Going with my grumpy billionaire boss to a charity ball sounded simple enough. But now Dalton wants to teach me to waltz and my two left feet have a mind of their own. Even though I've stomped his poor toes to a pulp, Dalton's determined to spin me around the ballroom flawlessly for the big event. Little does he know I've got butterflies doing backflips in my stomach that have nothing to do with dancing. Maybe I'm not as immune to his dreamy eyes and delicious cologne as I thought.
Oh boy. Fake-dating my boss is a bad idea…and what if the feelings become real? How can I work with him after that kiss? Especially when his interfering mother thinks I'm just after his money to support my little boy. With my heart and my son's at stake, I have to find a way to make this arrangement work without losing my job.
If you enjoyed The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory, you'll love the whirlwind of emotions in the sweet romantic comedy, Fake Dating My Grumpy Billionaire Boss. Be swept away to gorgeous Nantucket Island and experience heart-warming unexpected love.
Unfortunately this novella felt underdeveloped, I believe it would have functioned better as a full-length novel. The relationship just didn’t feel realistic in the short amount of time.
Decent story. Rex drove me insane though for some reason. The way he just did whatever he wanted and all Pam would do is give him a look or tell him to stop but yet he still wouldn’t. And Dalton just being so smitten by it. I’m not sure, but it rubbed me the wrong way for some reason.

“It’s amazing how one touch from you and my problemes dissolve in an instant. I couldn’t care less about anything else right now. As long as I have you in my life, all is right in my world.”

A very cute and wholesome contemporary romance. We’ve got boos x employee, single mom, grumpy x sunshine.
No spice just cuteness.

Well that was really short, too short (in my opinion) for someone to fall in love with their boss, their boss to fall in love with them AND want to be a dad to their little boy. I think this could’ve made a cute regular length book instead of a novella. I liked Pam and Dalton but their story just needed way more details and time. Insta love after a fake dating weekend just didn’t cut it.
It was neat to see it connect to the book I just finished about Pam’s sister, Melanie, who got married on Nantucket where most of this novella took place.
The storyline had a very rushed timeline due to the book being so short. The timeline of the storyline was highly unrealistic without any background story of 1. How long they’ve worked together 2. Were there any feelings prior to the trip to Nantucket? There was little to no character exploration and very little relationship development details between Dalton & Pam. Not one of the good books I’ve read at all.
This is a sweet, beachy, evening read about Dalton, a billionaire boss with a mother trying to micromanage his life, falling in love with his single mom personal assistant Pam. I liked that it could be read in a short amount of time, but didn't skimp on the sweet and tender moments between them. Little Rex just stole the show. No wonder Dalton fell in love with him also
I purchased a copy of this story on Amazon and voluntarily chose to share my review.
Lovely easy read, now I want to read her other books. I know it’s supposed to be a novella but it would’ve been nice to have more details in certain places to fill out and add to the story. More about their working relationship before the fake dating and more about their time on Nantucket. I enjoyed Pam and daltons relationship, very sweet.
I didnt realize it was a single mother story, which I'm not the biggest fan of to begin with, although the issue for me is that it's simply too short. I know that's what a novella(ette) is meant to be, but I felt I didn't have time to learn and care about the characters. It was a decent time waster for half an hour but I wouldn't necessarily hype about it.
If you are looking for a sweet, short, and simple story then this is for you. There is not much time to develop any characters as it is less than 100 pages so be prepared for very simple. It all seemed too easy to overcome any obstacles but I guess that was what was needed to fit everything into 50+ pages.
Story felt rushed, missing backstory (like Why isn‘t his dad involved anymore?). Felt rather rushed with low to zero depth to it. I also didn‘t pick up on why Daltons mom didn‘t like Pamela. All together - for me it was a acceptable Novella. No spice, all cutesy if you‘re into the couples dynamic. It felt rushed and I‘m a fan of a slow burn beginning, personally.
It takes you like 15 minutes to read it, so if you are looking for something easy and fast to read, then go ahead. They fall in love like in chapter one, so I don’t like it, but isn’t like I can’t expect slow burn in such a small amount of chapters

Was a good short read to read between books. I probably would have liked it more if it was a full novel and not a novella. I felt like a lot of stuff could have been spread out more into a full novel. ALSO he wasn’t even grumpy??? Change the title???
This was a great story especially for single moms. Packed all those emotions in a book about trying to work, raise a child that is ill and trying to make ends meet. Relatable with an amazing ending.
paigeledora@yahoo.com It weak there no passion. You want relate to the people. You want feeling, you want it to take you in. To another to were they are
👍: - great novella length - fake date is super cute - love how they included the son, Rex, and how he is the center of her world. 👎: - instant love - big plot hole that they’re in a completely different area on a date and her son is… ? In the hotel room alone? Where is he?
