Hunted by a deadly force, danger turns animosity into passion. Will the unlikely pair find their path back home?

Trapped in the past with no easy way home, sharp-tongued witch Sylvie and bad-boy necromancer Penley try to ignore their growing feelings for each other. Amidst the ticking clock of their time-traveling dilemma, Sylvie vows to mend the fractures caused by their journey. But a warning not to return home complicates their predicament.

Meanwhile, Penley slips into old partying habits in an attempt to forget the witch’s siren call. But in doing so, he risks losing his link to the future. After an old ally reveals a shocking secret, the necromancer realizes how deep his connection with Sylvie runs.

The pair is soon forced to confront their passions. But betrayals surface, and alliances crumble as danger looms, making it dangerous for the duo to remain in the past. Will an unlikely ally get them home, or will the evil entity hunting them seal their fate?

Immerse in suspense, enchantment and romance as Sylvie and Penley confront an otherworldly threat that is scarier than their feelings for each other, in this enemies-to-lovers tale.

Great second book in the series things are heating up with all the things happening with sylvie and Penley and mix in Lucio ! Just when you think things couldn’t get worse it does ! Can’t wait for the last book to find out what happens and the proper reason behind it all / what’s right and what’s wrong !

A fun and enjoyable read, with the action now set mostly in Victorian London, which made an interesting change. The main protagonists are as fiery as usual, with the mutual attraction becoming quite significant!
One thing I really enjoyed about this particular book in the series was the contrast between the 'main' characters in the past, and the ones left in the present day. I found the change of tempo, time and geography, to really add something to this book.
But back to the difficult duo, and I do think anyone who loves books about the paranormal, witches, or just compelling will they/won't they romance books, will love this book. Best read as part of the series, or at least start with book 6.
