatedly banged a patient (the h no OW) in the office! Overall two very unlikable main characters with a bunch of unlikable minor characters.
Normally, I am all about age gap romance, but this one left me feeling uncomfortable. I think between Grant's persistence and Jolie's imaturity, things didn't feel as they should have. I completely understood where Jolie was coming from when it came to guilt, but avoiding Grant and her best friend didn't seem like the right way to handle things. Grant also came off way too strong, and that is why things were uncomfortable to me. I did have high hopes for this book, but unfortunately I just didn't love it.
This was an amazing storyline. The fact that it has such a prominent look on what sooo many women struggle with just pulled my heartstrings, especially since I have my own struggles. Then you have the perfect amount of spice to lighten things a bit and keep you wanting more.
The characters are so well written in who they are, the morals they have, and taking accountability for their actions (even if delayed at times).
I did enjoy reading this, it definitely isn't the kind of forbidden you expect. It did move extremely fast and some of the charcters although, are supposed to be really nice, I found myself not liking.
Both MC's are the absolute sweetest and I know its a book, but it couldn't have been written for nicer characters. So sweet, whilst being incredibly gut wrenching. I loved the HEA. I think that really made it for me.
Kept me glued… I come from a conservative background so her parents made me think of mine (except for the $). I love it when a story doesn’t pretend as though all repercussions are magically swept away and this one didn’t- just found solutions for all to have a HEA.

This is a well written book with strong characters in Jolie and Grant. The author brings a bit of drama and heartbreak along with the forbidden romance and steamy chemistry. She moves the story fluidly and delivers a terrific read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
The author has given us a wonderful older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Grant, Jolie and her best friend, Theresa. The story keeps us turning the pages with promises, connection, obstacles and steam.

This book sounded like just my jam because I am all about age gap and the forbidden. However, Jolie and Grant's story simply didn't hit that sweet spot for me. I mean it was a steamy, emotional and dramatic romance and I like Grant well enough, but Jolie rubbed me wrong right from the start and sadly that never changed. Overall, I ended up thinking this was just an OK read.
Jolie was one way or another going to get pregancy by Grant... just not in the way as she intended. Him a OBGYN and her an intended surrogate. These two have undeniable and insanely hot chemistry. There was a kindle melting scene other two. I was 100 percent rooting for these two. They are a very likable couple.
I loved the whole story. Jolie is prepared to be the surrogate for her best friend. She is in for a surprise when the doctor for her best friend is her one night stand. They both get a surprise that will have last repercussions. This is a great steamy read.
